Okay so ive had my Alienware M14Rx2 for about 2 years now and right now i cant use it at all because when i plug in my charger the lights on it change signiling that it knows the charger is in but the computer does nothing, it doesnt charger or even say "pluged in but not charging" its like it doesnt even know it has a charger in even thought it clearly does. the only thing i can do right now is turn off the laptop or put it in hibernation then sometimes that lets it charge up but once i turn it back on it goes back to not knowing it has a charger in, so i cant play any games at all cause of it. ive also done upgrading/ downgrading the bios, that fixes it for maybe a day and it can recognize the charger again but now its stopped and it wont work again no matter how many time i change the bios. also its not the charger itself because my brother has the same laptop and charger had it for the same amount of time too but his is fine. changing chargers does nothing just the same results . All i want is to play games again. so is there a way to fix this? I have no money to send it in or to get it checked out, also i dont have a warrenty either cuz i didnt have the money. please is there a way to fix it? i had so many problems with this laptop its not even funny, its the worst 1k i spent for somthing but i already got it so i want to make it last till i can get something better. so is there anyway to fix this charger problem?

Please help reboot issues with dell Inspiron N5040
So I like to think that I am pretty tech savvy but this one has even me completely flabbergasted. So in the process of installing system updates my laptop has gone berserk. So wha would normally happen is on reboot the computer would "install updates" and then "configure windows" during this process windows gets to 35% and then restarts. I have tried running the f12 boot diagnostic and nothing comes up as wrong or malfunctioning. I am running out of ideas here my last resort is to factory resetting my laptop and I really don't want to as I did not have the chance to back up anything.

Cpu clock lower than default when Ac plug in. ATI HD 8790M
I have a dell latitude e6540 laptop with an ATI Radeon HD 8790M AMD.
I have a problem since I bought this computer, the GPU CLOCK is always 300 MHz while the default is 900 MHz, and it is also the case for GPU MEMORY CLOCK, I tried to change drivers several times and I have tried several versions without success.
I have updated the bios that indiquais "Fixed AMD GPU clock keep in 299MHz When AC plug out and plug in." http://www.dell.com/support/home/us/en/ ... erId=W64XT
This is actually my problem and it is not corrected with this update, and also with the last update the bios.
When AC plug out, the graphics card work perfectly, and Clock is not blocked at 300mhz.

Dell 1545 Visat - Bluetooth 365 not recognizing head set bluetooth v3.0 EDR
Experts ,
I own a dell 1545 Vista laptop and all fine with Bluetooth till now as im using bluetooth dell mouse . Recently i bought a bluetooth headphone with bluetooth V3.0+EDR. Unfortunately the laptop is not reading this device at all . However im able to scan and pair this headset from my mobile and ensured that the head set is all fine .
My laptop has Boradcom dell 365 bluetooth . Is this a lower version driver to pair with bluetooth V3.0+EDR?
I googled and found many posts but nothing is really helpful . In this case what is the way for me to connect and pair with bluetooth V3.0 devices . Please help .

Dell Venue 11 Pro - trouble with PXE boot
Before buying a lot of these tablets (Venue 11 Pro 7130), I have to ensure they can be deployed from MS Configmgr (2012). So far I have no luck getting our test model to PXE boot.
Following the instructions documented by Dell here: 
I have a USB to Ethernet Lenovo dongle based on the AX88772B chipset...which is supported according to the documentation. However, trying to PXE boot, the screen hangs on the message:
checking media presence...
start pxe over ipv4
It then moves to ipv6, and then boots on the hard drive. BIOS version is A14.
Any help would be appreciated!

M18x-R2 upgrading Grapics card?
my laptop came with 2x GeForce GTX 660M and its been struggling to keep up with the new games coming out, ive always endured the games being at the lowest setting possible but when i got witcher 3 it was running at 10-20 fps at the lowest settings. is it possible to upgrade one of them to a better one?

