D531 suddenly stoped working
Hi,
My Latitude D531 suddenly stopped working while I was using it (AC power was plugged).
Now I am not able to power it on.
The symptom (same with AC power (w/o battery) and with battery only):
- the power LED is ON for ~4sec after pressing the power ON button, then it stop
- HDD start spinning
- the fan does not start, but it is ok (it was removed and verified)
- no beep
- HDD, RAM, DVD ROM, WLAN, Blutooth, CPU removed, nothing changed
- D+Power ON: display looks ok
- Fn+Power ON: all three Lock LEDs are solid, non of them is flashing (no meaning found for this state)
- tested with three different AC adapter, nothing changed

PLEASE HELP! Stuck in a never ending automatic repair loop!!
I posted on here before but could not find any help. I have scoured the internet to no avail. I have a dell inspiron ultrabook.It is stuck in a repair loop. I cant even get to the login screen it just keeps restarting. I pressed shift f8 into diagnostics and the only thing wrong with it is the optical drive it said. I keep pressing f8 by itself like i was suggested to do but i cant boot into safe mode like that. and f12 brings me into my boot up settings and i dont know where to go from there. I am in dire need if someone can please help me i would appreciate it greatly! it runs windows 8

MY new Inspiron-15-5547 has very bad WIFI reach, why?
My dell laptop is only 4 months old and its been like this from day one. Ive researched and others have the same problem. The poor wifi reach. In other words, the internet speed.
Ive tested with another laptop, weaker specs and older, and it STILL has a better conection, miles off.
So whats up dell? Are you going to refund me totally? Or are you going to actually tell people that the wireless reach is short? Its a nasty surprise to find after buying it.
And thats not the only thing wrong with it. My older laptop with weaker specs is far quicker you know, and Im not talking about internet speed! Wow. But the wifi is the main concern.

Optical drive is not working on Dell Inspiron 17R (5737, Mid 2013)
Last night when i tried to burn a disk image, i noticed that my optical drive was not showing in windows explorer. I tried several diagnostic tool from Dell but all say there were no problems. But still i do not see my optical drive on my computer. I run windows 8.1 and i have the latest windows updates installed. I also tried to find the drivers on the Dell support site but i cannot find them for my computer. Can anyone please help with this problem?

Dell Inspiron turned itself off
I bought my laptop in November. I was just on Tweetdeck looking at a storm map and when I went to close the graphic, the computer shut down. It came back on immediately when I hit the power button. It's never done this before. It's plugged in, the battery is at 100%, it's on a desk, the vents aren't blocked. I've never dropped it or spilled anything into it.
Windows 7, i5 processor, Firefox with NoScript, Norton AV and Carbonite online backup running. Ran a Norton scan and a Malwarebytes scan earlier today and nothing came up.
Is this a known issue?

No more Wifi connection visible/available
I have a Dell XPS 12 and so far it worked fine but today it dropped the wifi connection a few times and then said it could not connect anymore. When I disabled and re-enabled the wifi adapter it worked again for a bit (half hour or hour).
Then it said suddenly "no connection available" but my cell phone shows all the connections from me and neighbors without problems. Disabling/enabling does nothing. I have run windows troubleshooting and it says "there might be a problem with the driver for the wifi adapter". It tries to fix that but doesn't succeed.
In device manager the wifi adapter shows as functioning. I've tried updating the wifi driver, uninstalled it, reinstalled it, nothing. I've tried the newest Intel WirelessPro software for Windows 8.1 64bit for the 7260-AC too and it installs but again nothing happens.
Anyone an idea what else to do? I still have warranty but I don't want to be without my laptop for weeks ...

Inspiron M5010 - 7 beeps at start up(not powering up) -- why dell laptops life time is less than 3 years...?
I bought my laptop 2.5 years back. my primary reason for buying dell laptop is expecting good customer service. Till 2 years i didn't get any problem. After that it started troubling me with 7 beeps sound and sudden memory dump problems. If i go for dell support they are asking around 18k. Irrespective of my friends suggestions i bought this laptop by expecting good support.But it disappointed me lot.By this experience i got a great lesson not to buy any dell laptop. still i don't know why dell is not able to produce quality laptops.

Dell Latitude E6410 - start up issues
Hello,
On my e6410 WIN 8.1 is installed. After restart, cannot boot any more. After Dell logo nothing happened, just black screen and padlock 9 is on all the time.
- I tried to add from another laptop RAM, to test if current one is ok - everything the same
- I replaced Motherboard - everything the same
- Tried with new hard disk also - same issue
- once after 50 trials laptop succeed to start, and then is working normally
configuration is:
i7 processor with 8 gb RAM, intel graphic card.
Diagnostic tool wont start, it freeze after hitting diagnostic tool.
Same issue is with old motherboard before I replace to a new one.
I have no ideas any more.....

