boot msata ssd in an Inspiron 13z 5323
I just want to confirm that the BIOS does not allow direct booting of the msata ssd card since the legacy boot options only show the hard drive.
What if the hard drive is removed?

Inspiron 14z no direct menu key
Hi!,
I have just receive my new Inspiron 14z Ultrabook, is a great machine.
I am much a keyboard user rather than mouse, and I miss the direct menu Key (equivalent to mouse right button)
Is there any way to configure a FN- function to emulate that function? Or any other way?

I have a Dell Latitude 13. I am going to Ireland and England tomorrow. I bought an international adaptor (The adapter I bought says electrical rating is 125 V 6A; 250V 13A), but what about a converter? Where do I get that? Or do I need it?
My charger says 65 W Adapter
Then the charger sys Output is AC 100-240v, 50-60 Hz
It says Output is DC 19.5 V

GPU too hot?
Hello, I purchased an Inspiron 17R SE 7720 in August of 2012, and I'm noticing the GPU hitting some significantly high temps as of late. When idle it typically sits at about 45c, occasionally hitting 50c when web browsing or streaming video - that's not much of a concern. However, when I play any game it shoots up to 88 to 90c, which is kind of outrageous to me. When I first purchased it I think the highest temp it hit was around 77c when gaming. I have the laptop on a cooling pad, and no vents are obstructed, so it isn't an external airflow issue. I read that the issue could be caused by excessive build up of dust inside the case, and that opening it up and blowing compressed air inside should clean it up, I have yet to try this (mostly because the idea of opening up the laptop at all is not very appealing to me) but will try it if it lowers the temps. I know that laptops tend to run much hotter than desktops, and they're built to withstand more heat, but 90c seems dangerously high to me. My research seems to agree; when I began to look into this the general consensus seems to be that anything above 85c is a cause for concern. I bought this laptop and put in the necessary upgrades so that I would be able to game on it, but I don't want it to fry itself before it's even a year old. Could these high temps be an indication of my graphics card dieing out, or is really just an issue with internal airflow due to dust? Thank you for any assistance!

E6430U run very hot on top half of the laptop
Is it normal for this laptop run very hot?
I have E6400 and E6420 and none of them are running that hot?
Fan seems to be working, it is blowing out hot hot air.
Bottom half seems to be warm not hot. Top keyboard row is hot to touch.
Does any one has the same experience?

Bad Video Performance Dell 17R SE 7720
Essentially my graphics card, a GT 650M, is performing much slower than when I first got the laptop. Then back in February, I upgraded to Windows 8. My performance went down significantly in most games. I updated drivers and so forth. I thought the issue was based upon general system corruption, so I did a clean install of Windows 7. I installed the wireless driver via the drivers disk. I updated the video drivers. The problem still persisted, and the video performance is still terrible. My laptop is still under warranty. I ran a hardware scan and it said all of my hardware was ok. Any ideas?

Hard disk failure Laptop XPS
Hi I bought my laptop around 2009, and this week it experience hard disk failure and asked me to back up file. It just saying the Samsung something and then C:/. It displayed message I either need to replace it or fix it. and since then whenever I on my laptop it always asked me that. What happened? Why suddenly I got message hard disk drive failure? What to do?

Problems with Vostro 3360 touchpad sensitivity using RDP
Hi
We have 100+ Dell laptops at our company. Recently we've had some problems with the touchpad on some of our Vostro 3360.
Out users primarily work on a remote desktop using Microsofts RDP client. Approx. 6 of our users experience problems with the touchpad sensitivity, when they are writing in word or using the web. The mouse icon seems to jump around the screen quite random at times, and when they are writing in Word it skips line in the middle of them writing. Very annoying.
It seems the problem primarily exist when using remote desktop. I have checked drivers and touchpad configuration, and everything seems to be fine. When we change sensitivity options in the Dell touchpad tool the changes does not apply to the remote desktop.
What makes it quite weird is, that we only have the problem on 6 computers (that I've heard of) out of 60 Vostro 3360, we haven't seen the problem on the rest of our Vostro laptops (3350, 3500, etc).
Do any of you have an idea about whats wrong and how to fix it?

Very Slow startup
I have a Dell Inspiron N5110 and to start it want 1 Minute and 10 seconds.
I open the msconfig and only 3 intel it's marked. Also my Hard Disk it's 7200 rpm and it has 16 Mb cache. I have Windows 7 Home Premium installed from Dell. I have Microsoft Essentials for Antivirus and nothing find. Whats going wrong??? please help.

I have dell xps 15 intel core i7 processor n 1tb ram. Though entire program files,data and all is nt more dan 200gb ,its showing 700gb used. Can any 1 tell the problem.

64gb flash memory
I just purchased the latitude 10 with 64gb flash memory. Although when I look in widows explorer, c: it shows 51.3GB total storage. Am I missing something?

Battery problems
Hi
I'm having some troubles with charging battery on my Dell XPS 12. When I connect the power cable, one of five lamps turn on ( little lamps on right side of laptop which show charging status ). Before problems, lamps were turning on one by one, and when the battery was fully charged they all turned off. And now, they still turn on one by one, but they never turn off, all the 5 lamps are turned on and when I power on my laptop battery shows me about 95% charged. And I know I charged it enough, because I usually charge it for 3-4 hours, but now I did it for quite longer but nothing.
Any solution to this? I don't want battery lose capacity because of this problem, so I'm asking you for help.

I am having problem with TEST FAILS on my Dell PC - STUDIO XPS with a warning: Your drive indicates that a failure may be imminent. Back up all important files and Replace your drive.

The information I got from the scans are shown below. My question is this: Do I really need to replace my hard drive asap? I still have lots of disc space left, not nearly full. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated since I am no longer covered by a warranty. I bought this in 2010/2011.
