Dell inspiron wifi problem

Hi,

I've this lap, Inspiron 15R 5520, for 3 years now. I've a problem with my wifi for 2.5 years. This problem is getting bigger from time to time.

I hope I could fix it.

First, when the problem started, when I just remove the lap from a place to another, the connection become limited, and all other wifi options won't appear, when I disconncect from current network it disappears.

The only solution is to troublshoot so that they disable the wifi adaptor and it won't enable... I then restart the lap, and enable it and works.

After that when I disable the wifi myself, I may need to restart the computer several time before it works again. The wifi doesn't appear under bluetooth in connections.

After that "now", I need to put the charger, don't know why either, sometimes the wifi adaptor disables and in the troubleshoot it says there is a problem in the hardware or drivers. I try to disable the adaptor from the device manager, but nothing happens.

Also, it sometimes says your dns server might be unavailable.

This problem is the main problem that makes me want to change the lap, if I could solve it, I'll upgrade the lap.

Hope you can tell me whether the problem is hardware or software.

Hi,

I am facing problems in my vostro 1015 laptop.

Uable to find the network adapter on device manager, when i try to install the network adapter controller in system, then i am getting pop up msg of "Network Adapter Not found and if system is deep sleep mode is enable, please plug in the cable"

i read many forun.. it related but not work..

That problems i face in recent only..

Can you please provide me details about ethernet controller

Why this issues facing ?

How to solved?

My lan is how showing in linux, windows etc

Help me if anyone no this ans..:)

Hello,

DELL

I bought a dell inspiron 15 7548 (Service Tag:<ADMIN NOTE: Service tag removed per privacy policy>
 , Express Service Code:<ADMIN NOTE: Express service code removed per privacy policy>
 ) from Smart Technology Bangladesh 10 days ago .


Right after buy I am facing various problems such as:

  • HDD 100% usage
  • Unusual sound
  • Excessive heating
  • Hang/lagging
  • Slow booting
  • Too much time to take fresh OS install over and over.


Firstly,

I thought  its OS problem but after completely fresh reinstalled the OS(several times with different versions like pro, ultimate, enterprise ), switched to win 8 and 8.1 or 10 .

Got the latest Bios update,
Got the latest drivers from DELL then downloaded them from official website.



Please,

Whoever reads this post and decides to advise with some solution like

  • Disabling Super Fetch ,
  • Background Intelligent Transfer Service ,
  • Search indexing for windows,
  • Virtual memory increase
  • Sfc scan
  • Drive diagnostics (dell epsa)

  • Page-file size changes/ Disabling,

  • Editing the startup services/apps,
  • Defrag/cleanup and so on and so on...

You can spear that time for you cause the list of the things Ive done to solve this issue but it did not worked.

As it’s a brand new product I assume this is hardware problem and expecting your attention on it. I don’t have any other backup so I hope you will replace my product as its eligible for warranty.

NOTE: Today I talked to Smart Technology representative and they told me it will go for claim, as soon as dell approve it I will get that. that's why I am posting this issue as you process it earlier by considering my condition.

Dell Inspiron15 - Continous loop while booting

While I try to start to my laptop(Inspiron), it is going in a loop ie the dell image comes with the loading bar and after a few moments the image again come with loading bar and this continues forever. Can anybody help on this??

Hi support Dell , I use a laptop dell E6420 Today I met two problems related to my laptop: 1/ Firmware Camera The first is that I have to upgrade the firmware version of the camera wrong dell e6420 camera should now inactive. Can you give me the camera firmware does not apply? 2 / I have problems with UEFI BIOS. When I used to install Windows 8 UEFI or Windows 10, I met the case is boot into the operating system, then freezes and must shutdown and restart, I checked BIOS versions but does not work, I think UEFI Dell E6420 is a bug, so I ask you to check (current BIOS dell I'm using is E6420A22.exe) My english problems poor expect sympathy My Service Tag : <ADMIN NOTE: Service tag removed per privacy policy>

Dell XPS 13 L322X Boot from USB

Hi, I am trying to boot from a USB containing Windows 8.1 as my XPS will not complete the upgrade from the Windows Store. It freezes at 88% and stops,

I logged a call with Microsoft and the only thin they can recommend is to boot 8.1 from a USB and install it that way.

