E6420 Blank screen during boot
Earlier it was fine....from last 15 days it boots once after 4-5 resets or else after dell logo screen appeared blank sometime with blinking cursor...also system is overheating at its startup.....help me....

Bluetooth Peripheral Device
My Latitude 6430u is running Windows 7 64 Bit. The Device Manager shows the following exception under Other Devices "Bluetooth Peripheral Device". I was able to pair my Plantronics BT headset without an issue. I have tried reinstalling the drivers with no luck. I just rebuilt this machine so it is all clean although the problem existed prior to me rebuilding the machine.
For reference I installed the Dell Wireless 380 Bluetooth Application
File Name: Network_Application_9CP1N_WN_6.5.1.4000_A02.EXE
I have reinstalled the driver several times with no luck... I am about to upgrade to Windows 10 and would prefer to have everything running cleanly before I do so.

Dell Inspron 15 3000 series laptop wont find wifi
Hi, ive had this laptop for a while now and recently ive been having problems with it. It always connected to wifi, however now it cannot find any wifi connections. Ive tried fn + f2 and f2, but no luck. Also, I cannot find the wifi on/off switch on my laptop, it is not on the sides nor is it on the keyboard. Please help. Thanks

SD card reader speed on xps13 skylake
Hi,
I just bought the 6th generation Dell XPS 13 skylake (9350-1340SLV) and try to figure out what the supported speed of the SD card reader is. The manuals say nothing and I googled with very little result. I want to permanently insert a 128GB microSD with a shortened SD card adapter and I want to reach speeds reasonably close to the best speeds possible.
So, does anybody know what the specs of the SD card reader are or what microSD would be a good match?

Help: Install SSD on an Alienware 17R3?
Good day guys. I am looking for some help, I just bought an Alienware 17 R3. I am trying to install a "Samsung 850 EVO MZ-75E500 - Solid state drive - 500 GB" as a secondary one, but I want to make sure I don't screw up as I am about to open it up. Does anyone have a link or a video of how to do this?
My Alienware Specs: Processor: Intel(R) Core i7-6820HK CPU @ 2.7GHz Ram: 16 RAM Disk Drives: (Boot) SSD CM871 M.2 2280 128GB (HD1) SATA 1TB GPU: GTX 980M Nvidia
All the videos I have seen in YouTube are about other Alienware 17 versions, so I want to check if I can get an actual roadmap with the actual newest model :)

Blinking Scroll and Caps Lock, Solid Number Lock with No Bootup
My laptop used to overheat and did this before, I had it taken to a tech guy and he said it was fine. I get it back and in less than 48 hours, after I forget to plug it in and it dies, the blinking lights start again when I turned it back on. The laptop turns on, but has a blank screen and does not respond. I can turn it off, but it turns itself back on after awhile and the scroll and caps lock begins to blink again. This time around it didn't overheat, and I was only using it off and on for two hours. The blinking doesn't stop. I don't have money for new parts, and apparently it was fine when the tech guy had it. I didn't lose any files or installations the first time around, so I have no clue what is wrong with it.

Dell Inspiron 15R N5110 3 beep error code
I have an Inspiron 15R N5110 laptop that I have been fighting a 3 beep error code on start. So far I have Changed the MB, Power board, Ram, Processor, Power Button, LCD Screen Cable, HDD is OK, and I have found that if I unplug the Audio Ethernet USB Port Board the laptop will boot up which leads me to believe that the Board is no good. Have I missed anything or am I on the right track? [*-)]

