Hello, Dell forum.,
The question above seems basic enough and why don't I just pull out the existing drive and see for myself..?
Long story short, not convenient at this time as Dell's "live assistance" is closed for the day.
Lack of an appropriate screwdriver with measuring resources while traveling also make's it a problem.
Amazing as it seems.., Uitil I submitted to the Dell's "system config scan" with binding compliance agreements, etc, other net searches were non-specific, at best.
Can I assume that's not the case here? lol.
Anyhow., apologies for the mini rant... Glad to have found the forum, and now, with added Dell support.
This question about my "form to fit" concern is due to wanting a replacement for an existing, Samsung SSD 125GB Drive, to a much larger, performance/storage solution using the Seagate SSHD 2TB option.
The SATA compartment (Primary C: internal Bay) under the mini SD card, is likely to be adequate.
Yet., Seagate, warns to be sure of the 2 TB Drive fitting in the bay's caddy with no issues.
The M4400 was released in 2008 so it may, or may not be, the 9.5 mm spec... Not sure, myself.
An over-sized bay caddy bares no concern, I imagine.
Any confirmation on this upgrade concern is very appreciated.
Thanks all.