I have been through the BIOS settings, and tried to add the USB to the boot options, the problem being it does not recognise that there is a USB connected. I tried a second USB stick and I still get the same issue.

I have already updated all the Dell drivers, and to be honest I am now lost....

Surely upgrading from 8.0 to 8.1 should not be so hard. Reading over the forum it seems I might have the same issue with upgrading to Windows 10.

Would anyone have any ideas, even if it is an alternative to using USB I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks for the help.

hello,

I have Inspiron 15 N5050 with Win7 and this is the recommended software for my model. I've installed everything else ok. when im trying to run Seagate Momentus 2.5",SATA,3Gb/s,7200,512e Firmware Update, it starts running ok, then I get the black screen with two columns of numbers on it and then it freezes.

according to dell installation instructions  'If the firmware flash utility fails to update, please use the legacy mode instead of the BIOS default SATA configuration. I tried to access the Boot menu (F2 - Setup -Boot). this option is not there  so I cant change to legacy? (perhaps my laptop does not UEFI  but MBR BIOS?).

any ideas? do you think this update is really needed?

the other firmware update, Seagate Momentus Thin 2.5",SATA,3Gb/s,7200,512e Firmware Update, installed ok.

im trying to change the function keys so that f1-12 are the main use and the multimedia keys are on fn. Cant enter bios on restart of laptop just goes straight to login screen, 


Dell 3542 bluetooth not working or shown in device manager

My laptop dell 3542 started troubling me 2 weeks ago. The bluetooth device stopped working and was not showing in device manager although it was seen in hidden devices. i reinstalled the appropriate driver from dell site but its still not working or shown 

Dell Inspiron 3521 Laptop won't turn on

Hi

I can not turn on Dell Inspiron 3521 Laptop by pressing power button. No any sound comes. Just power led turn on and if AC adapter is connected battery light also on, nothing happened on the screen. I disconnected AC adapter, removed battery and pressed power btn around one minute. Then insert battery and connected AC adapter and then press power btn but no progress and same thing happen. I removed battery again (to off the power light [pressing power button for long time also no progress to power off]) and then off power led and kept laptop in the bag (at night). In the next day night (around after 12 hours) I just press the power button then suddenly turn on the laptop (normal way). Then I can work very nicely no at least small problem. I restarted laptop and try several times Restart also works fine. Then I shut down the laptop. But after shutdown I cannot turn on. Above problem happened. As this way (keeping laptop for 12 hours and then press power button) I could turn on laptop 3 times. I'm pretty sure I can turn on it next night. Please guide me how to solve this problem.

Hello,

I have a Dell Inspiron 5520 , purchased a year or two back. I am having certain problems with it now.

The laptop came with a pre-installed win 8 which I bought from the local recognised shop. Vijay Sales.

They had told me to make recovery disks for it asap. 

- I tried restoring using a recovery disk but to no prevail the error still persists.

-So, I ran a ePSA diagnostics. It gave some HDD error too.

- Also when I turn the laptop on some error & then it says to ask for installation media to the admin system or dell support.

----

Can I get the installation media disks for my single language build? If so I'll share my address & service tag, etc as needed.

What's the error about? Can it be fixed?

Inspiron 7347 Keyboard suddenly stops working?

