HI,

I am having Dell Vostro 3446 @ Jeddah and facing issue for frequent WI Fi Disconnection. Works OK for 5 to 10 mins then disconnects automatically. Sometimes it will not show Wi Fi devices to connect. Need to restart it then it may show with Luck.

Windows 8.1 Pro 64 bit is installed.

Laptop works fine with LAN. Have updated drivers and firmware along with BIOS. Laptop shows Wi Fi device ok in Device Manager (Dell Wireless 1704 802.11 b/g/n 2.4 GHz.

Need support for troubleshoot this. Kindly share Contact no for Jeddah Dell Support so I can go and get this resolved.

I want to share my problem so everyone will have to hear how dell support are treating their clients. I am  a resident in Saudi Arabia handling a position of engineering manager in a very well-known company, I had the eyes on the XPS 15 9530 on November 2014 and since it is not available in Saudi Market I requested someone to purchase it for me from the U.S. and that's what happened. I received my laptop on end of December and in mid of January I discovered that the HDMI port is not working. The Laptop is a brand new one and not refurbished, I have contacted Dell support in the Middle East and they said that the device has a next business day support, after 2 weeks of delay I have received a refurbished motherboard which has been replaced by Dell support team themselves. It was a shock for me to find out that the replaced board has a VGA problem, I have contacted back Dell again and waited for around a month to receive another motherboard which has a big label on it as " REFURBISHED" and this what made me lose my mind. I refused installing it and contacted Dell and complained about how they want to use refurbished part in with new Laptop especially when they have sent the previous one and been found defective. They said that this is the agreement with the Middle East and we cannot go beyond that. They tried convincing me about replacing the motherboard and I kept rejecting that especially for a brand new Laptop. And since it was not the first motherboard they bring I am not going to accept having my laptop as a test field for refurbished parts and waste my time on waiting and waiting. Middle East support asked me to contact the U.S. support and comment on the whole case status and this what happened without reaching to any positive help from them, they rejected to send a new motherboard but only refurbished since I am not a U.S resident otherwise I have to send back the laptop to the U.S. in order to get a brand new motherboard. I informed them that I prefer to put the laptop on the shelf and completely forget about it and never beg for such support. The support closed the chat window without even showing 1% concern towards the case. On the next day (5th of March 2015 at 11:31AM) I received a call from +33302108129810 and it was from Dell support again. We had a conversation that lasted 17 min 57 sec during which they couldn't convince me about accepting another refurbished motherboard again, and since it was the fault of Dell quality control why to back charge it on the client by offering him refurbished parts for a laptop which has not been used for more than few hours. Since they are not allowed to send new replacement parts for the Middle East the agent promised to send me a new laptop just to keep me satisfied but the only thing that he complained about is the delivery time which it was from 4 to 6 weeks. I have agreed with him on the delivery schedule in one condition that the laptop will be a brand new one and he confirmed. After 6 weeks no one contacted me so I called the Middle East support who said that they have no records about any commitment therefore I provided them with the phone number I received the call from with the date and time. They said they are going to investigate and contact me back. After 10 days I called them again, they informed me that they could reach to any result, I got forwarded to the supervisor who denied everything and told me that the agent who called me might be mistaken and we cannot do anything for you. For me I believe that there is a neglection, non-trustable promises and bad support management that promises the client with no registered records on their system and denial for any commitment. It is a very bad experience with Dell which completely made me not to think about buying any Dell product anymore, it was really humiliating.

Been noticing my battery life on my e6330 has been very poor recently, so decided to check HWmonitor and this is what I have found! 

Considering I have only had it around 2 years does this seem normal?

I am quite good with regards to unplugging it when im not using it etc

Hi, 

Ive got a problem with my dell laptop...

The laptop is a couple of years old and had no problems with it prior to me standing on the charger tip while it was on the floor (not connected to pc)

I purchased a new adapter with the same model number and power codes as on the original but this 'plugged in not charging' message has come up.

After reading some similar problems on here, i have taken the battery out and inserted to make sure that it is seated correct.

Started in F2 Bios which says 'UNKNOWN' for adapter.

Checked the Dell battery meter which is saying the battery is working normal and is healthy though it does say 'battery charging disabled'

On start up the battery light flashes 4 amber 1 white flashes.

Is there anything else i can check out to see what the problem is or how to fix it?

I just bought a Dell Inspiron 17R with Windows 8.1 OS. WiFi is not working. No WiFi adapter found under device manager. I ran through multiple windows updates to try and identify the adapter/problem. I have also downloaded the driver from dell but I received a "failed to install" error. Please assist.

Hello,

I bought the laptop about a year ago and recently I have been noticing that the computer will blue screen stating "Driver_Power_State_Failure" and shut down. I have done a little bit of research and am finding that this is related to my graphics card. 

I have reverted back to a working driver -- as far as I know -- but not have began to get the problem again. Conveniently, my warranty just ran out and Dell will not talk to me on the phone without charging me. 

Further, I have had the motherboard and wifi card replaced twice due to previous wifi problems that Dell replaced at no cost because I was under warranty. 

I am beginning to think that my investment on this potentially powerful laptop was a waste and it will soon be replaced by something else.

Has anyone had this same problem and/or know how to address is correctly?

