Need to replace the speakers I believe. They are crackling when sound is present. It doesn't do it all the time so I am not sure if its other on board issues or just the speakers. But for starters where would I get speaker replacements?

Dell Inspiron Mini 10 does not start up - one white and one red flash
Laptop functioned well today. Stopped working on it for a while and when i came back it was turned off.
The laptop was not warm.
It does not start up anymore.
When you pull the power button it flashes white 1x.
When you pull Fn and Power it flashes white 1x and red 1x.
That's it. Nothing else happens.
Anyone an idea??

My computer is in an automatic repair loop infinte and i ran out of wrranty and for some *** reaso you dell people dont put in those factory reset disks in your comp boxes so i might just go back to hp if i dont get this solved

How do I tighten the LCD panel hinge on a Latitude e5530?
How do I tighten the hinge on my Latitude e5530?
I looked through ALL the documentation for the Latitude e5530 and there is no reference to the word "hinge".
I can see how to remove the display assembly, but there is no reference to tightening the hinge (which is part of the display assembly.
Furthermore, removing the display assembly would remove the display AND the hinge... I don't want the whole thing removed... I just want the hinge tightened.

Black screen on tourn on
Good day
Black screen in dell inspiron n5110 my dell inspiron lcd screen break, when it was brokien i found that after dell logo the screen gomes black, so i replaced the screen and i opened my laptop i found after i startup my laptop it gives me the dell logo then its gives me black screen i tried to install windows but it fails.. My second question how to enable the beep sound so if it gives me an error or something...

Can i upgrade the ram? inspiron 15 7000 series
I have my dell inspiron 7000 series with 2x4gb ram modules installed. I was wondering if anybody knew which types of ram i could replace it with.
If im correct the ram is pc3-2800 dd3L.
Can somebody confirm.
Also what is the max ram i can install.
From what i read online the max ram is 16gb so thats 2x8gb modules.
What exactly should i be searching for on the ram?

life time warranty on dell memory?
hello, I own a old dell d630 with 2 x 4 gb pc2-6400s memory. recently laptop started locking up and blue screening. initially I thought the o/s was corrupted and I loaded a known good image. to my dismay it was still locking up. decided to run memtest and found out that I piece of the memory was full of errors. I had seen on line that dell memory carries a life time warranty, however, I have to admit I did not purchase the memory from dell.
my question is....will dell still honor the life time warranty on it?

My 1st laptop: Inspiron 3800 which is sentimental.
The wrong power was accidentally used, 24 or 26 volts as opposed to 20 volts. The laptop just shut down. When I try to switch on using the correct adapter, the light on the adapter comes on briefly then goes off. Does this mean there is internal damage, or a security mechanism within has switched off. How can I get it working again?

XPS 15 9530 will not connect to Galaxy S6
I recently purchased a Galaxy S6 I have tried to connect it to my XPS laptop using NFC the laptop makes a sound when I put the phone near it but does not ask to connect - I can add it via Bluetooth it pairs with the phone but will not connect

3 Months Old Inspiron 3000 Series Laptop, Power port issue. Got replaced and again the same issue
Bought a brand new Inspiron 3000 Series Laptop online thru Dell malaysia website, Got the product and was using it for 3 months and Laptop not booting , got issue at cable which connects the power adapter port and motherboard. so not able to boot the laptop.
Engineer came and replaced motherboard, as expected, issue not resolved and raised another case for the cable and came after 2 days to fix the issue and got my laptop booted up only to see OS got corrupted due to removing and adding HDD. It took 3 days for me to fix the OS by myself.
Now again my laptop not powering on. could be the same issue i guess..

hi, as told i tried to run the dell f-12 diagnostics by pressing F12 and its giving me and error code 20000142 ,validation 78613 saying short self test unsuccessful on hard disk drive.the system is booting up in windows 8 but its very slow like it takes around 20 mins to boot and after turning on whenever i try to open any software like internet explorer or any folder it says not responding. mines is a dell inspiron 15 r 7520(SE) purchased in september 2013. the configuration is inter i5,4gb ram,i tb hard disk with windows 8 home edition.
what can be done in this case?