Hello! Good day! I am currently using a 10 month old Dell Inspiron 13 7347 model running on an upgraded Windows 10 from Windows 8.1. I bought the product brand new. I have always associated Dell with quality products and I was so sure in buying one over the Apple MacBook but right now I am not so sure anymore. I am so disheartened and so disappointed because my keyboard suddenly and randomly stops working coming from sleep (when the lid is closed) or from a total power shut down. The back light remains alit but all they keys do not function. The trackpad, however, works fine. I have to restart my laptop to have the keyboard working again. Sometimes, even after a restart, it still doesn't work, and again I have to perform a restart. I cannot tell you how frustrating and infuriating this has become, not to mention embarrassing for a barely year old brand new device from a known manufacturer. I have not experienced this while I was running on Windows 8.1. and I think it may be a bug or a software issue. I have ran all the necessary online tests and troubleshooting that came on this device and my searches on both the Microsoft site and the Dell site have proven to be futile. I have also brought my device to the authorized service center to which I was only told to downgrade back to Windows 8.1 as Windows 10 is apparently riddled with bugs. I do not want to go back to Windows 8.1 anymore. My device is updated with all necessary drivers and Windows updates. Has anyone else experienced this? My heart and mind are troubled everytime I use my device as I am no longer certain that the device I have is a reliable one. I cannot depend on it anymore for my everyday tasks. I strongly believe that this is a mere software issue you brilliant engineers from Dell can work through and can address ASAP. Please I am desperate for a solution for this problem. I need your help because really, I am desperate! Thank you so much and I am hoping for a positive reply!

Hello! Good day! I am currently using a 10 month old Dell Inspiron 13 7347 model running on an upgraded Windows 10 from Windows 8.1. I bought the product brand new. I have always associated Dell with quality products and I was so sure in buying one over the Apple MacBook but right now I am not so sure anymore. I am so disheartened and so disappointed because everytime I print on our HP Deskjet Ink Advantage 2060 All in One Device, the print job doesn't finish and cuts at half or even sometimes less than half the printing and spits out the rest of the paper with a notification on my desktop telling me that the device could not connect to the printer. I have tried this so many times that I just have to borrow my brother or sisters laptop to have it print correctly. Both my siblings are running Windows10 on their respective laptops as well and they have no problems printing documents at all. So I am sure that the printer isn't the one to blame. I also noticed this came out after upgrading to Windows 10. I have searched all of the internet for drivers, solutions, or similar cases to which it yielded negative results. I have also tried running the Printer Troubleshooter from the Microsoft website and at one time it said that the problem had been fixed to which I was beyond joyous to know only to have my happiness dumped and cut short when I printed a document having the same unfinished result.

My device is updated with all necessary drivers and Windows updates. inspiron 15r q's and help needed

I have a 3 yr old inspiron 15r 5520 with a 0142 code after running a pre boot diagnostic. Says i need a new hard drive. When i go tp purchase a new hard drive what else would be necessary to complete the installation. I plan on buying it from dell. Also aftr getting the hard drive installed how do I get the computer up and running? Thx

Ultra-sensitive key on a keyboard

"Zero" (0) key on my new Dell XPS 13 laptop is ultra-sensitive - it takes a slight touch to type a symbol, I don't actually need to press it. Other keys on the keyboard doesn't have this feature

Major issue is that when I actually press zero key it types it twice, i.e. duplicates it.

Is that a hardware issue?

After the update to W10, the driver of the Kionix KXCNL Freefall Sensor fails to load. I have driver version 1.1.2.8 from date 9-10-2014. The error in dutch:

In reliability history I have a warning saying that Dell Customer Connect application installation was unsuccessful this morning?

What is it and will it attempt to install again later or is it something I have to install manually. I cant find any information anywhere about this application

Hi, My Dell Vostro laptop 2520 which came with Windows 8 loaded and then got upgraded to Windows 10 automatically a month back suddenly stopped working today morning.

It just keeps giving beep sounds when i press power button and a blank screen appears. Please provide me some quick resolution for the same.

Turbo Boost doesn't work and max CPU has been lowered after upgrade to windows 10

When I was using Windows 8.1 I had a maximum speed of 2.6 GHz and a Turbo Boost upto 3 GHz.

After upgrading my OS to windows 10 the maximum CPU is shown as 2.4 Ghz and no Turbo Boost.

I have to install linux. I am currently using win10. There are lots of partition showing. So anyone can tell which partition is specific for dell recovery because I dont wanna mess up things like i want to have a backup plan. So these are partitions:
