Latitude E7450 Touchpad issue
Hi
While using the laptop in office, every line or so that I type, my thumbs touch the touchpad and disorient the cursor, and I end up typing on the wrong line. I want to either:
1. Disable the touchpad automatically whenever the system detects an external pointing device like a mouse ,Or
2. Disable the touchpad entirely (Enable it when required)
Unfortunately this particular laptop doesn't seem to have a touchpad disable button. How do I accomplish one of the above?

Plug in not Charging (Battery meter is showing "Battery Charging Disabled"
I have Dell Inspiron 3521, Suddenly My Laptop stop Charging.
I also checked in Battery Meter it showing Battery Charging Disabled.
2 days before I have upgraded to windows 10.
As of now all my drivers are up to date.
I have also checked my AC Adapter and Battery its functioning normally.
In BIOS it showing 90w, Battery Performing Normally.
I have also done restore defaults in BIOS setting by Pressing F9.
Please help me, I don't why it's happening suddenly. My Battery Health is absolutely Normal.

My problems started about a week ago. One morning i woke up and turned my laptop on but the screen was black i it didnt show anything but it was working hard drives was spinning fans too. Then i attached another display through dvi port and it works, but shows blue deatch screen with video card driver error, at the moment i thought that my video card is going down, but no, i reinstalled drivers and it worked fine for few days, then the same happend again, and the fix worked again, but the third time was different, laptop screen doesnt show anything so i rebooted laptop about 10-15 times ant it shows again but it goes in automatic repair loop, then i used chdsk/r command and it shoed some errors and when it tryed to fix it it said that it cannot relocat bad sectors because there is not enought memory or space; something like that. Then i ran build in dell diagnostic and it show hard drive error 2000-0142 and few tests later 2000-0146, it means that my hdd is failing, but the main question is it only the hdd, why my laptop screen is black sometimes and i have to reboot it several times to get it showing something, will it help my just replacing hdd , because i dont want to buy new hdd if my motherboard or video card is dead.
P.S. During chdsk /r scan my hdd made some strange noises and the test didnt finished, it said ann error ocured during scan because something cannot be read. Plase help me with this headacke.

Windows 10 touchpad gestures no longer working as expected (XPS 13 9333)
Hi everyone,
So on August 2nd I updated my Dell XPS 13 (9333) to Windows 10 Pro, and despite a few glitches from the OS, everything worked as expected, especifically the 3-finger swipe up to show Task View and down to show the Desktop, as well as (finally) being able to scroll windows out of focus just by hovering over by enabling the option in Settings.
However, yesterday I realized that is no longer the case. The 3-finger swipe brings up Cortana/Search and down opens up the Settings app. Moreover, scrolling w/o focus stopped working too!
I'm running the latest Dell Touchpad driver (v.19.0.15.2) and I have Multi-Finger gestures enabled in the options. Checking the Windows Update history, besides the Windows Defender updates, I see the following: KB3074678, KB3074686, and a Failed Synaptics Update for Dell Touchpad (around the day it stopped working as it should).
Anyone experiencing a similar problem? Suggestions?

XPS 13 (l322x) doesn't boot past Dell Logo
Hi all,
Looking for some ideas before I send this in for servicing...
My XPS 13 won't boot past the dell logo. I can hit F2 or F12 at the prompt and the option is highlighted (so I know my keyboard is working) but it doesn't enter the bios or boot menu - it just sits there. I can't access the ePSA diagnostics either (I think on this model it is hold Fn at power on?).
I've tried booting off a USB stick to ubuntu "live" or similarly with the Windows 7 installer on USB but I don't get any further.
The laptop was working fine until I rebooted it yesterday.
It looks like a hardware failure but I'd expect some kind of error message during POST if it was the SSD or memory, so I suspect it might be the system board.

Dell Login screen for windows login
When I login to windows on my Lattitude e6230 It shows the Dell logo and not the normal windows login screen.
I am required to type my user and click enter then type my password and click enter. It shows that I am logging onto the computer name, then user. Its hard to explain.
It will show LUKE\
which is the computer system name
then I have to type in luke's which is my user account name, then it will show
LUKE\luke's and ask for a password to login.
Is there a way I can skip all this and have the normal windows login buttons for different users with their icons?

