Will the hard drive from a Sell Studio work in a Dell Latitude? I have both, but the Studio is broken. I don't want to lose what is on my hard drive and would like to know if it will work in my Latitude. The Studio hard drive has Windows 7 and Office Enterprise 2007.

unable to reset password
I have a dell latitude 10 notebook. I hadn't used my computer for a very long time because the power cord was misplaced in my move. however, I changed my password to my google account but i'm still unable to get into my computer. I would hate to waste money getting a backup usb drive if there is another solution. Please advise.

Changing bios boot order to boot from new SSD instead of HDD (Windows 10)

I switched out the 32gb cache for a 250 Samsung mSATA. Did a windows 10 upgrade (Clean install).
I can boot with the SSD only when manually selecting it in the bios (F12) if not it boots from the HDD.
(Used cloning software after upgrading to W10 on HDD)
I would like to set it so the SSD boots automatically on startup

XPS 13 9350 Update Scan Shows Already Installed Drivers & Applications
After I update drivers and applications, when I recheck using Drivers & Applications on Dell Product Support, it continues to show the already updated drivers and applications as still needing updating.
I had this problem before and Dell Support reinstalled the same drivers and applications and indicated the problem was fixed. When it happened again yesterday (first time I updated since Dell Support "fixed" it), I was told by Dell Support that they would only support the issue if I paid $230. Because this is apparently a Dell software issue, I objected. I will pay that if required, but before want to solicit help from someone who might have had the same issue and knew how to resolve it.
The unit is still under warranty.

Can't connect via Wi-Fi with SSID broadcast disabled
I like to set my router up so that my SSID is not broadcast as I think it is a logical step to take for increased security. I have not been able to do that since I started using my new Inspiron 5558 laptop. I have tried this several times and each time I disable SSID broadcast I am not able to connect to Wi-Fi on this laptop. Other remote computers in my household and my smartphone connect without a problem, but nothing I have tried allows my new Dell laptop to connect via Wi-Fi, with the exception of enabling the SSID broadcast.

inspiron 3542 does have usb 3.0 support?
I think all dell inspiron 3000 series provide the USB 3.0 support, I dont know if my 3542 have this usb 3.0 port, there have no blue usb ports, and I cannot see any xHCI info on system properties, I can see only eHCI properties on usb port properties and I cannot see any drivers for dell downloadcenter for usb 3.0, what is the truth?

Multiple Failing Hard Drives
This just seems baffling to me. I've owned my Inspiron 7737 for a year now, and I'm looking at my third failed hard drive within that period. really, the first one failed in september, so I'm looking at three failures within 4 months.
My real question is why are they wanting to replace my hard drive AGAIN? The best their support teams could offer is either I wait for my FOURTH hard drive, or I send my laptop in to be looked at and I don't get it back for five business days. How many hard drives do they have to install on the the thing to realize the hard drives are not the issue? what kind of sense does it make for them to keep replacing these things? It really just feels like they're trying to make the thing work up until my warranty expires so they can wash their hands of it.

ALIENWARE M18X 8 beeps, not workimg lcd, green vertical lines on external screen, wont bootup
Hello guys, so its first time i am posting something in forum, but i am really desperate now...
So yesterday į was using blender 3D and my Alienware just started acting weird, so į did a recovery from restore point, so after it was done everything was going nicely for 2 hours and suddenly my screen split in 2 and i panicked that my video card got broken, even though į changed it already half a year ago, but it was a bit different this time, i managed to bootup computer one more time, but then everything started flashing and computer shut down completed, when į tried to boot up, nothing showed up on screen and i only heard 8 beeps
When į tried to do lcd test (power button +D) my computer started making a lot of beep sounds and very short and fast ones.. I tried plugging in external screen to check if my pc atleast boot up, but it booted for like 2 sec and then 2 green vertical lines appeared and he started beeping again..
So tell me straight doctors, how much Will it cost...
Also į recently was carrying my computer around town alot for a few days, but i was very carefull with it..
So thats probably all į know for now, and sorry for english, not a native speaker..

Inspiron 15 not detecting either battery or power cord
Beginning about a week ago, my Dell Inspiron 15r (purchased April 2014) stopped detecting my battery. I had the icon of an empty battery with a red X. Occasionally, it seems the battery is 100% charged but if I unplug from a power source, the computer immediately shuts down. I have tried removing and resetting the battery based on discussion from another page on this site with no success. Tonight, the battery appeared to be fully charged, but then my system said it was not plugged in, although it was. I'm no longer under warranty and really would like to know what I can do, if anything.
I wasn't pleased about having my laptop for all intents and purposes become a desktop, but this unreliability to work either way is really not going to cut it.

I have inspiron 11 3147 Windows 10. Samsung 850 evo ssd drive would not run in the laptop. I had no trouble cloning the drive. It will boot up once then it stops. Any suggestions?

Dell XPS 15 9550 Bluetooth Problems
Hello! I recently got a Dell XPS 15 9550 (i7 / FHD Display / 512gb) and am having trouble getting Bluetooth to work.
- The Bluetooth button does not show in my action center.
- Can't seem to find any reference to Bluetooth in my Windows 10.
- The Bluetooth Driver software will not complete install, it says "Activate Bluetooth using Wireless Switch"
- Wireless Switch for Bluetooth is activated in the BIOS.
If anyone has any suggestions for me, I would appreciate it. Laptop is otherwise great and I just need to get Bluetooth working! Thanks -Ryan

AC Adapter Not Recognized
I have an Inspiron 5547 and whenever I plug in the adapter to my laptop, I get the error message "The AC power adapter type cannot be determined. Your system will operate slower and the battery will not charge." I'm using the adapter that came with my computer and the light is on. When I plug in the adapter, it will charge for a few seconds until the Power Manager Lite popup appears, after which it stops. According to Power Manager Lite, my battery health is excellent. It's obviously still capable of charging, as it only stops after the popup. I've already tried installing new drivers and updating the BIOS. Is there a solution to this problem?

Laptop boot problem
Dell Inspiron laptop 15R N5110
A month ago..I accidentally spilled some water on upper part of my laptop keyboard. Immediately I shut it down, removed the keyboard and placed the laptop under sunlight just to get rid of the water n moisture if any.. Then i was in my hostel and the next day i tried to boot.. Bt i was only able to open it up in safe mode.. After then i went home & my laptop was working perfectly.. I thought i had resolved it but now I'm back in my hostel & I can't even open it up.. Sometime it gives the 7 beep code.. Bt most of the time it opens and shuts down whenever I try boot to windows.. It works perfectly fine in safe mode

Inspiron n4010 with no display
Hi, my dell inspiron 14r n4010 showed bluescreen with some error and 8 beeps, then after few days their was no display by the LCD display but with 8 beeps when I powered on the laptop. But when I connect the laptop with an external monitor then it displays desktop in safe mode and not in normal mode, also shows the bluescreen with continuation of 8 beeps. Kindly help me what shoud I do.

Alienware 15 Keyboard issue
Awhile ago I spilled water onto my laptop and it made its way to the motherboard. I took it apart, dried it out, cleaned it with rubbing alcohol, and it ended up working again. Back to its former glory. HOWEVER, now I'm noticing some issues with the keyboard/keys. "A" and "S" are both entered if I press one of them individually, and there are some similar problems with the keys around "P" and "Backspace".
Question is, can I disassemble the laptop again and fix this problem somehow or is it a situation where I'll have to replace the keyboard completely?
Any advice?
