I upgrade Dell Inspiron 6000 to Windows 8.1, almost every Driver is ok, but only this Driver could not be installed (Mobile Intel ® 915GM/GMS, 910gml express chipset family), I have try everything but not succeed, is there any Driver similar that could compatibility with Dell 6000, I'll be appreciate for you please?

Dell Inspiron 3521 won't boot, beeps.
Hello, I have a Dell laptop Inspiron 3521 bought 18 months ago. I used it just a few times at first. Battery is OK.
Now I try to use it but it doesn't boot,The fan starts to run then the laptop shuts down right away (screen stay black), then there is a regular beep (more like "tap") every 2 or 3 seconds approx. Last time after 21 sounds I long pressed the start button to stop it.
As I have another Inspiron 3521 which works, I changed the hard drive.....same problem.
It has been in my car when I moved, maybe it got hit, I don't know.
Could it be the coin-cell battery?

Have fan problem. Has run intermittintly.
Doing diagnostic using Fn and power up screen gave err msg 2000-8010.
BIOS is 2.5.2 Revised.

e7440 can't install d5000 dock driver
Hi,
I'm trying to connect my e7440 to my d5000 WiGig docking station.
Q1. How do i even know that my laptop has WiGig and supports this docking station? It's an e7440 (Mid 2013).
Q2. How do I install the driver?
When I try to install the driver Network_Driver_DPGKX_WN_10.0.0.268_A01.EXE
i get this error:
Of course, I cant install the application since the driver fails:
Network_Application_9D41C_WN_1.8.5.1280_A03.EXE
Have tried with
OS info:
Ethernet, WiFi and bluetooth is working on the computer. Can't see a WiGig icon i system tray.
Do I need to uninstall something to be able to install this? Please advice as thoroughly as possible.

I have a B.S.E. in Computer Science but it doesn't help in this case, which is why I turn to the dell experts here over at the forum. Any ideas?

My laptop ferquently freezes, i have to restart it by removing battery or by holding the power button. It functions normally till suddenly for no reason it freezes. If you have any explanation n suggestions plz share.

M4800 - avoid the QHD+ panel!
Boy, I wish someone would have posted this before I bought my new M4800 to replace my old M4700.
I went for the Win 7 and QHD+ combo. When it arrived it is very clear that Windows 7 is not up to the job of supporting the QHD resolution. OK, I used the 8.1 disk and reinstalled the system and got it going decently. Optimus is not supported on the nVidia card so battery life is horrible compared to my old M4700 (also i7 version).
Major issue with how Windows 8.1 supports monitors connected to the docking station. Constant insert/remove cycles and logout/login is required when docking and undocking to get correct scaling and resolution. With the M4700 everything was seamless. I use an 1920x1200 external 24" Samsung and with the M4700 the internal screen was 1920x1080 and Windows 7 worked decently.
PWM issues with the panel running in native resolution as well making me really regret the extra money put on the machine.
Lesson learned!

My laptop wont start!
Hi
My dell xps L502x turned off suddenly and now wont start at all. On pressing the power button, its light blinks once so does the light of the CD rom blinks just once thats it, no display, no keyboard lights, just the blinking of the power button and cd rom!
Please guide me about this problem, is it about the hard disk or my motherboard or the memory modules, or the graphic card???

Dell Inspiron 3520 issue
Hey everyone. My Dell Inspiron 3520 laptop that runs Windows 8 (not 8.1) is having a problem where the screen will go completely white and vertical lines will form. Sometimes, I can use it for a little amount of time before this happens and I have to shut it off. I might end up taking it to a support place, but before I do so, I just wanted to know if anyone on here may have a solution. This happened with my last dell laptop, so I ended up just getting a new one, but I want to try and fix it this time. Also, I guess I should say just as an additional piece of information, my computer battery has been lost for about a year, so obviously, my computer has not been charged for quite some time. Could that have anything to do with it?

Usb 3.0 not working
i am using dell vostro 3546. After updating bios , usb 3.0 stopped working. Now reverting back changes is not working. it is prompting message that you cannot install the lower version of bios. Will you please suggest me an appropriate solution for this problem?

