Webcam & Mic
I am not able to find my webcam on my laptop. Not the actual camera, that is on top, I know this. Several 3rd party applications said they were unable to detect my webcam and/or mic and after some digging, I am not able to either. Other than the actual physical camera above the screen, there is no evidence that my laptop has a webcam, this is off because I recently used it for an 8 hour session. Any help would be great, I am not the most tech savvy person, thanks in advance for the help. Also, it is a Inspiron 15R, 5520

KM632 does not recover from sleep button. Diagnostics error message.
2 Issues: 1) KM632 - My new Dell Inspiron 20 3043 with Dell USB wireless keyboard and mouse Bundle KM632 - The keyboard does not recover from the sleep button on the keyboard by pressing a key. The PC has to be turned back on by the power button.
2) Diagnosis not working - In the Product Support page the Diagnosis does not work - it has an error message, “PC-Doctor Powered Application is currently running. This is not used when gathering system information or diagnostic test results through the Diagnosis Control.”

Wipe my e4200 clean and start from scratch
I have an older e4200 (roughly late 2008) and want to let my child use it. Before I hand it down, I want to completely clean the hard drive and start from a "brand new" perfectly clean hard drive with Windows and all the appropriate drivers installed. How do I accomplish this?

Windows 7 starter on Inspiron mini 1012
hi I already have a copy of the dell restore cd windows 7 sp1 starter (em) 32-bit its 4.78 GB size that I got from dell & I got the reinstall drivers and utilities its 821 mb in size & application cd for reinstalling dell webcam centeral software its 123 mb in size & microsoft works 9.0 cd that I also got from dell.. The lap top does not have a cd/dvd player.
My question is what size usb flash drive would I need to copy each of the disk that I have on to a usb flash drive?
will it boot up with just the usb flash drive with the restore cd copied to it or do I need to use a special program to make the flash drive bootable 1st before I copy the restore cd on to the flash drive?
I was thinking of getting a 64 GB flash drive to load all of the cd's on to it can I do that?

Two Inspiron 1505 s into one
I have two Inspiron 1505. One is completely dead . Te other starts to boot but then some connection issue with the screen cuts it off to black. Both hard drives appear to work fine. I'd like to cannibilize the dead machine that won't turn on to fix the one that still boots. Not sure what to switch out. Was thinking of putting the mother board in the dead one but maybe there is a screen issue on the second and it would be easier to switch out the screen. What would you do? Is there something else i should try first. Don't say buy new. I feel like I have enough parts to make one work.

Dell inspirion 15 wet keyboard
So my brother spilled his water on my laptop, after that it started having problems. I removed it and dryed any it, but there wasnt much water there from what i could see. Now the space key is enter, and all the letter keys have multiple character outputs (m comes back as mn or mk). I ordered a new keyboard from amazon and am awaiting its delivery, however i am worried its a motherboard problem. I read a thread on here about a similar problem, in his case replacing the keyboard didnt work, or at least didnt fix it entirely. Everything works but this, so what are the chances its motherboard damage.

Battery not charging Inspiron n5030
I have a Inspiron n5030 that I finnaly got working, Now its telling me the battery is at 46% and not charging.
I have changed the power supply with another. It also works on the battery but don't know how long it will last.
Is it a problem with the battery or motherboard?

Dell Studio 1558 | Display Problem | Solution needed

When i turn on the laptop, display doesn't turn on even when external monitor connected via VGA/HDMI.. I hear CPU Fan sound, keyboard lights on, power light on.. I think it would be a motherboard issue.. Can anyone let me know the solution for the problem..

This is ridiculous!
I had been trying to sort out my warranty for almost 2 months now but no one at dell can help me. It's always a dead end! I need to transfer my owner ship to Canadian. I have filled out the transfer ownership form almost 5 times now and each time it is denied because "the previous owners information is incorrect.....I AM THE PREVIOUS OWNER!!!!! No matter what combination of words I try, it always comes back denied. I have called many, many times to which the only answer I receive is "please go back and fill out the form". My warranty is set to end in a few weeks and this MUST be resolved by then. Anyone PLEASE help me....PLEASE!!!! Is there somewhere I can go to see what information I must have put in in the first place so I can finally get my warranty transferred and get my computer back...PLEASE!!!