E7450 - Unable to connect to DELL U2414H monitor with HDMI cable - all drivers updated - have tried to launch the Dell display Manager and get error This program requires a supported Dell Monitor and connection and compatible display driver - if you believe your system meets these requirements try power cycling the monitor and updating the display drivers --- this has been done - no matter what I do I cannot connect to the monitor - I have tried direct from the laptop and through a Toshiba Dynadock 3.0 -- again all drivers updated --- under dispkay in control panel in the display I see 1. Mobile PC display  2. Dell U2414H(HDMI2) - I have tried duplicating extending and projector only - no display on the monitor - CAN ANYONE PLEASE ADVISE - MANY THANKS.

I have just got my Dell XPS 13 CNX4305 (swapped because the first died after 2 days)

I noticed these 2 events in the event log (they also existed in the old old computer which died)

Hi,

Bought recently the new XPS 13 and have a weird problem.

The battery indicator always shows a solid amber light when it is plugged in (100% battery) and what is more strange when it's turned off.

I have updated BIOS although I think I had the latest one anyway.

There are no other evident problems.

Please advise, thanks.

Hello Everyone!

I am using Dell Insp 3521 since last 2 years. I am facing a problem regarding ON/OFF. Sometimes Laptop does not switch On. I used Fn+Brightness+,, and it worked but now laptop is totally dead. What should i do ?

I had a continuous problem with battery charging. This only happened if my computer was off for a long time. At least more than a week. Numerous call to Dell Support resulting in bios upgrade, battery charger change out but no resolution. i stumbled upon a setting that fixed the problem. Called Dell back to let them no although they seemed disinterested. Assume this has happened to other people. The fix for me is the following:

Right click on the battery icon and choose Dell Extended Battery Life Options.

Click on Desktop mode

check disable 

You battery should start charging if this was the problem. You may have to click the charge battery box. 

After the battery starts charging you can check enable again. Should be okay until the next time it quits charging. 

I think this problem is by design but no one in support could answer including the supervisor. Surprising they did not know this simple fix.

I got my XPS 13 swapped (because the first I received died within 2 days). When I now log into my account - it says about the new XPS 13

That the warranty has expired.

Regarding my new Dell XPS 13 (qhd):

At 90%, it says I have 2 hours and 30 minutes remaining. How is that possible?

20 minutes later I will hover over it and it will say 4 and change...

The number keeps changing. How do i get an accurate read on how much juice I have left?

    Ok so both my GPU (AMD Radeon HD 7970M) and Integrated GPU (Intel HD 4000) are refusing to work yet luckily I can still log in and see my desktop etc. No matter how many times or what versions I re-installed the drivers to they refused to go back to working properly.

    Also unless I have one disabled it freezes at bootup. I had my friend look at it remotely as well since he runs a computer business and no clue. I also figured I could use my integrated as my primary to play games with and such for now but am having a hard time being able to figure out how to switch to that?

    If I disable my AMD card and update the integrated drivers it shows no problem otherwise it gives me the windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (code 43) problem. Thing is my CCC is no longer working let alone my graphics properties for intel have gone AWOL and even reinstalling the graphic properties will not work.

    Also my drive does not work so I cant just put in the resource or OS disc's unfortunately. I just figure if somehow if I am able to restore my graphic properties for my intel any other way and set it as my primary any other way than with the programs?

I have Dell 5521 15R Inspiron with AMD 8730M and Intel HD 4000. When I run to AMD Catalyst Center to setup, it shows an error that says Application Install: Install Package Failure. I tried to install GPU-Z to find if I wrong on my graphic card but GPU-Z program show nothing but Intel HD 4000. I've tried to start this graphic card since last week but it never shows itself. On my BIOS there isn't any option that says Switchable Graphic Cards. And I still think it's a software problem not hardware. And one more thing, I installed and tried lots of driver to see if I'm wrong but it never appears. What should I do? Please help me 'cause I spent lots of money to buy this computer and can't play any game.

I have a Dell inspiron 3521 and it's 11 months old. Today when I opened it this message appeared : "Your battery has experienced permanent failure and needs to be replaced. I can open the notebook when ac is on but the red led of battery is blinking and the battery can not be charged. Also in bios i get the same message about battery. Is this really a permanent failure ? It's just 11 monts old. What can I do ?

I've owned my Inspiron for a year and 2 months, and my laptop performs excellently. However the left click button is deflated, and when clicked makes a much louder more metallic sound than it's right click counterpart. The right click is in perfect shape, with a soft click sound and stays rigid in its place. Meanwhile the left click button is wobbly and can be moved a tiny bit. Perhaps a spring broke? The left click still works, so it's not like it's inactive, but it is deflated and makes a sound similar to flicking a tin can. I'm just wondering what's wrong and if it can be fixed by removing something and maybe setting something back into place.

I ordered 8GB of DRR2 800 with 6-6-6-12 timing.
I have an SSD sitting around. Currently opted for 2TB Samsung P3 external drive.

BIOS is A19. (could switch to A17 is that matters.)
Currently cpu is T7100. HDD is 320 GB. DRAM is 2GB 667.

1.  Will any of the Core 2 Quad core cpu work with this device?

2.  What is the fastest Dual Core that works with this?

3.  Are the NVS 135M graphics  upgradeable? 

4.  What happens when you place a Socket P 1066 FSB chip in a system that is 800MHz FSB?