Windows 10 Microsoft account login
I am having real issues accessing my main user account in windows 10.
I must have changed the user type to a Microsoft account rather than a local user, as it shows my email address under the user in control panel. (I can see this when logged into another local user account that I can access)
Now when I try to login to my main user the password no longer works, nor does my Microsoft account password.
On my dell latitiude e6230 when I log into windows it seems to have a special dell login because I need to manually type my user account name to login to the user, then enter the password. So here I have tried typing my email address then password, user name then password, and just about every combination I can imagine!
It used to work as LUKE\luke's (system name and then user name) then I entered my password. now it still shows this if I enter luke's as the user, but no passwords work.
Is there some special way I have to login to a Microsoft account within windows 10?

Latitude E6530 display and other issues
Hi,
Having a strange issue where the laptop is not outputting to the internal display, I originally thought that it was freezing whilst asleep, now I figure it was just not displaying back to the internal display.
These were the issues three...
It would not display anything during post, from black screen to windows logo.
randomly after sleeping it would not turn the display back on.
Now it has become more serious, laptop will not output to display at any point.
I plugged in an external monitor via vga, it shows dell logo and displays prompt, I can get into bios and diagnostics i ran the diagnostic and it showed a cable error... then i found the false positive cable message thread on this forum.
I found a way to force it to display to the laptop display, if i go into the bios or the diagnostics on the external display then press Fn+F8 (The display selector) it will switch to the correct display.
Further, there is no OS installed, I have reseated the display cable at both ends.
Also since the major issue came into being, there is a really weird issue, i tried to reinstall windows earlier, i found that i could not click... i can move the mouse around and try to select language as english... time currency format, keyboard input but i could not select anything, both on the touchpad and 3 verified working wired mouse. I then realized the window did not have focus for some reason, so i pressed alt+tab and the window had focus and i could click everything again... I installed windows and the exact same thing kept happening, i would click windows but they would not gain focus, it would bring them to the front of other windows but i could not select any element on them, until i alt+tab to that window, then i could click in them...
Has anyone got any ideas... today has been a bad computer day I ended up reinstalling on my E6520 and that's what i'm typing this on.

Hi everyone
I have dell inspiron N5010 model and it has a motherboard which has a graphoc card preinstalled in it of nvidia company. Now that graphic card has been damaged due to internal heating from the machinery and the laptop doesnt function properly.So i needed to ask how can i purchase a new motherboard with preinstalled graphics card and what is its price?. I also wanted to know how can i prevent the graphic card from geting damaged due to heating?

I purchased a dell laptop through ebay on 30th Jun 2015.

I contacted dell premium support on 2nd Aug 2015 for the technical issue and we went through all the trouble shooting steps,updated Bios version,hardware test,software test and finally factory reset and so far none of the troubleshooting steps worked as per the dell technician suggested by<ADMIN NOTE: Non-public info removed as per TOU>.
Finally after 2 days on 5th Aug 2015 dell technician came for onsite service and dell support had dispatched (Dell dispatch #<ADMIN NOTE: Non-public info removed as per TOU>)it as cable issue and technician performed the replacement but still after the basic troubleshooting steps issue is still persisting.User's business was badly affected due to this.Requesting Escalation team to kindly look into this regard else arrange for a brand new laptop replacement.
Please find attachment screenshot for the issue been discussed with the dell technician so far

Is a True Factory Restoration Possible?
Simple problem. My hard drive is getting full. I presently have minimal software, kill all the temp files, nor do not keep my IE history. I removed a lot of software to free up space...to no avail.
All I want to do is get rid of the baggage. I was told I cannot hard format the users partition on this latitude, but not told why?
The OS is Win7 and I have the license key and an ISO, so if the OS has to go, it isn't a problem because if I can get this thing clean I am going to upgrade to Win10 anyway. I am also OK to rebuild all of MY software and data without a problem. I do not have the original Dell installation discs.
Any help will be appreciated.

Alienware 14 (Mid 2013) Windows 10 Webcam Driver
Has anyone had any luck with Windows 10 on their Alienware 14 and the integrated webcam? It keeps showing up under "Other Devices" in Device Manager and I cannot, for the life of me, find a driver for it?
I have tried removing it and re-detecting it, clicking on the update driver button in Device Manager, but to no avail.
If anyone has any other tips or a link to a good driver, please let me know.
