I am having dell studio 1569 laptop and It is not charging the battery.Whenever i connect charger to laptop,charger shut off automatically.But by taking battery out and connecting it with charger, it works normally.I have replaced battery and also charger but i didnot worked with it. I had showed it to repairer but he was unable to recognize its problem.Can anyone help me

Ноутбук Dell Latitude E6230.
Суть проблемы заключается в следующем: если у вас стоит пароль администратора в винде, вы ставите приложение защиты Dell Data Protection Security Tool и в нем меняете пароль администратора винды, то это приводит к внутреннему конфликту софта и операционной системы.
Вот и у меня так получилось: я настроил DDP ST, заменил в нем пароль администратора, настроил шифрование, включил Pre-Windows.
Затем выключил ноутбук, включил и в окне Pre-Windows ввел логин и новый пароль - система мне ответила, что пароль не верный. Я подумал, что опечатался при вводе пароля, ввел его заново - во второй раз система мне вновь ответила, что пароль не верный. После этого, я ввел пароль в третий раз, уже медленно, по буковкам и циферкам - система мне вновь ответила что пароль не верный, более того, я получил полную блокировку! То есть я не могу ни логин ввести, ни пароль, ни в опции войти, вообще ничего!
Система заблокировалась после 3-х попыток ввода пароля, в то же время, в настройках DDP ST было по умолчанию: разрешено юзерам 8 раз не верно вводить пароль, а администраторам 20.
Сперва я решил подождать 10 минут, думал отвиснет - фига с два!
Выключил ноутбук зажатием кнопки Power, включи вновь в надежде, что смогу вновь попробовать - нифига! Выдает надпись на голубом экране: Device is locked. Contact You Administrator.
После этого немного погуглив и найдя вышеуказанные две ссылки понял примерно в чем дело, позвонил в техподдержку Dell по номеру 8 10 800 215 61 044 описал подробно проблему, на это мне сотрудник техподдержки ответил, что Российская техподдержка занимается только аппаратными проблемами и не занимается софтверными, после чего вежливо послали на Dell Community.
На данный момент у меня на руках заблокированный ноутбук и флешка с копией ключа шифрования. Мне необходимо решение проблемы. Ввиду отсутствия в открытом доступе документации по решению данной проблемы, прошу прислать ее мне на адрес электронной почты, либо продиктовать по телефону.

I have got my xps 15 a week ago or so. Since the first day I keep on facing troubles with the wifi and USB connectivity. The wifi is dropping all the time, or even worse, the laptop doesn't see the available connections. Apart from that, all USB ports do not work with most of my devices, by not working I mean that the laptop itself keeps connecting and disconnecting my devices.
Bluetooth also doesn't work correctly: I cannot connect my headphones via Bluetooth.
I really need to use the laptop at its full capacity as soon as possible.
Hope, that it is possible to fix the issues without sending the laptop back to Dell.

I turned on my laptop in the morning then switched it off normally. It's a N5537 Dell Core i7 . After 30 minutes i turned it on again but its like completely dead. I bought it recently on February.
I removed the adapter, the battery everything. Still it is not working.

Dell Inspiron 15Z model 5523 laptop less than 2 years old. Locked up during a Windows update. Refreshed it and lost all my programs. Downloaded Firefox accidentally from a bad site and it was bundled with malware. So I refreshed the laptop again. Had everything working and then later that day it just quit. Locked up and when I rebooted, it said no hard drive could be found. I have a new hard drive and someone who can replace it for me, but how do I get my Windows 8 (paid for with the computer) and a boot disk from Dell? Thanks!
Why is the i7 version of the XPS 13 developer edition not for sale in Canada? As a developer, I want the machine with the higher specifications but you are only selling the i5 version.
When I boot my Inspirion laptop, an error box pops up that says "can't find plugins". The only option is to click "Okay" and the message goes away. It is a system message because there is a 'dell' icon on the toolbar when it's showing. I have checked the registry for errors, removed unneeded software, run anti virus and anti malware programs and the message still appears every time I start the computer. Does anybody know what could cause this?
I have some systems, that no matter what I do, they will not boot from the Onboard NIC. I hit F12, and checked the BIOS, and I see that it is at Version A16. I also saw that UEFI was enabled, I have disabled that and made everything Legacy. No matter what I do, I cannot get many of these systems to boot off of the OnBoard NIC. We are using SCCM, and some systems DO work, but for the most part I have to end up running an image from bootable CD and External HD. PXE is enabled.

So, I just got the Inspiron 7000 series, 17-inch laptop about a month ago. I now have it configured exactly how I want it along with the Windows 8.1 update. I plan on upgrading the current HDD to a Samsung - 840 EVO 250GB Internal Serial ATA III Solid State Drive.
QUESTION: What would be the best method for cloning my existing HDD and installing it on the new SSD (I do not want to recover from a USB or DVDs and go through the whole configuration process again.)
My current plan is:
As I stated above, I do not want to go through a recovery process with the new SSD and spend another half-day configuring and downloading updates, but would prefer to bypass this and do a clone instead.
I think I read somewhere that doing it this way may not make the SSD bootable, so that is why I am posting the question here.

I have a fairly new dell inspion 3421 running windows 7,64 bit. Recently I have been facing a very annoying issue that my laptop does not shut down completely. When I shut it down, it logs off screen goes black and still the fan is running and the front power light LED is on. I have to long press to power button to completely turn it off.
The same happens even in case I out the laptop to sleep or hibernate. It is very annoying to long press everytime. Anyone can please help on this issue. Thanks in advance !

WHAT CARD SHOULD I INSTALL TO MY INSPIRON 1545 SO I CAN HAVE WIFI DIRECT?
Would it be possible to upgrade the L701X motherboard by replacing it with the L702X motherboard? Any compatibility issues I would be facing? I am using some software that recommends a NVIDIA GeForce GT 550 or better. I think the L701X motherboard has a soldered NVIDIA GeForce GT 435M. I know I simply can't replace the video card by itself in this case.

Just found battery contacts have only connection on one side of slots on battery that contact pins on motherboard. Use flashlight to determine side of battery slot contacts that have the fingers that contact the motherboard connector. Gently bend contacts on computer connector to make them contact battery tighter and that will solve the cutout power down issue. Don't bend them too radically. When transporting laptop remove battery pack to prevent stress on connector contacts as battery pack is heavy enough to bend and loosen contact.

Hi I had Windows 7 on Inspiron E1505, it was getting slow So I installed clean Windows 8.1.
But even after installing Windows 8.1 I see sometimes CPU usage go over 90%. But CPU and Disk usage come back to around 50% after sometime. I see usage shoots to 90% when I open new tab in chrome or IE.
Most of the CPU and Disk is used by Chrome, System, Service Host: Local Services / Network Restricated.
Is this normal behavior?
I also feel like its getting overheated, I cleaned fan though.