Alienware MX 14 R2 (2013 edition) will not boot to Windows.
After finishing my new desktop build, I decided to "Factory reset" my Alienware MX14 R2 notebook back to Windows 8. Everything was running fine for a few days and then I turn my notebook on and get this: " Your PC needs to be repaired, a required device isn't connected or can't be accessed" Error code:0xc0000225.
After completing the "Factory reset" I forgot to change my Windows update settings to: " Check for updates but, let me decide when to download and install", and I get the dreaded Windows 10 upgrade update. As I have done on all my machines, I found the update (KB3035583) and uninstalled it, only this time when I did, the screen "flashed" and the icons I had pinned to the task-bar disappeared for a second and then reappeared. I thought it was odd but didn't think to much about it. Then I notice I can not access my Windows Explorer tab and I get a message that my version of Windows needs to be activated. This version of Windows 8 came pre-installed and has been activated for years now.
The next morning, I tried to boot the notebook up and get the blue screen with the error mentioned above. OK...luckily I had done a back up (on a USB stick) before I uninstalled the Windows 10 update and all the crazy stuff mentioned above started happening. I booted with the usb stick, tried to do a system recovery through Alienware Respawn and now I get this code: "Error: 0x4001001300001002 If this issue persists, please contact Dell Support". I have read in Microsoft forums that this error code usually happens after using the Media Tool but, that's not the case with me. I used the back up image I created through Alienware Backup and recovery.
What do I do next?
**UPDATE**
I tried to reinstall Windows 8 using the Media tool just to see what would happen and I am getting this: "Unable to reset your PC. A required drive partition is missing."

Dell Power Manager messed up
Hello,
so I've reinstalled my E7250, and installed Dell Command | Power Manager. Went to thermal management and there are 4 choices:
* Optimised
* Cool
* Quiet
* Performance
all nice and dandy, except that Quiet is louder than both Optimised and Performance, and Performance is quieter than Optimised, which is all messed up.
Why is this, are the names messed up or what?

29 of the 34 dumps had a bugcheck = 0x19 (bad pool header). 26 of those listed probable cause as the Microsoft driver disk.sys, which is merely a default. 4 dumps listed Intel storage driver iastorA.sys.

One dump had a bugcheck = 0xc4 - Driver Verifier flagged a driver. However,
it was a Microsoft driver that was flagged. This in and of itself confirms that
system problem is more than likely related to unknown hardware failure.
Kernel memory dumps are incapable of telling the exact piece of hardware that has failed.
The problem may also be with other hardware parts such as the motherboard
or PSU for which there are no software tests. SUGGESTIONS ???? I have laptop couple
weeks only problems from day one

Flickering Screen
Hallo,
I have a dell E7250 Service Tag: <ADMIN NOTE: Service tag removed per privacy policy> | Express Service Code: <ADMIN NOTE: Express service code removed per privacy policy>.
The screen has been flickering since mid last week and logging a complaint via your website i get the message " We are unable to verify the service attached to the Service Tag or Express Service Code you have entered. Please verify your entry. If you recently purchased a system, please try again in 48 hours or contact us by phone."
Please advice on how this can be resolved as the laptop is still under warranty.

Transfer of warranty - and service history
Hi,
I want to pass on my Dell Inspiron laptop, the new owner has asked whether I can provide the warranty as well. The laptop is still within the one year Dell standard warranty period.
Will Dell allow the warranty to be transferred if the laptop is passed on (or sold?). What kind of information do I need to provide? If it is possible, is it something I need to arrange with Dell myself before I pass the machine over, or does the new owner need to arrange themselves?
Finally, will the new owner have access to the history of the laptop e.g. any communication between myself and Dell, or access to my own personal information e.g. email address I used to register the laptop, invoice details, any personal information I provided to Dell when I bought the laptop.
The potential new owner is a colleague at my work, and they are trustworthy, but I just want to make sure i'm not leaving myself open to anyone being able to access personal information.

INSPIRON 15 3521 wifi drivers
i bought this inspiron 15 3521 laptop from a pawnshop.....ive gotten ALL the needed drivers for windows 7.. but when i try to install the WIFI drivers.. it asks me to turn on bluetooth..... but i see no bluetooth button on the keyboard... is there any drivers.. JUST FOR WIFI ADAPTER ???
