I just got my new XPS 13 9343 out of the box, proceeded to run the Windows update, and the system started to fail.

First, it started freezing and a lot thin stripes from different colours filled the screen, after that it rebooted by itself showing blue screen messages such as:

SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDED

or

DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL

I ran a systme diagnostics (after pressing F12 on reboot) and found no problems, all hardware is perfect, so it seems to be a software issue.

Finaly it just shows a blue screen

You'll need to use the recovery tolos on your installation media. If you don't have any instalation media (like a disc or USB devide), contact your system administrator o PC manufacter.

Pres Enter to try again

Pres F8 for Starup Settings

Press Esc for UEFI Firmware Settings

Any solution??  I could even enjoy this laptop!!

 I just purchases a dell inspiron  3437 laptop  about 7 months ago. Nowdays, There is problem  occur in touchapad of my laptop. During charging my laptop  touchpad unbalance automatically. After unplug charger it runs normally...so what to do , is this hardware problem or other problem ?? /*i also update my dell touchpad driver but problem not solved */

I purchase a new dell laptop about 7 months ago. Nowadays there is problem in my laptop. My laptop touchpad is automatically unbalance during charging . After unplug the charger it runs normally. I also update my touchpad driver but problem doesn't solved. So what to do to solve my problem? Is this great problem? Is it hardware  problem?

Hi,

I have a problem  in that the touchpad on my n5010 is very jerky most of the time.  This only started a few months ago.  I don't know if it is related by sometimes when I'm typing the cursor will jump to another part of the field or document that I am typing in. Does anyone know how to fix this?

I have upgraded to windows 10 on my Inspiron 15R SE 7520

I now have no audio, checked the sound driver conexant - driver 8.54.40.0 is most recent.

Can anyone give some advice.

Hello,

I have Win 10 x64, Alienware 15 2015 model. 

I have a few issues which makes me nuts, as I spent a few days trying to figure out those myself already

1. Bluetooth is not working. 

I've tried to update bluetooth driver and deleted one from devices. Now I cannot make my bluetooth work, i've downloaded latest driver here :  Communications_Driver_1KG88_WN32_17.1.1525.1443_A00.EXE .

But I still cannot see bluetooth in my devices. And cannot connect my keybord and mouse.

2. USB's are not working properly. I have a Logitech g700s mouse. I can connect it via bluetooth dongle ( which is not working ) or USB cable ( which always worked on any laptops without any drivers. But I have latest Logitech drivers anyway. So connecting via USB also doesnt work. I also cannot make my notebook to see my phone when i connect it via USB 

3. AW command center - when launching it, i receive an error ( The device you have selected is included in the current theme but AlienFX cannot detect this device on your system.  Do you want to remove this device from the current theme?) and I cannot modify my lightning anymore.

This all makes me really frustrating as I received my laptop a week ago, spent a dew days trying to make everything work  and still cannot enjoy it.

I'm the owner of a XPS13 (9333) and I've recently installed Winows10. I'm experiencing and annoying issue.

Sometimes it seems that the keyboard is not responding anymore, either I'm using the built-in keyboard or an external keyboard no any input is displayed in text editor only the standard windows tone comes from the speaker (i.e. like I'm doing something of wrong). External mouse or trackpad are still responsive, although if I double click on a desktop icon, like to open a document, what I get is the window showing documents properties. Moreover also the scroll gesture of the trackpad is not functional in these circumstances.

How to fix? Logout and login or sometimes I have to shutdown and restart.

Is there anyone experiencing this problem? Dell or Windows10 issue?

Good day, I have an Inspiron 15R SE7520 which Dell states is compatible with Windows 10. When attempting to upgrade to Win10, the upgrade fails with the message "We couldn't upgrade the system reserved partition". All of my searches do not reveal a clear procedure to resolve this issue. Is there a Dell supported procedure to fix this problem?

I keep having unexpected shutdowns with this error message:

My computer is less than 2 years old. I cant seem to get customer service to help me with any of this. What should I do in this situation?

Model: Dell Inspiron N5110, Upgraded to Windows 10.

Battery charge status always shows 1% of capacity, CHARGING. But stays 1%.

I tried to reattach battery, clean contacts, clearly reinstall Windows. Removing AC power results shutting down instantly. Without AC power plugged in - does'nt turning on.

3 days ago battery works fine for about 1.5-2 hours.

Please help me as fast as you can.

My inspiron 3520 motherboard is kaput. If I buy a used inspiron 3520 can I swap out the hard drive with my old hard drive and essentially have the same computer I had before the motherboard went?

It has been five months since I bought a XPS 15 (4k screen, 16GB ram, i7 4712HQ...). Well, the problems started from the beginning, coil whine (something that, later I'll realise that is present in every XPS 15 model) They offered me a refund or a change, I took the change, and they sent me another model "with no errors" they said. Well, as I say, the coil whine was still there. I called Dell again, two motherboard changes and the problems doesn't go away. But now, ta-dah!, another problem, my laptop won't back from sleep, I have to push like 50 times the button to bring back the system.

They don't want to give me a refund. Probably they just send another technician and change the motherboard again, and my problems will persist

New and older drivers from Dell's page with W10. Same results.

I have 3 buttons on my Dell Inspiron 17R SE 7720 that are set above the numeric pad that are not working.  I had to reformat my hard drive and now I can't get these buttons to work.  I'm sure it's just a software install, but not sure what it's called.  The first button looks like 2 gears, this is  like a status control center where there are about 10 programs that run through it, the second button looks like a big W and the third button is a shortcut button with a star inside of a box.

If anybody can help, please let me know.  -Thanks

I too have the continuous beeping problem, a few seconds apart. but not a set number of beeps they just go on.

If I hold the power button down and disconnect the power it usually restarts, sometimes I have t o have a couple of goes. (  I have taken the battery out etc.)

It seem to be more of a problem when I shut down rather than sleep the laptop.

I am working my way through any maintenance, no problems have been flagged, the battery seems ok.

I would be grateful for any advice, as I an concerned th is symptomatic of something worse about to happen.

Please note I am not an IT person, just an average user, I may not cope if the response is too technical

Hello,

I have recently bought a new spare Dell power adapter LA90PM130.

I have noticed a strange behaviour when I started using it. When it is not plugged into the laptop the white led indicator on the power cable goes from bright to dim regularly within a few second in a continuous pattern. When I plug it into the laptop it stays solid.

I am a bit concerned whether it is normal with this model since I had a power adapter with blue led light and it always stayed solid blue.

Can anyone with a similar adapter shed some light, please?

I am having a lot of issues with my wireless card now, I'm getting issues where the card completely drops off the device manager list, connection drops, and now random BSOD's with "driver power state failure"

I want to replace the card, but I see a lot of people have issue with the killer 2102 card that comes with this laptop. Is there a list of wireless adapters that are compatible with the BIOS whitelist? And any of those that wont cause me to lose Bluetooth?

After Windows 10 64-bit install my keyboard backlight doesn't work anymore on my Dell Precision M6800.  How do I get the backlight to work?  (Some forum posts for other laptops suggest installing Dell ControlPoint, but I don't see this listed in the M6800 driver download page).
