When I try to open my camera using Dell Web Cam Manager I get a response that it can't open the camera because the camera is being used by another program. It tells me to turn off the other program and try again. I don't know that the camera is being used by another program and I don't know how to turn it off if it is.
Any help or suggestions.

HI, I have a problem with my Latitude D 400, it recently started to become slow to the point where I cant work with the computer. I tried to re-install windows xp with the recovery drive on the computer but it says that the drive is corrupt. The computer does not have a cd reader so I cant intall a cd. Also, I did not get the recovery disk. How could I install a fresh windows xp?

I want to replace HORRIBLE glossy screen for matte one, does anybody know what is technical part number for it? Who is producing that, LG Philips, AU Optronics, Samsung or Other company.?
I dont want to know trade name such as : " screen for dell 15,6 matte" i want to know service model name and i will start looking for equivalent for that. This code is hidden in laptop lid inside ( on backside of LCD panel) but i dont want to open / remove all parts, screws before pucharse. Open Sesame, can anybody tell the secret?

XPS 15 9530 screen blacks out for split second after I have been using the system for 15-20 minutes. Sometimes the screens comes back properly and then I may get a second blackout shortly after the 1st one. The second one the screen may not reload completely I then have to restart the computer to restore. Sometime this happens when playing games on Facebook. I have reloaded the drivers multiple times I have run diagnostics but they come back clean. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I have the Dell (non-touch) Inspiron 15 3531 in which I have no option to do the edge scroll. I've taken these steps previously recommended by Dell:
"Please update the touchpad drivers on the system for issue resolution. Please enter your service tag # on the link below and click on ‘Get drivers and downloads’ then download the touchpad driver from‘Mouse, Keyboard & Input Devices’ section onto the system and install it.
Please follow the steps below to enable the Edge scroll.
But still have no luck! What can be done to fix this issue?

I have a Inspiron 15 3537 laptop and I noticed that I can hear a high pitched noise where the Memory/hard drive are located. That noise is louder when I put the battery mode on "battery saving", but I still can hear that noise when the battery mode is set to other mode than that. Please note that I switched my hard drive with a SSD, because I thought that it come from here.
My laptop is still on warranty, I bought it recently (July 2014)
I know that there are posts with this issus, but I haven't found a solution yet.
Also, on an other subjet, is it normal that my battery already lost 10% of its capacity after only 5 month of use?

Why cannot I get to my downloads from the tab on MY Account page? Once my warranty expires am I no longer able to get to my factory installed downloads if I need to re install? When I click on My Downloads it goes to a My downloads general page, asks me to agree to terms, and register. If I click register, it starts connecting then stops and returns to the general page. Help.
I had a problem with my old windows vista, and cannot restart windows. I put in a brand new 500hd. The windows 7 goes through the whole install procedure, but the last step "completing installation", it does not complete, but locks up. I have tried several times, and even removed the cd before the final restart, to have it search the HD for start-up soft ware, as I have read, but nothing works. Please help, if you can. I'm at my wit's end..........

Yesterday, my laptop stopped recognizing the ac adapter. It's been functioning fine until now. Now, it will not charge the battery and I can only use my computer with the cord. I purchased in late 2011 or early 2012.
Have read other dell model posts that suggest replacing the adapter, battery, updating BIOS, etc. Haven't seen anything related to my model.
What steps do I take to fix this? Thank you for your help :)

I have laptop dell inspiron 15z 5523 and I have big problem with my touchpad. From time to time when I use touchpad cursor of mouse start jumping, randomly clicking etc.
I tried to reinstall drivers, actualize drivers, remove drivers, search at forums, etc. and nothing helps.
I have windows 8.1 installed.

I have a d820 with A05 BIOS I'd like to update. I bought this used, with a blank harddrive, it was originally Win XP. Rather than overpay for another windows that would be obsolete by the time I installed it I decided to go to Linux. My question is, How to go about updating the bios with a Linux Mint OS (The instructions say use a dos boot floppydisk) if I have no floppy disk drive.
