I needed a year ago good nb 2D/3D graphics. The choice was Precision M6800 with configuration i7-4900MQ, 32GB of RAM, videocard AMD FirePro M6100, SSD Samsung120GB, display FHD 17 ". Hi, I have just realized I don't seem to have the option to enable TPM in the BIOS, does anyone know why this option is missing ?
My Order summary says "340-AFPJ TPM Not Enabled"
I'd like to enable this, anyone had a similar issue ?

Dell XPS 13 9350 Boot and User Switch Times
Hi all,
My new XPS 13 seems slow to boot and switch users for an SSD machine. I was wondering what your typical times are;
6 seconds to the Dell logo, then another 6 seconds to the Win 10 welcome screen, then about 35 seconds to the desktop. That's about 47 seconds in total.
Perhaps that's acceptable as booting from Sleep is only a couple of seconds.
More worrying is the fact that User Switching can sometimes take 55 seconds at the Welcome screen or only 1 second - seemingly at random.
BIOS is 1.1.7 and I have tried all of the obvious - Fast User Switching, Fast Boot = Minimal, Safe Mode etc and nothing makes any significant difference. It feels like a time out is waiting for something to happen.
Your typical timings and any ideas would be appreciated.

Service tag is correct , also detected by dell software , when trying to contact customer support service tag is incorrect ....
My problem :
I cleared al history from browser and everything , can't contact customer service , because service tag is corectly detected but then it isn't ....

Dell Inspiron 1100 wont boot
I have a dell inspiron 1100 laptop, its a 2003-2005 model i believe, someone gave it to me and said it wont boot. The first thing i did was put a battery in it from a dell 5160 since it fit, and are the same, and i didn't have a charger for it and the fan and hard drive do turn on, but that's it.
I took it all apart and cleaned it, and put on some new thermal paste, blew everything with compressed air, and the hard drive turns on and fan, but it will not boot. The screen will also not come on and i get 1 short beep, 3 normal beeps then one normal beep. I switched out the memory on it and that wasn't the problem, it had pc2100 in it i tried 2700, from the 5160 laptop and did the same thing.
My guess is bad motherboard? Ive even tried hooking it to an external lcd and still no screen. If anyone could lead me in the right direction here id appreciate it, in all the years ive worked on laptops, computers etc. ive never had this problem.

Inspiron 3537 won’t wake-up from sleep with lid closed
Dell 3537, BIOS A08, WIN10 (like many other similar models) won’t wake-up from sleep with lid closed!
I tried everything possible…
It is OK if I go to sleep with the lid open, not OK if I go to sleep with lid closed.
I don’t have this problem with a newer Dell 7537; unfortunately 3537 is out of warranty.
Dell support suggests spending more money in support for something they should fix from start!
This is a BIOS problem, last version A08 from 2014 is not fixing this issue...
Dell please fix this annoying problem, Iwill not buy Dell anymore, unless they decide to fix this bug!

USB Mouse misbehaves with M4700 A14 Bios
I am having a weird issue with my Dell Precision M4700 laptop that was not happening prior to updating my bios to A14. When I am in the Bios setup screens, my USB mouse is not controllable. That is, the mouse will move (mostly up and down) but it is not controllable to the point where it is simply not possible to move the mouse over a button, item in a list, etc.
The USB mouse is plugged directly into my Dell docking station and generally works fine in Windows. I am looking to see if there is something that can be done to resolve this problem when using it in the Bios Screen.

Laptop Charging Time Inaccurate
Since I got my laptop back from Best Buy the laptop charging time shows at 1 minute or 2 minute no matter what. I tried resetting my PC and it still showing as 1 or 2 minute.
Sometimes it's blank too.

XPS13 (9343) WiFi and Bluetooth problems after Windows 10 upgrade
I recently upgraded from Windows 8.1 to 10 with my XPS 13 (9343) laptop. Before the upgrade, I had no problem with any of the following devices with Windows 8.1. After the upgrade, I started experiencing the following issues:
1) Wifi: After restart or waking from sleep, I had to reconnect to my home network.Automatic reconnection was enabled and network adaptor's power management was modified but reconnection did not work well.
2) I had serious problems with my Bluetooth, especially with BT headphones. Once paired, it seemed to be working. However, after disconnecting and reconnecting, the headphones got connected but I did not hear any sound. Later, the headphones did not get connected but kept going to pairing mode but the Bluetooth setting showed that they are already paired. I am using a Bluetooth mouse. Interestingly, if I turn off the Bluetooth (from setting) and turn it on again, my Bluetooth mouse never get connected again.
Temporary solution: I installed network driver (9343_Network_Driver_74HW9_WN32_6.30.223.262.A01.exe) for Windows 8.1. This solved my wifi problem. I had reconnection all the time.
Regarding the Bluetooth mouse, it works as well.
Regarding the Bluetooth headphones, they worked for a while but I suddenly lost sound. Settings window showed that my headphone is still connected and audio playback device still showed that my Bluetooth headphone is active. I simply lost sound. The only way to temporarily fix this problem was to restart the system.
I tried several network adapter drivers (version A00, A01) but they did not make any differences. When I installed A02 version, I had the same problems that I had after Windows 10 upgrade.
I am wondering if there are anyone who experiences similar issues. Any comments on potential solutions will be greatly appreciated.