I bought a Dell Inspiron 15 7537 on November 2014. I just found out that there are some button on the keyboard stuck when typing. I still under warranty until November 2015. So will the Next Business Day Support cover if i claim to replace the keyboard?

New Dell laptop freezing and buzzing for a couple of seconds
I bought this laptop a few months ago, everything else works fine, but once in a while it freezes and makes an annoying buzzing sound for like 3 seconds.
It seems to happens once a couple of days.

My HD is failing - can i replace without installation disks?

I have a Dell N5050 and it's hard drive is failing (still loads but is getting worse and worse).
I have ordered a new SSD HD to replace it but cannot find my installation disks.
How can i use my current install/laptop to create a windows disk so i can install the new HD?

Webcam problems following upgrade from W7 to W8.1
As explained above I have upgraded to W8.1 but in doing so have lost the webcam. I some difficulty I found Webcam Central and installed it. When I run Webcam central I get a message "close the other video streaming application to start video"but nothing else is running. Very shortly after there is another message to say that WebcamDell2.exe has stopped working.

about the real HDD & OPERATING SYSTEM (DELL LATITUDE D430)
my DELL LATITUDE D430 specs showed in sticker the OS @corei7, HDD @500GB, and the MEMORY @4GB. it also appears in its system, but after we reformat the unit it appears that the OS is CORE 2 DUO, HDD @40GB, MEMORY@ 1GB only. How's that happened? any help please....

Bluetooth Mouse Problems
I have a Dell XPS14 which I like very much. One of its shortcomings, however, is a limited number of USB ports - 2. In order to alleviate this problem, I have acquired a Microsoft Arc Touch Bluetooth Mouse. Unfortunately, I am having problems getting it installed. I go through the pairing process, which is not smooth at all. Afterwards, if I try to use the Microsoft Keyboard and Mouse software, it doesn't see the Bluetooth mouse. Furthermore, while the mouse will work for a short while after it has been paired, the connection is soon dropped and is impossible to restore. So, I have to remove the device, restart, and go through the pairing process again. By the way, my OS is Windows 7 x64.
Anybody have any ideas. I looked for a new driver for Bluetooth, but I am unable to find anything. I am unable to tell if this is a Dell issue, a Microsoft issue, or a Qualcomm Atheros issue.

XPS 9530 - Cursor often jumps when clicking touchpad
Hi there, I've been using my Dell XPS 9530 for about 9 months now.
I'm very pleased with the machine but one thing keeps bugging me. The touchpad. I keep having this peculiar issue where if I move the cursor around and >click< the touchpad (not just tapping it) the cursor jump in one direction. Typically up.
This only happens when I hard-click the touchpad. Also, there doesn't seem to be any system as to when it does it. At least I haven't been able to identify such system.
It's been present ever since my first day with the machine, even through countless of driver updates and re-installs. And it's beginning to bug me since I can't seem to get used to just tapping the touchpad.
I've found this problem being mentioned other places - e.g. here (under the touchpad section for the dell) but so far haven't been able to identify the cause nor a solution.
Is anyone else experiencing this and what do you suggest?

Inspiron M501R freezing
Hi,
My laptop started complete random freezes a few months back. After a number of checks (CHKDSK, Malware, Antivirus) I tried a complete restore but that also freezes randomly anything from 5 to 20 mins after power on. I have assumed an overheating problem of some kind, so took it apart but it's all clean inside, fan works OK (though has always run hot). I left it running in the BIOS for over an hour today and it was fine ! Is there something different about it running in the BIOS that could indicate the cause of the problem, I assume the CPU is still in use at this time for example ? Is there any way to actually identify what the issue is (all DELL diagnostics show nothing in particular). Happy to replace parts but really only if I know it's the cause.

Dell Studio 1535 Model No PP3L
Im having a bit of trouble with starting my laptop past the first screen. after I power on my laptop it automatically takes me to the Windows error recovery screen. in this particular menu I see launch setup repair and window start normally. I have tried many various options on repairing this laptop, for example when I restart the computer and select F 8, none of the available options seem to work when I try to reboot my system. I just want to figure out how to get my computer toso the log in menu so I am able to save my files. any suggestions before I discard my laptop for good?