Intel Mobile Express Chipset SATA RAID Controller (iastora.sys) corrupt on boot
Running a Dell Latitude E7440 on EFI + SecureBoot + Windows 8.1 + BitLocker and I randomly get start-up issues where the OS is flagging iastora.sys as corrupt. With no action taken I can choose to continue to boot through to Windows and it works fine. It doesn't happen every boot, but when it does the SrtTrail.txt log file contains:

Dell Inspirpn N5050 freezes at black screen with arrow.
Hello All. My Dell Inspiro N5050 is having a few troubles. It was running absloulty fine yesterday and now when I power up, it sticks just before the logon page at just the black screen with the mouse. It even does the same if I try to start it in safe mode. I have run a BIOS which comes back clean. Have also tried the power off and hold the on button for 20 seconds but alas, the problem. I'm unable to do a system restore and cannot find the optipn for a factory restore. Any help will be appreciated.

audio issues
PLEASE HELP!!! MY INSPIRON 17 3721 LAPTOP IS HAVING AUDIO ISSUES. WHEN I WATCH VIDEO'S ON HULU, NETFLIX, ETC. THE SOUND GETS STATICKY, DISTORTED AND THEN I PAUSE IT AND IT CLEARS UP FOR A FEW MINUTES THEN IT MESSES UP AGAIN. MY COMPUTER ISN'T EVEN A YEAR OLD AND IT WILL COST 90$ TO GET DELL'S HELP. display distortion, vertical and horizontal lines in photos!

I have a dell Inspiron n5010 laptop and use it for personal works and photo editing as a photographer. when I watch a picture, in some specific zoom levels there are weird vertical and horizontal lines witch create many regular squares in the picture. it's not matter what software display it for me (it happens in every photo browsers I have and even in firefox)
here you can see them (this picture is taken by Prntscr Button):
here you can see that little squares witch is annoying for me as a photographer! these squares goes away if i zoom in more!
but some times squares are bigger like this: (same photo)
as you can see it looks like some sort of distortion!
and here you can see the same photo when it is displayed normally:
my own guess is some sort of GPU problem!
what I should do to get rid of these squares?

Laptop doesn't start up after motherboard replacement of Inspiron 1720
My Inspiron 1720 was not powering. I brought it to the store to replace the power jack and the problem was the same. I bought a motherboard from Dell and I installed it myself. Now, the laptop is not starting up, there is a black screen. My motherboard has a 90 days warranty. I called Dell support and it has been a horrible experience, I was transferred several times from "In warranty" support to "Out of warranty" support and vice versa, several times. I spent 2 hours on the phone without being helped. The confusion between them came because my laptop was out of warranty but I had a 90 days warranty on the Dell motherboard that I bought. So I decided to write on this forum.
I think I followed well the installation instructions. I have a small doubt though. On page 20 of 68, it says: "NOTE: If a new processor is installed, you will receive a new thermal-cooling assembly, which will include an affixed thermal pad, or you will receive a new thermal pad along with a tech sheet to illustrate proper installation.".
I didn't use a thermal pad because I didn't install a new processor, I used the processor from my old motherboard. Was I right?
If I was wrong, what should I buy? Can you give me the instructions on how to use a thermal pad?

Bluetooth causes streaming buffering when Oontz speaker connected.
I have an Inspiron 15 3000 with Windows 8.1. I bought an Oontz Bluetooth speaker because the speakers in the laptop are lousy. I have no problem pairing and connecting, but then I start having frequent buffering when streaming and it makes listening impossible.
is there some setting in the Dell Wireless 1705 802.1 1b/g/n (2.4GHZ) prperties that need to be changed? The speaker works fine when plugged in, but useless when connected wirelessly.

Dell Inspiron 15z
My touchpad doesn't work but the buttons are working fine. It also clicks randomly (not with the left or right mouse buttons) so I have to disable it. I have installed the latest version of the Synaptic driver and the problem still persists. I think only the touchpad is having a problem because when I use a wireless mouse, it works fine.