Fast Gaming Computer Reduced to Low Speeds
Hello there!
Around 8 months ago I replaced the hard drive on my Alienware M11x r3 and quadrupled the RAM from 4-16. At that point, it was the fastest the computer had ever run. However, in the last 3 months it has experienced a severe drop in performance. Games that used to run 260-320 fps now only run 10-35. I checked that all my drivers are up to date, installed all computer updates, defragmented my hard drive, and checked for viruses with ESET antivirus. Even booting up video games and applications like Google Chrome can slow my computer severely.
Any help is greatly appreciated!!!

I have a dell xps 15 L502x , the laptop doesn't turn on at times . The laptop turns on if I leave it for few hours and then connect it to a power source .also the White led at the back doesn't work when the laptop doesn't turn on and blue light in the charger is working.

Dell XPS 15 9550 Battery Issue?
Hi all,
I got my laptop a little over a month ago and for the most part I am very pleased with it. I just noticed today that the battery meter would go from 100% while being plugged in, to 96% immediately after unplugging it. If I tried plugging the adapter back in I would either get a notification stating that it is plugged in but not charging while remaining at 96% or it would immediately go back to 100% fully charged. Any ideas on how to fix this? On other laptops I've owned, I could remove the battery and reseat it and that would usually take care of the issue. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Dell inspiron N5010 doesn't Boot up.
6 months ago the laptop crashed with blue screen and 8 beeps when I swiched on power button. Then I got it repaired from local shop. They said they have done BGA reballing. And after that the computer crashed again with same problem now. After that, I have opened the laptop and cleaned parts. But when I turn the laptop on, it just shows light indicators on the power button and I can hear fan. The screen does not start and even doesn't give 8 beeps. When I press Fn keey and power button together, it gives 7 beeps. Please help.

Increasing internal HDD capacity for Inspiron 17–5758
Hi
Recently purchased Inspiron 17–5758 with internal 1TB HDD and internal DVD. Speed of internal HDD is diabolical and am looking to change this to the following configuration:
Primary Internal HDD Bay: 500GB SSD
Secondary Internal HDD Bay: Existing 1TB HDD
I've done a little research which suggests it is possible to replace the internal DVD with an HDD, so my main questions are:
1. Is this possible?
2. What additional kit do I need to get (other than SSD/HDD) to replace the DVD with an HDD e.g. bezel to cover HDD "hole", HDD bracket?, HDD caddy ? And where can I get this (Dell?) ?
3. What are my choices for 500GB SSD - presumably 2.5" drive with SATA interface ? Any more requirements?

sleep mode, dell latitude E5550
I'm having a problem with sleep mode (dell latitude E5550, 8GB RAM, i7-5600U, 500 GB Solid State Hybrid Drive with 8GB Flash, Intel HD Graphics, Windows 8.1 Pro).
Manual sleep works 1 time and the second time will freeze the laptop.
Manually sleeping freezes the laptop even if the laptop is running on a battery.
Looking for any suggestions here.

Frequent recurrence of laptop static flea power problem
My Inspiron 5447 has been spontaneously powering down repeatedly over the last couple weeks. After doing some research, I discovered that the static flea power solution works, but only for a short time -- usually several hours. It's gotten so bad that I removed the battery and am running strictly on AC power just to save time.
This is the same problem as described here and I've already run the PSA hardware diagnostics, receiving no error messages. As well, I've cleaned the fan with compressed air, but the problem keeps recurring. What should be my next step?

Dell 1545 Vista - Dell Wireless Utility error message, fix required.
Re-install of Vista home premium. inc SP2. inc dell drivers. Bios A14. Wireless card 1397 with dell driver. Always when I start the dell wireless config utility I get the message 'Internal configuration inconsistent, restart'. I've googled, started the zero config process, reloaded the driver and logged in and out and restarted but it doesn't fix it. I know its an old machine and an old chestnut topic, but would be grateful for a permanent fix. The wireless utility did work okay on the original installation, that was with bios A08.

XPS 13 Battery Issue
Purchased an XPS 13 Touchscreen, i7, 16 RAM w/512 PCIE drive yesterday.
Got unit home and as instructed ran windows update until complete and restarted. Played around surfing the web all good.
Left unit charge to 100%. I unplugged the unit at 100% around 11PM last night. It was left closed and when I awoke 9:30AM battery is at 5%. The light on the bottom of the keyboard was amber instead of white in the AM. Not sure what that means.
it was in sleep or hibernate mode and should not have burned through the whole battery
any ideas? Unit is set to all as received factory settings
