Laptop is very laggy. How do I fix it?

0

Laptop Type: Alienware M14XR2, Window 7 Ultimate 64, Ram 16GB

I've been lagging really bad since I got it. Like when my browser finished loading I just want to scroll up and down it lag or lag spike. Same with the game I'm playing too. I dont think its the game, even when I exit the game and just continue browse stuff on Chrome and or Firefox by itself, it still lag really bad.

Is there a solution to it? How do I fix it? I just got it on June 20th. Its not even a month old yet. There's 96 different program running at the same time. I'm not sure which thing I can get rid of ( end process).

Dell Inspiron 14z 5323

Hello all,

I have been able to find any info on this and thought to come here and ask.

My Inspiron 5323, from Best Buy runs great. But what should the normal operating temperatures be around.

I have noticed around 55-60 Celsius under a normal load. This doesnt seem worrisome, however, when I playing games (any games) the temperature is atleast 75+. I know this isnt a gaming machine, but it is nice to have it on the road away from my desktop.

Will a sustained temperature of 75-80 Celsius cause any immediate damage? And will it significantly wear down my computer quicker over time?

DELL Inspiron N5010 to TV via HDMI

I am attempting to connect my Inspiron N5010 laptop with Windows 7 to my Curtis 24" LED Widescreen TV via an HDMI port. My laptop has detected the TV but the TV is still displaying a No Signal box. I have tried setting the projector display to extend the desktop, duplicate the desktop, and to just the projector. Any suggestions? And yes the TV input is correct.

[L702X] Orange Blinking Battery

Hello there,

here's my problem: after a BF3 play with battery in and AC adapter plugged in I noticed that battery icon was blinking like 4 times orange then white, which means "temporary battery issue" or something. This thing don't want to go away, even if I tried rebooting, cooling down laptop and battery, plugged out battery then put it back again, drain the battery to 1% and then recharged to the full, even update the BIOS to latest version (A19).

It happens that when I start my laptop without AC adapter I get a two-beep sound with the message that my "battery is temporary disabled and I need to cool it down and try again" and the battery indicator blinks like I said; it stop blinking when charge is below 95% and starts again when it goes over 97% or something like that. Battery Meter said that my battery is working without problems.

Are any chances to get this thing fixed? My laptop is older than 2 years and no longer in warranty.

Thanks in advance.

No hard drive detected

I have been battling the 'blue screen of death' since I purchased this computer last year. Nothing but headaches! I sent the computer into Dell to get fixed but the blue screen appeared shortly after they returned the laptop to me. It popped up AGAIN tonight and I don't understand what could be the problem.

The blue screen said there was a "KERNEL_DATA_INPAGE_ERROR"

There is no new hardware installed on my computer. I haven't even put all my info on here from my backup drive.

During the diagnostics test it said that "No Hard Drive detected"

I need help!

Alienware m14x R2 screen bubble

Hi,

I have received my Alienware a little more than a week ago, and now there is a strange "bubble" in the centre of the screen. I can still see perfectly behind, so the LCD isn't damaged.

See the bubble on the word "Rewards".

How can I get rid of it? Thanks

AMD Radeon 7700M Series not Found for Gaming

To whoever it may concern,

I'm having an issue where the integrated graphics does not kick in the more powerful AMD graphics card when running certain video games. Currently, I'm having an issue with Deus Ex: Human Revolution but I've run into problems with Metro 2033 and Darksiders running slowly, crashing, and causing the BSOD. With Deus Ex, I can get the game to run with DirectX 9 very slowly when it could be using DirectX11 and it crashes sometimes during startup and in loading scenes.

While running Deus Ex setup, the AMD graphics card is not in the drop down menu with the Intel(R) HD Graphics 4000. As of three hours ago ( at 11pm on 7/16/2013), I've updated the drivers of both graphics cards and updated BIOS as shown in the potential solution here:

http://en.community.dell.com/support-forums/laptop/f/3518/p/19477777/20236790.aspx

I've tried uninstalling Deus Ex and deactivating the Intel driver to force the computer to use the AMD one, but upon installation of the game I get the message, "No AMD graphics driver is installed, or the AMD driver is not functioning properly. Please install the AMD driver appropriate for your AMD hardware."

I'm running Windows 7 64-bit on the Dell Inspiron 7520 with integrated AMD Radeon 7700M series and Intel(R) HD Graphics 4000 with an i7 processor, which I know has plenty of issues regarding switchable graphics.

I know my AMD card is installed and enabled, but how to I get gaming applications, and specifically Deus Ex to know that it is there as well?

Sincerely,

Nick

Constant BSOD on Dell E6520 after BIOS update or Driver Update

Hello there to All.

For the last couple of months my Dell Latitude E6520 (W7pro x64) has been going on a BSOD campaign and is really making me mad. The Blue Screen Error is mostly KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED 0x0000001e, and has no apparent pattern of appearance, time wise, program wise or any other way wise.

Additionally this also happened when I connect a second Display, either on the Laptop or on the Docking Station. After the reboot and with the Second Display connected the BSOD does not appear.

I have the suspicion that either after installing the latest BIOS update or after a Windows Update this phenomenon started to happen, but I cannot remember the exact circumstances.

After many hours reading the blogs, forums, wikis and sites, uninstalling and reinstalling drivers and programs, I could not find any concrete solution.

The only solution to make it stop the BSOD was (!!!)

  1. to disable these three options in the Dell’s BIOS Performance section:
  • Intel SpeedStep Technology
  • C-States
  • Intel TurboBoost

Turning any single one on again or any other combination of two of them or all three, the BSOD reappears after a while.

 2. Only connect a second display bon the VGA port, not the DVI or the HDMI

Could anyone comment or help?

Thanks in advance

dell 14r inspiron n4010 not working!

dismantle = solution

I got sick and tired, so I will dissmantle the notebook and install the SSD directly to the internal HDD slot. Sometime this week.
Hope my new SSD doesnt' die and push me to open the whole notebook again.

100% Dell engineers were stoned when they engineered this.

I've called toll free support number and they told me my warranty won't be voided if I don't break anything.

Also, the BIOS is also not so good because it doesn't freakin' support selecting the primary HDD and the secondary.

How to check the USH function of M6600?

Hi,

After changing MB board, I re-start to setup my non-FIPS fingerprint sensor.

But, I have no lock after several removing & installation the firmware & driver.

I found the ushdiag.exe located at the FW  package, and reboot to DOS to do test.

Note: I upgrade to latest FW version and use the ushdiag.exe of the same package.

$ ushdiag -u -stat

Show FP is not present.

#ushdiag -u -dt 3f

Only FP shows failed, and others PASS.

I want to double check the utility is valid for all M6600 configuration before calling support.

Thanks.

Dell Driver Analyze Utility - not working

I've been trying to run the Dell Driver Analyze Utility to check for drivers updates on my recently bought Inspiron 17R SE .

Every time is run the utility first I get :

Initializing the Dell Driver Analyze Utility

Scan Progress Image We are initializing the Dell Driver Analyze Utility... one moment please.
and after a few minutes :
We're sorry
We're sorry, we were unable to analyze your system. Please return to the Drivers HomeReturn to
Tech support gave me useless answer like " there is a temporary system problem, check back in 24 hours"
or even worse :
"why do you want to update the drivers, there is no need for that, if the system is working fine!!!
Anyone with my same problem,
