Dell support replaced the display, after describing the issues like backlight bleeding, ghosting and gradient banding. I appreciate dell for that.
But the 2nd display also has backlight bleeding(more than previous one) and gradient banding.

Dell XPS M1330 No Power
Ok, I just replaced the motherboard for this unit and it works sometimes and sometimes it doesn't here is what happens now. I press the power button and nothing happens except the Bluetooth blue led comes on and then back off. That's it. Any ideas?

Dell Studio XPS 1640 motherboard
Hi~ I have a Dell Studio XPS 1640 laptop purchased in 2008. Was just told by a local computer repair shop that the motherboard needs replaced but it wasn't cost efficient to do so and there would be no warranty. What are the chances of me doing this myself? I can be moderately techno savvy and would like to attempt this. And does anyone know the part number and where to buy one? Thanks in advance. So sad, loved my laptop.
P.S. this was AFTER I just purchased a new battery, new keyboard and upgraded to Windows 7 at their suggestion. :( :(

WiFi card Intel 7260 (laptop) - replacement options - Vostro 5470 wifi problem
I got last week a Vostro 5470 laptop, I love it so far, excepto for one thing, the WIFI Carda (adapter) is terrible. I cannot even watch a movie on netflix properly, nor stream a video.

It´s been suggested that the problem wont go away, no matter what, and that a wifi adapter replacement is the only way, but being this a laptop wifi card, the form factor can be a problem.
Has anyone requested dell to change the WiFi adapter?
Has anyone replaced it in a Vostro 5470 sucesfully? If so, to which wifi card model?
Any help would be appreciated!

My laptop keeps freezing when i turn it on
Hi
lately i got a very strange laptop issue, i was playing and i was playing that game for one year in my laptop, but in 11th-Oct and strange problem occurred to my laptop my screen was filled with green dots and i wasn't able to move my mice or type any thing in keyboard *freezes* the screen continued working with showing the green dots with the same image the mean it also freeze.
i just hold the power button and i turned my laptop off and when i turn the laptop on the problem occurred to me when i tried to run the game, there were no green dots this time only freezing, i even tried to turn CAPS lock on or off to see if it respond but it didn't, the screen is freezed but it keeps working also i can hear the CPU fan working, i contacted DELL support and they told me to make a diagnostic test for my laptop to seek any hardware issues but i did the test over and over again without any problems in the hardware, so i made a recovery for my laptop to the factory image and when i did that every time i turn on my laptop and when my windows loads the problem occur without even doing anything.
i also tried cleaning programs and sfc /scannow command in command prompt with the Adminstrator premission, but as i mentioned i did a full recovery to my laptop.
i am sorry for too much talking but i really need help since the DELL support didn't helped me enough and i really want to know if it's a hardware or software problem and i am sorry if there is grammar mistakes
my laptop is inspiron 7520
Intel core i7 2.10 GHz
8 GB RAM
1 TB hard drive
2 GB video card, AMD 7330M ( i am not sure about the version)

Inspiron with Core i7-4510u VT-x and VT-x EPT supported for virtualization?
According to Intel these features are "Vendor dependant" I've now spent 3 hours on the phone with likely every corner of the earth that has Dell people answering phones. Dropped my call 3 times, transferred me over a dozen times still no answer. Does anyone know if these two features are supported for the Dell Inspiron 17 series notebooks?

E7440 Integrated display and usb adapters turn off when docked
We have multiple E7440 laptops for our environment.
One of them however seems to have a docking issue. Laptop works great, but when you dock it, the display goes blank, and nothing shows on external displays connected to the dock.
I have updated to the newest display driver, and flashed the bios (A10), I have also set trackpad/mouse to ps2 only in the BIOS. I have even done a full OS reinstall and tried fresh.
If I plug in USB graphics adapters into the laptop, the display properly replicates/extends to the other monitors. If I dock the laptop, the integrated and usb adapter monitors go black.
If I plug the USB graphics adapters into the dock, no change.
I have tried VGA, DisplayPort, and DVI cables on the dock, different monitors, and different cables.
I have tried docking the laptop into multiple docks with no change.
Is it a problem with the docking port on the underside of the laptop?

Dell Inspiron N5050 Hard Drive not Recognized
I recently turned on my Dell Inspirion N5050 with Windows 7 Home Premium and received a several codes on a black screen:
"PXE-E61: Media test failure, check cable
PXE-M0F: Exiting PXE ROM
Reboot and Select proper Boot device or insert boot media and press key."
Pressing any key just causes a loop where the same screen appears.
Any ideas what is wrong and how to fix it?

Ethernet Port Not Working on Docking Station
I have a Dell e5540 with matching docking station ( Dell E-Port II). Ethernet signal and internet connection will work going directly into the computer, but will not work when plugged into the docking station. I have gone at lengths to get a new docking station, and it still does not work. I have spent several hours on the phone with dell customer support and have not received any resolve to this issue. Do you have any suggestions?

DelIi nspirion Laptop System Disabled
can someone please help me I own a Dell Inspirion 15 laptop the only thing I can do is f2 and f12 for boot but I also get a blank screen that reads system disabled with a bunch of numbers and letters along with my service tag can anyone please help me what does this mean I was supposed to take a test for job and now the computer failed on me

Dell System Detect
I have tried hundreds of times to install the Dell System Detect. I have downloaded it numerous times. It finally installed today. But still the same message "Application cannot startI. I cannot even get system to recognize my express service tag and service code. It does automatically print my express service tag.
MyDell always tells me I have windows update disabled, but it is enabled in my control panel. I finally did get some updates run today, but after it STILL says it is disabled. Thi.is driving me nuts! I have a legitimate system - Inspiron 3521 laptop with windows 8.1. The warranty is expired, but it should still recognize my service tag and service code. I don't know how else to enable windows updates.
Please help! I couldnot even send Dell an email. since it does not recognize my service tag and code.

Hi,
I try to configure the system password through CCTK, with the following commands:
cctk.exe --syspwd=dell
when I boot the laptop after setting the passwords, the laptop prompts for the system password. When I fill in 'dell', the password is not accepted.
