Hi guys - I'm not the sharpest knife in the kitchen when it comes to finding the right drivers for my hardware, but since my Windows 7 clean install, I haven't been able to use my two USB 3.0 ports on my L501x. I've tried installing what appear to be the drivers from the support site - they unzip and install, but absolutely nothing happens, and I'm still left with unrecognized USB controllers in my device manager. Can anyone assist?

Dell Vostro 5460 - Unable to verify Service Tag
Hi
I bought a Dell Vostro 5460 from Thailand with international warranty on 22 July 2013. Now when I'm trying to register my product by entering the service tag, the following message is being displayed:
"We were unable to verify the Service Tag or Express Service Code you have entered. Please verify your entry or choose a product category below. If you recently purchased a system, please try again in 48 hours."
I have tried entering service tag in Dell Thailand and Dell India website, but still no luck!

Graphics card issues after driver update.

[Urgent] Dell Inspiron 15R SE 7520 not booting in normal mode after bios upgrade
Specs:
Core i5
AMD Radeon 7730M 2GB
500GB HD
4GB RAM
I upgraded my bios from A02 to A10 as suggested in this thread:

Now, i downloaded the update package 7520A10.exe and run it from desktop, it extracted and installed. But after installation when it automatically restarted, it says "starting windows (with windows logo)" and then a black screen with white cursor appears. No login page is displayed. But the laptop boots perfectly in safe modes. Please help.

Dell Wireless 1397 WLAN Mini-Card
Hey guys,
i had to re-install windows a couple of month back and now my Dell Wireless 1397 WLAN Mini Card doesnt work proplerly anymore.
I have an Inspiron 1545 and i am working with OS Windows 7
I tried disableing and un-installing but that didnt fix it. And when i update the Driver the wireless doent work at all anymore.
It also says that there is no IPv6 Connectivity and i dont get more than 54 mbs
Can someone please tell me how to fix this???

Continuous Beep Sound on Start up of my laptop
When I start my Dell Inspiron 1440 there is continuous beep sound on the start up. Then, I receive this message

When I press ENTER then there is a continuous beep sound again and then only does my Laptop start.
Further, when I go to google chrome, Mozilla Firefox or Internet explorer I am not able to open any websites. When I press W in the address bar the whole page disappears. Please can anybody tell me what is wrong with my laptop???

Laptop Beeps and Does not work.
When I turn on my Dell Inspiron M5010 its just a black screen beeps 8 times theres a small interval then starts again. It was working perfect earlier in the day but when i went to turn it on later that night it just didnt work. What should I Do?

Can't Install Intel Rapid Storage Technology on Dell Vostro 5460 - Windows 7 64 bit

I got difficulty when installing to use IRST on Dell Vostro 5460. I've tried for a two days but there's no use. I've searched many topics in the internet including dell support but still not solve this problem. I want to set SSD as cache memory
Dell Vostro 5460 / Core i5-3337U / 4Gb DDR3 / 500Gb HDD + 32Gb SSD / VGA 2GB Geforce GT630M.
I got that we should set Sata mode to RAID value but this option is not available in BIOS setup (There're ATA, AHCI, Intel smart response technology - ISRT).
- If I set ISRT value then I cannot see the disk drive to install OS.
- When I set AHCI, I installed Windows 7 64 bit normally with most of drivers but if I install drivers and software for Intel rapid storage technology (latest version 08th Aug), my computer will get blue screen and cannot boot to Windows. It happened the same when I changed the SATA mode to ISRT and rebooted.

1. I've tried to change some registry key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\msahci
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\iaStorV
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\iaStor (not found in my OS, even I installed drivers for ISRT).
2. Go to RAID BIOS(Use Ctrl+I) and disable accelerate option for SSD (Only if HDDs are not detected while OSRI) - It's not successful, I couldnt find RAID BIOS).

laptop shutting down
looking for solutions: laptop randomly making lots of clicking noises during use then shutting down. this takes a few minutes then will not reboot. when we do diagnostics, it say no hard drive detected. sometimes taking the battery off multiple times and rebooting multiple times works.