Laptop power supply
I have a Dell Inspiron 15 7000 Series-7537. I tried to connect some external usb speakers to the laptop and create a static shock, shutting down the computer instantly. The laptop would no longer turn on. I opened the back side of the laptop and took out the battery. I tried to power the laptop on with no battery and just being plugged into the wall and IT WORKED. My laptop came to life and everything was working fine. I shut it down and started it back up, but this time I placed the battery back in (still plugged into the wall). The laptop started up and immediately shut down. I could not get the laptop to turn on with the battery in the laptop. I know before the static electricity the battery was 100% charged. What is the problem, do I need a new battery? Thanks

blue screen error inaccessible_boot_device
hi i have inspiron 15r laptop running on win8.1 i suddenly have this error code 0x0000001 inaccessible_boot_device. i was prompted to a blue screen with RECOVERY at the top. i tried every option that it suggest. i cannot do the troubleshooting option because when i try to go on safe mode it will just bring me back to the recovery. i also dont have a cd or usb for installing support system.

alienware 14 (mid 2013) broken screen repair

Hibernation and sleep modes
Does prolonged use of hibernation and sleep affect the battery or the system?
I've Dell vostro 2520. I usually hibernate it for four to five times for every 12 hours and put it to sleep mode nearly for the same time for short durations.
I've been noticing certain changes in the computer's performance after nearly five months of using it in the above mentioned way. Sometimes the computer goes to log off mode after three to four hibernations at a stretch and it doesn't hibernate further unless it is switched off. Many a times after resuming from sleep there's a change in the appearance of the start button. It appears kind of encircled by a ting of some colour. Sometimes after repeated hibernation the modem shows 'No Device' and functions only after restart. The battery also shows some strange variations like from 76% of charge is drops to 10% and while it was on 76 mark it led was red. It's a new battery and the old one too showed similar performance at the end of its tenure.

Inspiron 3152 - Lots of issues - please help!
I'd have to say this is the most disappointing piece of machinery I have ever gotten, and I had such high hopes. Hoping someone can help me here.
I just bought this computer less than 2 weeks ago, and it has given me a litany of problems. Let me list them here:
1) Often, when waking from sleep, it will work kind of choppily for about 2-3 minutes, then suddenly crash and give me a DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE. It will then restart.
2) Often, when waking from sleep, the touchpad will stop working. I would have to restart the computer in order to get the touchpad to start working again.
3) Not sure if this is a Dell thing, but I can't seem to find the Australian scrolling option on Google Chrome (the pointer-overlay page, and the general Devices setting on Chrome seems to simply not exist on this computer. It is very puzzling).
4) I was using Skype this morning for a conference call on a headset, and Skype crashed. Ever since, whenever plug in a headphones, even when there is no audio playing, there will be VERY LOUD static coming through the headphones - so loud that you don't even need to put on the headphones to hear it. When the headphones are not plugged in, audio is normal.
To try and fix these issues, I ran the diagnostic - both for the whole computer and for audio. The whole computer thing was fine. The audio diagnostic came up with something like low audio detected or something for the headphones.
I then did a factory reset - twice - both the normal reset and the deep reset (for recycle). Neither worked - the audio problem is still a problem.
Dell has suggested that I reinstall the Audio, Video, and Touchpad drivers. The problem is, for some reason, the support site is not detecting my service tag or my express service code (on the phone, it took them an HOUR to find the device). It keeps wanting me to download the drivers for the Dell Inspiron 15. Which is not what I have.
Anyone else having any of these problems and know of any fixes? Because the best solution I can come up with right now is to return the *** thing and get a Lenovo...

Dell 14R 5421 recovery problem HELP! HELP! HELP!
Couple of days ago,my dell 14R 5421 cannot connect internet, so I refreshed windows 8.1. After refreshing, the computer just displayed a blank screen with cursor. I cannot do anything ( even no task manager ).
Anybody can tell me how to recovery factory setting ( the model has no recovery media)?