Laptop won't turn on sometimes is this a laptop hardware problem or the AC adapter problem?
Hi, I'm new here so I really don't know if I came into the right forum but I had this really weird problem with my Dell N5030 which I was using for almost 2 years now.
So months earlier my laptop's battery go dead so I had to use it without battery meaning I have to plug it always with the AC adapter and I had no problem at that and then last week after I used it for almost 9 hours straight I shut it down and the next day it won't turn on so I was disappointed and left the AC adapter plug into the socket for almost 5-10 minutes I went to check it if it'll turn on then it did. I thought maybe it's the adapters problem but I noticed that the system clock is not sync so I got confuse. Then the weirdest thing happened today, I tried turning it on and to my surprise it won't turn on even if I leave the adapter plug in for almost 30 minutes so I was thinking of dumping this thing. But then I got the brightest idea to plug it in the wall socket directly and it did turn on, but it really confuse me because if somethings broken on the motherboard or the hardware there would be a pop up or beeps right? so if anybody here on dell would help me with this I would be very happy so I can buy materials to repair this or buy another adapter and go on with my life. this is really bothering me for all my important files are in this laptop.

Alternate Inspiron 7548 Touchpad Drivers?
Does anyone have suggestions for drivers to replace the default touchpad driver? I am have constant track pad issues much like the ones described in the thread below. I am infuriated that Dell would sell 2015 laptops with almost 10 year old drivers from 2006. I am on the verge of just returning this laptop back to Dell due to the lack of support. It's unusable!

curser jumps around
When I am typing along, all of a sudden the curser jumps back to the beginning and before I catch it I have typed over what I had done. This is not related to any software package, I believe it is a function of the touchpad or keyboard. Is it possible to tighten up the force required on the touchpad or on the keys?

BASE SYSTEM DEVICE
I use a Dell Inspiron i5547-7500sLV running Windows 8.1. Device manager shows everything is working fine. I have some software that refuses to run on Windows 8.1 and the vendor has no plans to update it. I can run it on a virtual machine that runs Vista Ultimate. In my virtual machine, device manager says I am missing a driver for a Base System Device and some Unknown device on the same branch of the tree. I suppose it's obsessive, because the program seems to work, but I hate those yellow exclamation point error flags. Any ideas about what I need to do to make them go away?

How can I know which SATA port my motherboard have?

I have an Inspiron 17R 5720 2012 (Service tag G5NL1W1) and I'm looking for buy an SSD disks. Unfortunately I don't know which SATA disk I can buy. There are some SSD disks with Sata 3 but I don't know if my laptop will be compatible with it.
Can anybody tell me which Sata generation my motherboard accepts? (Sata 1, Sata 2 or Sata 3)

Drivers List From Service Tag Must Have Errors
Installing Drivers on this XPS15-L521X has always been an ordeal since Dell shipped it with major discrepancies from my online order such as OS, Memory, etc.
Begged and finally received a Factory System Image on a hard drive that was accurate. Saved it on a SanDisk which the laptop does not recognize during Recovery process.
Gave up and installed W7HP from cd, then attempted to install fresh Drivers from Dell according to service tag:
-LAN connection, IE browser.
-Drivers installed in this order:
-BIOS
-CHIPSET (4)
-VIDEO (2)
-NETWORK (2)
*Second driver, Dell 1901 would not install.
-INPUT
-AUDIO
-SERIAL ATA
*Was prompted to restart a second time after this driver was installed. Message followed saying hard drive and dvd drive were ready to use.
-SYSTEM UTILITIES (2)
*Second driver, Intel Rapid Start Technology, would not install. Received message "Computer does not meet minimum requirements."
-APPLICATIONS (2)
*Second driver, Dell Digital Delivery, did not give "finish" message but was located in list of Programs after restart.
Inspection of Device Manager at this point revealed one error message in Network for "unknown network controller". Attempt to install Dell 1901 at this point failed.
i know the Dell 1901 Network driver is wrong, because Dell forgot to install a part to accommodate the Centrino Network driver during assembly even though i bought a Netgear Push2TV at the same time as the XPS, and the Centrino is mandatory to use Intel WiDi.
i believe the Rapid Start Technology was in the list of Programs when the Factory Image was installed, but since there's also an Intel Driver called Rapid Storage Technology that makes them easily confusable.
If anyone has any suggestions or ideas, especially how i could leverage Dell to wrap this up without me wasting another day installing W7 then finding out they don't know which drivers my laptop ought to have, i would be so very, very grateful.

reason is is there are two games that i would love to play in a recommended specs much like the first one is coming out in june and got to check if it would run in the recommended but i end up in the medium but its going to work tho. Looked everywhere.It sounds like my cd/dvd slot keeps turning itself on and off every 5/10 minutes.Can anyone help? Warrenty expred 1 day before it started happening.