Nvidia Geforce and sound card drivers not displaying
Hi guys,
Ever since my clean windows 7 install, I'm unable to see the volume and brightness controls on the screen when I +/- the volume or brightness. Are those included in any of the drivers for the hardware? I've installed both RealTek and GeForce 420 drivers.

How to boot from Usb in dell inspiron 5521?

I have explored my bios for usb boot options and i am unable to find it :)
Can anyone guide me as to where is the usb boot option in dell inspiron 5521 ?
Secondly I wanted to ask that after your battery gets fully charged (i.e 100%) does keeping the charger on automatically shifts the laptop from battery to AC or it keeps overcharging your battery ? How do you check that ?

Cannot detect harddisk on Dell Inspiron 14R N4010
Hello guys.... Please help my problem... I was working on this 2 days and still can not solved the problem, i searched on the internet also could not find the solution...
First when the electricity is off while i back the data up to my external harddisk, my ext HD still plugged to my laptop and i was playing games and suddently the elcectricity is on again so my external HD automatically was read by my laptop and making my game lagging.... So i was trying to go out to windows by pressing ctrl + esc when i was on windows and trying to 'safety remove' my ext HD but not succesfully safety remove because my computer became so slow and i wait so long for the 'safety remove' option come out.
At the end i decide to press power button and boot in windows again but my windows became slow... Press windows logo on the keyboard, it did not come out and no response so i press the power britton again and boot in safemode to scan disk and i restarted. The scandisk process run half way i think because i close the lid when the process was running and i went out bring my laptop but i dont have chance open my laptop again and when i was back home i recognize the battery was empty, the battery indicator is red colour. Usually if i close the lid while on windows, it will became standby, but i dont think it will standby when the scanddisk process was running.
And the problem was starting... I could not boot in windows so i did search on internet what causes the problem... On BIOS menu for 'Fixed HDD' is none, that means my HD was not detected right? So i tried to change the setting for 'Sata Operation' from AHSI to ATA (internet said that), and it worked, on BIOS for Fixed HDD detect TOSHIBA MK3265GSX-(S1) with HDD sice 320gb, eventhougt i change the Sata Operation from ATA to AHSI it still detect my harddisk, so i save the bios setting with sata operation AHSI and the laptop was trying to boot in windows but the error message came out said "SMART Failure Predicted on Hard Disk 0: TOSHIBA MK3265GSX-(S1). Warning: Immediately back-up your data and replace your hard disk drive. A failure may be immninent. Press F1 to Continue".
If press F1 to continue, it will give us chance to press any key to boot from cd (cd rom).
Press F1 continue with out boot from cd, the are two option come out, 1. Windows startup repair 2. Start windows normally.
If choose 1, it was loading something and some screen is come out but the are no text come out at all even i wait so long.
If choose 2, it will off and start from the beginning again.
If boot from CD and we were trying to install fresh copy of windows, it did not detect the harddisk, so there is not any drive detected on the list.
So how now?? Please help, i dont know how to solve the problem. Desperate :(. sorry if my english is bad and sorry for long explanation. Any part was confusing please ask me again.

dell latitude d630 processor change
I'm changing the processor in my dell d630 laptop and the dell manual says to use thermal contact pads between the processor and thermal cooling unit. I have noticed that there are many different variations in the thickness of these pads. What size thermal pads does this laptop require or can you provide a dell part number? Also are you suppose to use thermal paste with these thermal pads?

Dell I15RV-477B Keyboard Issue
Hello,
I purchased this laptop a week ago and since then I have encountered this particular problem 3 times. The keyboard stops working all of a sudden. If I try to type in anything in Firefox, letters won't type but pressing the letter J for example brings up the Download pop up, the letter T opens a new tab etc. Furthermore, if I go to the Start Menu in Windows 8 when the keyboard stops working and try to click on an app to open it, the app is simply highlighted (which is what happens when you right-click it normally). All 3 times that it has happened, all I did was restart the computer and the keyboard started working again.
Anybody have any ideas why this is happening? Or is just a problem with the actual keyboard that I need to get fixed?

I have a N5010 laptop with an i3 processor. I believe it is the M370. I am looking to upgrade the processor to an i7 is this possible and is there a specific one to get or will any of the i7's do?
