I am facing issue with registering my Vostro 3460 with Windows 7 - SP1 with dell.

After entering Service Tag & accepting Terms & Cond, .. it displays "

Your product is not currently supported by the Dell Driver Analyze Utility.

to return to the Drivers & Downloads page. Drivers Home Page
Can you pls suggest how to resolve this.

Inspiron Laptop Keeps Shutting Down within 5-10 seconds!

My Dell Inspiron 9 cell laptop was fine till yesterday, it had slight overheating issues for which I was using a cooling pad. But since today, it KEEPS SHUTTING DOWN WITHIN 5-10 seconds of booting up. I COULDN'T EVEN COMPLETE THE HARDWARE DIAGNOSTICS TEST AS IT SHUT DOWN IN BETWEEN.
I have very important work stuff in my HDD and I don't want to lose it so I have stopped trying to figure out the problem as the laptop shuts down everytime, sometimes even before it had completely started.
Please advise what to do ASAP!

PS: My hunch is that the laptop fan isn't working as I couldn't feel any air coming out from the vent. I tried cleaning and replacing the battery but it didn't work.

I have had this occur several times. Please advise on what to do. I also get this "ding - dong" intermittently at random times (one short high tone, then one short low tone). I can't find a common thread of when this happens, but when it does, the laptop is a bit warm. I have installed speedfan, which seems to help a little bit. Not sure if the two are related. I am concerned one day I will lose everything on my computer.

Having Problem With DELL Warranty Transfer

Let me just say that dell is probably is the worst when it comes to customer service I'm not sure anyone already knew that or not!. I have transferred a dell warranty about 3 months ago but I have yet to receive "an email" which is suppose to confirm that the warranty transferred. I tried calling calling but that was a nightmare. I got transferred to 5 different departments and eventually this lady in customer service said oh you'll have to wait before the warranty transfers before you can get any support! I asked her if dell will add 3 months to my warranty for not support our device for 3 months and she hung up the phone. How is dell so bad at this? Why doesn't anyone in dell care about customer service? Why is that when you go to their "contact us" page,  you have to go through 15 pages and links before you find any number to contact someone? who do  you have to contact for warranty transfer? They ask you to follow a link and fill the information and who gets that? Who do I contact?????

Latitude e6230 - Powershare USB 3 not working as required

Hi,

Have purchased a Dell E6230 recently. The powershare USB 3.0 port is not working i.e. not charging devices when the laptop is in sleep mode or shut down. I have changed the BIOS setting to "Enable USB Powershare" but it still doesn't work.

Appreciate any tips as I can't find too many threads on this.

XPS 12 - AC Adaptor plugged in but not charging

Hi

Thanks for assisting with my issue!

I purchased a DELL XPS 12 (Windows 8) 4 months ago.   I have a error in which the AC Adaptor is plugged in, but it is not charging.   I cant remove the battery as it is hard wired into the computer and it can only be removed by a technitian.  I cant get technical support from Dell as I am overseas and Dell wont honour my in home service warranty.

A few days ago I have spilled some liquid on my keyboard and it stopped working so I bought a new one. However now my keyboard keys are all mixed up. When I pres N key I get mn, B gives me vb, space works as enter, and navigation keys give me numbers. Did I somehow changed keyboard layout and is there a way to fix it?

I am thinking of getting this laptop and adding an ssd and extra memory. My question is since the RAM in this model is 4 gb single channell, will there be a slot for a second ram stick and will it then work in dual channel mode?

i have dell inspiron 1440. I am currently running windows 7.

My dvd-rw can easily read dvd but when i try to open cd it opens it as blank cd. Please help me to solve this problem.

Hi.. I left my computer alone for 4 hours and this 7 beeps and blank thing happened to me.. What can I do to fix this problem? I have picture of my kids being born in that computer. Picture I can't get back.. 2 different childbirths. So please tell me this can be fixed some how.Sad

My laptop keeps overheating and shutting off.  this happened to me before so I sent it in, along with another problem I had with my laptop. I am taking online classes so I cannot be separated from my laptop for more than couple of days like last time. How do I fix this myself?

Following 6 months of non-use, laptop won't turn on. Have tried removing battery, pressing power button for 30 seconds then replacing.. Charging light on cable and on laptop was on .. after 2 hours charging light on laptop went out.

I don't have service tag no. so from where i get that no. ........ just because of this I am facing problem, my laptop is not supporting any (dell or intel) wifi driver ...so whether it has problem with hardware or any other problem i am facing ....

UEFI Option Greyed Out In BIOS On Inspiron 15-3521

Hello, I have recently installed Windows on my Dell Inspiron 15-3521. Its Running good but I would like to enable UEFI boot and Secure Boot. But When I went to the BIOS and went to the Boot Section, There I saw one Option Names UEFI and below that two options Secure Boot and Fast Boot. But, Unfortunately both of these were greyed out with Disabled Option. So, I can't enable UEFI and Secure Boot.

So, Can Anyone Tell Me why is this happening? And how can I Access these Options?

OS- Windows 8 Pro 64-Bit

CPU- Intel Core i3 2365M @1.40GHz

RAM- 2GB DDR3 1600MHz

GPU- Intel HD Graphics 3000 1GB

Unable To Take Backup

Respected Sir,

I am using Dell Inspiron 15 R laptop with Windows 7 Ultimate 32 bits but when I try to take backup following error message was displayed: The backup application could not start due to an internal error: The service cannot be started,either because it is disabled or because it is disabled or because it has no enabled devices associated with it.(0x80070422). Block Level Backup Engine Service also be not running when I try to run this service manually following error message was displayed : Windows could not start the Block Level Backup Engine Service service on Local Computer. Error 0x800700b7: Cannot create a file when that file already exits. I already reinstall the operating system, run under safe mode and clean boot by using msconfig, run scf/scannow under command prompt but the problem not solved.Provide me solution for this.