Will a Inspiron 5110 be booted by a USB drive clone of the internal drive ? How to use recovery partition ?
Two and a half year old Inspiron 5110 with Win 7 Home Premium. Cloned the internal drive using Easeus. Set the BIOS to USB in number one position, but this laptop won't boot from the external drive. Is this laptop bootable via a USB platter drive or a thumb drive ?
Also, can the recovery partition be used to repair Win 7 or is the recovery partition only to format the drive and install software the way it was when new ?

dell inspiron i7737 crashes without a reason and when shutting down beep sounds
i purchased my dell inspiron i7737 recently in November 2014. and since then it worked perfectly. and im not a novice. i know well about hard ware , software and how to perfectly maintain a laptop. so i know nothing wrong happened from me. but since 3 days my laptopis crashing. no error messages or nothing. just boom lights out. and once i got a error message when i restart my laptop that( date time error) then i fixed it using network time. and till now my laptop has crashed 5 times for 3 days,. and when i shutdown it today i got 3 or 4 beep sounds. i dont know why.. please help me...

Dell Vostro 3546 Touch pad not working
Hi,
My laptop came with a preinstalled Ubuntu but after changing it into Windows 8 ,touchpad and mouse is not working . I have installed the required drivers from downloads page but only the external optical mouse working not the touchpad
Since the driver is HID compliant driver and there os no dell tochpadoption in mouse properties
Please help me with this

How to file a complaint against dell customer service and Warranty
When I went to buy a laptop, I have not considered any other laptop as I thought Dell would be perfect for me. However, let me tell you, it's not. Within the period of 1 month, I started getting touch pad issues which is not resolved completely yet. This is not ended here. I bought this laptop (which was the worst decision I have ever made) in October 2014 and this Dell dashboard shows my warranty expiring in July 2015. I am emailing to them and nobody even bothers to give a reply. On phone support I have asked several times that I want to extend my warranty, however nobody helped me for that too. Is this your SO CALLED superior customer service and quality product? If yes then please stop selling Dell Inspiron 3542 model. Pathetic touch pad! LET ME KNOW HOW CAN I FILE A COMPLAINT as I cant take this harassment further.

Formatting Alienware M17X R4
So me being an idiot I accidentally removed the Partition with all the Alienware stuff in it to allow me to use AlienRespawn. How would i go about formatting my laptop now that I don't have that.
I've tried on multiple occasions to use the disc that came with the laptop itself along side the drivers needed to do the format but that was saying that i had the wrong drivers.

I have JJVYM - non-3D 1G (integrated GT 550M GPU) VRAM with 2 DIMM slot
I was wanting to know if I can use the:
?? YW4W5 - non-3D 3G VRAM (integrated GT 555M GPU) with 2 DIMM slots??
There seems to be 4 total Mainboards/Motherboards for my Laptop:
TXP27 - 3D 3G VRAM (integrated GT 555M GPU) with 4 DIMM slots
YW4W5 - non-3D 3G VRAM (integrated GT 555M GPU) with 2 DIMM slots
P4N30 - 3D 1G VRAM (integrated GT 550M GPU) with 2 DIMMS slots
JJVYM - non-3D 1G (integrated GT 550M GPU) VRAM with 2 DIMM slot
I figured since mine is a Non-3D version I couldn't just install a 3D version Motherboard, unless I'm wrong. It would require me to change the screen as well as other components. Please correct me if I'm wrong. As far as the one I asked about, there shouldn't be any trouble with using the Non-3D Motherboeard and use all my components? Since it is only the GPU that is different. Please, any advice would be great. I really need to get my Laptop back up and running, and it seems that my choices of replacement parts are dwindling.
