I've got some ACPI problem with my notebook (BNB4312) - under the win 7x64, when it was working only with the battery, he was constantly freezing - no matter at game or in windows..
After installing windows 8.1 x64 this problem was solved, i haven't seen any problems so far...but
USB 3.0 device did not working! it just working in usb 2.0 mode, and didn't even display in the device manager as a device!
Here's the screen. Maybe someone have seen such problem?
Okay, so recently my battery has been behaving quite weird. First I noticed that it stopped charging around 84%, now it has stopped charging at 67% and it is telling me that my battery has experienced permanent failure and should be replaced. I'm not sure if it is relevant but I have very recently installed windows updates, around the time where my battery started being weird. Not exactly sure which updates, I simply went to the windows update page and checked for updates and updated the computer. Please help me, I would like to try and fix this without having to buy a new battery. The computer model is a Dell Inspiron 15r (model 5521). Thank you.
I was wondering if there any new news to this touch screen issues.(IE)Is dell upgrading the computer to a newer model.Has Replacement screen been the fix. I just got it and I do see the ghosting issues its not much but its there.I have fully updated this bad boy with all the driver and Bios. I was think of going to get the 7348 I haven't heard of any issues with that ghosting. I did get it for the price but upgrading to the 7348 cost a little bit more than I like. I just wanna know is it worth it.
Hello my computer has an i7 processor that is quad core , 3.4 ghz, NVidia Geforce 2 gb not sure if 650 or 750 and it has been acting strange and whenever it has been turned on it makes loud whirring noise possibly the fan and it shuts down in around 10 minutes while gaming.Kaspersky Virus scan did not show any problems. The Dell hardware scan also did not show any problem. What should I do now?
I am a final year B tech student .I am using Dell inspiron OXPCG3 since 2012.Now I got a problem with booting.From service centre I got the information that there is some problem with motherboard and it should be replaced and it cost almost 15000 rupees .I don't know what shall I do because I am busy with my project works and I need a laptop .But I wonder whether a motherboard of a costly laptop lasts only for 3 years and I need to spend another 15000 rupees for this laptop.Plz send me a solution for this.
Hi. The SSD in my venue 11 pro 7130 died and I replaced it with a transcend ssd. Since the recovery partitions on the old SSD were not accessible, dell sent me a USB stick that allowed me to reload windows 8.1. However, the USB recovery media did not have drivers native to the 7130. After windows was up and running, I updated every driver I could find from the dell website. However, something (a drive presumably) is causing a conflict and creating dpc latency issues on the machine which result in laggy-ness and crackling audio.
I since have upgraded to windows 10 hoping that the driver issue would resolve itself. The issue after upgrading, however, is even worse.
Would anyone with a properly functioning 7130 tablet running windows 10 mind sharing the list of drivers currently installed on their machine? I used the utility below and my drivers are in the dropbox link just below that.

Finally, here is a link to a sysnative thread I've had on this topic that includes xperf traces and the like. Basically, I'm stumped as to what is causing the conflict on this machine. It's almost unusable.

Always had a problem with my laptop since buying it of the video tdr failure blue screen, sometimes been able to get around it with driver updates or other work around but it would always eventually crop up again.
The problem I have now us that I had to do a factory setting restore back to windows 8, cleaned the system fine but now I can't install windows as it can't get past the error blue screen. Obviously can't install drivers as the only way I know how is when windows is actually installed and the only way laptop will boot is in safe mode and windows won't install in safe mode.
Any help?

Hey guys so I got a new Dell laptop, and the touchpad has really been bothering me. The left and rightclick buttons are part of the touchpad, so anytime i use them to click my cursor moves slightly. Is there a way to change the area which the touchpad detects motion, or perhaps turn off the touchpad detection over the two buttons? Thanks(the mouse and touchpad settings were no help).
I have an Inspiron 15 7558 it has the touch screen, so it can be used as a tablet also. I updated the Windows 8 (which everything ran fine on) to Windows 10 and since then to get my screen to rotate i have to completely restart my computer. I've made sure the rotation lock was off and tried to look stuff up on google, but couldnt find anything. any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

During a few days back, I got notification that my laptop, Dell Vostro 5560 is ready to upgrade to Windows 10 and I upgraded it. Just two days after upgrade, I cannot write DVDs with my DVD burner, HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GUA0N. I already tried both Windows built-in writer and Nero burning software. However, I can read DVD, read CD. I have not tested whether I can write CD or not. But one thing I know is that I can't write DVDs anymore.
Do I need to upgrade my firmware for DVD drive? I already downloaded and installed the updated drivers and BIOS for my laptop which are compatible with Windows 10.
Hello, this is my first post so let's hope everything is up to the norm. My friend recently purchased an Inspiron 17R SE which had been about 3 years old and had been reset previously before purchase of course so all the drivers and what not had been reset. So, my friend turned to me for a antivirus software and I had shown them Avast Free Antivirus, since it has worked quite well for me. Anyways, they had downloaded the software and shut off the laptop and returned the next day to find it displaying a blue screen and error code 0xc0000001 and the inability to go into the recovery mode or safe mode by pressing shift+F8 while booting. I have no idea how to help my friend and am turning to here for answers. I do not know if and how I should go about resetting his laptop due to me utilizing a toshiba on windows 7, or if thats even needed at all. Please aid me! It would be much appreciated =]!

So I upgraded my XPS 12 to WIndows 10 when the RTM version came out. Upgrade went well, no issues whatsoever. I checked Dell website and saw some updated drivers for Windows 10, touchpad, GPU, sound, Wifi and BT. I though even if my ported drivers worked fine, i guess updating them will not hurt.
Well since then, when my screen turns off after 10 minutes of inactivity, my keyboard backlight stays on all the time. I don't set my computer to sleep, I just set it so it turn off screen. Before W10, the backlight would turn off after 1 minute of not touching the keyboard or touchpad but since I updated the drivers, it will stay on indefinitely.
Any suggestions?

After installing windows updates to my PC something strange happend. It was not possible to open start menu, edge browser seemed to be missing etc.
Since I just upgraded my operating system to windows 10 I decided to reset it to factory settings and then install everything back.
System reset was passe without any errors (100%), but when booting device there was an error ... inaccessible boot device
So I tried to use my recovery USB stick to start pc, but then I get an error ... 0x4001100200001005 contact dell support
F12 diagnostics cant find any errors, also dell backup and recovery cant find any errors, but when dell backup and recovery starts repairing pc, error code above appears and process is cancelled.
Any idea what is wrong and how to solve that problem??

Hi i'm using Dell Vostro 5460 laptop and i found out that my E,Q, Caps Lock, and Tab button doesn't work. All the other keys are fine except these. First it was only the E button but suddenly it was like spreading disease that infecting other keys. I'm afraid other keys also got infected in the future. I've been using my laptop for 3 years now so warranty already expired. Do i have to replace the keyboard? or any other solution?. Please help..
