I was using my laptop and suddenly it shutdown. I thought ot was some kind of battery probelm and i change it but same result i check ram and processor too but all are fine . Laptop shutdown after 10 to 15 sec . The fan speed increases before shutdown. Kindly help me about this.

no way to get to the internet
I have an Insperion 1300 laptop. I had to re-install the OS because of problems. It was not a dell version of XP, just a generic. Now I have no way to get to the internet. All the sites I went to want me to download software to survey the laptop and then download needed drivers. How do I get drivers to download on another pc so I can move them and install on the laptop???

Dell E7240 i7-4600u Turbo Boost does not work
Hi, I have strange problem with Turbo Boost on my Dell E7240 with i7-4600u processor, turbo booost sometimes doesn't work under any conditions (even, when tempereture is low, and when only one core is loaded.)
Details:
There are days, eg. yesterday, when Turbo Boost works perfectly, even for longer time and even higher temperatures. Yesterday I played DiRT 3 on Windows 8.1 for about 1 hour, my laptop was hot, but not too much (80 C), and there are about 25 fps. Then I switched to Ubuntu 14.04 LTS, and I perform other task, eg. compressing data to tar.gz, and I checked with i7z that frequencies was about 3,3 GHz (Turbo Boost working).
But today, I ran DiRT 3 on Windows 8.1, and only about 10 minutes there was 25 fps, but sudenly there was about only 10 fps, and my laptop wasn't hotter than yesterday. Also, when I switched to Linux, and whatever I do, maximal frequencies are 2,6 GHz. Turbo Boost doesn't work anymore, even when I swith off my laptop, and when I cool it to room temperature.
I know that Turbo Boost is working only under few circumstances, but as I said, yesterday Turbo Booost worked for quite long, and there was no problem, and today, under the same conditions there wasn't work anymore...
Do you have some idea, what can I do?

Hard drive replacement/OS installation/no boot device found
Installed replacement hard drive in Latitude E6510. Ordered same drive as originally installed from Dell. When I try to install OS on new drive I get the "No Boot Device Found" error. When I enter set up the HDD and DVD drive are shown as installed. I changed the boot sequence to have the DVD run as first boot device. Any ideas?

Restored Inspiron 1520 Hangs During System Boot
Background: Laptop has not been used regularly for quite a while. The system booted up fine and loaded Windows Vista with no problem. Everything seemed to be in working order. Decided to wipe the system, load productivity applications, and give it to my grandson who is starting college.
I depressed the F8 key during start up and entered the recovery routine. I selected the "restore to factory settings" option. The system indicated it was first formatting the drive and then restoring the system.
When I restarted the computer I got to the Dell Boot Screen. Displayed on the screen is the Dell logo, "Inspiron 1520 Series", progress bar, and "BIOS Revision A03". The progress bar fills from left to right and restarts the process in a perpetual loop. When I power the system off the on; the first boot cycle seems to take a lot longer for the progress to fill, but after that it loops with the progress bar filling quickly.
The system no longer responds to the F8 key being depressed during start-up. Consequently, I can not repeat the "Restore to factory settings" process.
I have tried to boot the system several times with the same results. When I press F12 during and get "boot options" choosing "Internal Hard Drive" or "Onboard NIC" makes no difference. When I run the diagnostics option from the F12 screen; the system displays the heading: "Pre-boot System Assessment Build 4106" and passes all tests.
It appears to me that the recovery to factory settings routine has in some way damaged the system. It had been working fine before the procedure and hangs during boot afterward. I would appeciate any advise on how to get the system back into proper operating condition with the factory settings restored.

Inspiron 14 N4050 - Cooler isn't working

Recently I noticed that my notebook started to superheat reaching temperatures like 80-100ºC.
I looked to my cooler and it isn't working.
Then I ran the diagonosis and got the following error: Error Code 2000-0511
I've already updated my BIOS and it didn't help my situation.

Hi. My laptop is stolen from my home last night. the police ask me to provide them the service tag. Owners manual referenced by my service tag is inaccurate. Removing base cover exposes a glimpse of the CMOS battery, but there is no way to access it to remove it. Help!

All Downloads Eventually Slow to a Stop
Not sure if this is the right place to post this or not, but I've run into a problem where every file I download will start normally, then slow to a stop (0 kB/s), and never start back up or continue. Depending on the internet's download speed, this makes it impossible to download files larger than 25-50 MB. This problem has persisted on four different networks and in both Google Chrome and Internet Explorer, so I've determined it's neither a network nor a browser issue. It started where it would only affect about 75% of downloaded files, but now it affects every single one. Although, I can still download large amounts of data through other sources (I downloaded a 25 GB game on Steam with no problem). Any help to fix this problem would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Touchpad not working
My touchpad is not working. I have just recently bought inspiron 3542 . Device manager shows error on i2c hid device . I have tried checking windows update for the latest driver and also tried uninstalling and reinstalling the driver.
