I bought an Inspiron 15 7000 series about a week ago. From the very beginning, the wifi is not working properly. It takes too much time to connect and also disconnects automatically frequently. Sometimes it shows only limited connectivity. I have updated the drivers but no change so far. All other devices in home are working properly. Thank you in advance for your support.

Replacing Dell Inspiron N5110 motherboard

I hope someone can help me.
I have a Dell Inspiron N5110, service tag <Admin Note: removed per privacy policy~RK> Express Service Code <Admin Note: removed per privacy policy~RK>, which developed a faulty motherboard, it was not charging and on testing I determined that the charging circuit was faulty, possibly PU4003.
The board is DP/N 0G8RW1 CN-0G8RW1-70166-16J-08YN-A01
I have replaced the board twice with two boards which where not the EXACT same board, eg one was 0VVN1W but the seller assured me that it was compatible. Neither of these boards worked and both gave me a 3 beep error code on booting up.
Is there something else I am suppose to do when replacing a motherboard on top of simply replacing it, eg resetting BIOS or something similar.
I don't understand why the two SIMILAR boards would not at least POST, unless of course they where simply faulty as well.

Dell inspiron 7437 LCD Cable-Hinge Needed.
Hello. I bought my inspiron 7437 4 days ago, and while tampering with the interior, (was trying to check about the lcd cable and propable upgrade from hd to FHD since my laptop came with the low HD screen) i broke the lcd connector (the one connecting on the motherboard). So i am now desperate to find a replacement lcd cable, and from what i have found there are no spare parts online. I need the LEFT HINGE with the LCD cable since it seems that they go together. I will try to contact dell support in Greece on monday morning, but till then, since i am frustrated with the disaster, any help or information would be really appreciated. Thanks,.

Dell Inspiron 3520 does not start after Windows 8.1 update
I have a DELL Inspiron 3520 that has Automatic Updates turned ON. Last night, I got a message stating Windows 8.1 will be installed in 1 hour. This morning, looks like the update has finished but my laptop is sitting at a blue scree with message "your pc ran into a problem and needs to restart".. it restarts, comes back to the same screen. Its in a loop. I tried system recovery/restore, using all function keys to bring up the Dell System Recovery screen but no matter what I do, I land up on the same blue screen. Its frustrating at this point. What should I do to get back my laptop working again

Inspiron 15 3521 Randomly Shutting Down
I bought a 3521 in September of 2013. About 5 months ago it started shutting down randomly every 15-20 minutes. I'm running Windows 7 Ultimate. Please tell me what I should do.

Enabling BIOS settings for Hyper-V Inspiron 3521?
First of all, my specs:
- Intel Core I5-3337U 1.80GHz
- 4GB ram
- Intel HD 4000 & ATI Radeon HD 7670M
- Windows 8.1 PRO
I want to use Hyper-V to emulate windows phone 8 because I'm using my laptop to develop software for it. My problem is that I can't use Windows Phone 8 emulator because of BIOS restrictions. I have checked Hyper-V in system settings and I have checked that my processor supports EPT which is needed for Hyper-V.
My problem is that I can't enable virtualization in BIOS. Is there any way to modify my BIOS that I can enable the setting or is there a way to enable it?

Dell E7440 and Contactless Smart Card Reader errors

I have E7440 with Contactless Smart Card Reader (NFC) and I wanted to make it work with Dell Security. So far no luck. Every time I try to read NFC (credit card or Nexus 5) i get a lot of errors in Event Viewer:
Starts with this one below three times:

Inspiron 15r SE 7520 overheating after motherboard change while gaming only

I recently changed the motherboard of my inspiron 15r because the other one was short circuit and the new one is all good but while gaming the cpu temperature goes really high from idle temp of ~40 degrees Celsius to 75~80 degree Celsius.it is also causing my hdd to heat up to 55 degrees and higher.
Before there were some blue thermal pads on the cpu, gpu and some chip dies around cpu but now I used thermal compound instead. So I am guessing heat sink is not touching the cpu and gpu properly because of the gap.
Anyone have any experience with such problems?
there were 6 thermal pads i guess 
but i am not sure what size do i need to buy for this, of what thickness. how to measure the required thickness?
i am thinking to order this one http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/131149261102 but which size should i order?
i am also worried if any of these touch the circuit, that may damage it

grey screen with horizontal lines.
Can anyone help me to short out the problem with my vostro 3750 with windows 8 as I touch my touch pad some times my screen shows grey screen with horizontal lines and after some times it becomes normal but it happens frequently from the time I updated to windows 8 even I run the screen test by pressing key 'D'. its shows all color perfectly. I even upgrade the video drivers and chipset drivers. help me to solve this.

My Inspiron N5110 hanged and freezed.
Hi all,
would like to know solutions for my laptop problem. bought in 2011 and so far so good until 2 days ago it suddenly become hanged and freeze. I cant use the Alt+Tab or Alt+Cntrl+Delete. The only way is to force shut down by pressing and holding power button. And noticed that after it hanged, the laptop become hotter for no reason (the fans will start become noisy exactly after it hanged)
So anyone here knows what the problem and way to solve it. as we speak, i think my laptop will hang anytime soon by now [:'(]

video drive issue for Inspiron I5 3521 32 bit
Hi,
My laptop is Inspiron I5 (3521 32 bit, late 2012), recently I reboot my lap top because of wires issue, after that I have downloaded all required drivers and installed, all drivers working fine except video drive, I am not able to see HD videos properly. I have tried below drives.
Video_Driver_VHY54_WN_9.0.12.1_A03,
Video_Driver_DY8P8_WN_8.982.6.0_A02,
Video_Driver_8R603_WN_9.17.10.2867_A03.
When I tried Intel driver, it shows that your system is not meeting the requirement.
AMD driver successfully installed, however still the same issue with videos, no graphics.
Which video driver would suitable for Inspiron I5 3521 32 bit?

Inspiron N7110 Operation System not found
I need some help please.
My laptop did what is called "bluescreen" and closed down, however when I turned it back on it said " Operation Systen not found " I then pressed enter and that put me into the boot menu, I then used the down arrow key to hard drive and pressed entre, same again OS not found, I the put my recovery disk in and windows files are loaded from CD and starts " Dell DataSafe Local Backup " in the welcome screen I have two opp's 1 Restore my computer 2 Factory Recovery, which DELETES data & resets all partitions,
I did opp 1, I have a " Factory Image with date and time, and clicked next,
What I have now is a warnig sign that say's " your hard drive is not supported for this process. Pleas use a hard drive at least GB in size " .

XPS18 discharging faster when off than on!
Hi
Of an evening, I can work on my XPS 18 (i7) for 5 hours no problem at all on a single charge.
But at 8:50am I shut it down, pull the power cord, turn off the mouse and keyboard and put it in my van. by 12:30, thats under 4 hours shut down completely, I come to use it to work on my own projects at lunchtime and the battery is fully discharged - saying 'please connect a Dell AC adapter'.
First I thought it was the keyboard or mouse doing it. Not so.
WHAT IS GOING ON? I bought this machine as a portable all in one, this sucks big time and it so far not fit for purpose.
Is there some energy thing keeping it alive? If so what is it and why is it even there??

Can't pass memory test
Hi,mine is a dell 17r inspiron 5720,8gb ram,1tb hdd and since 15 days it was showing many bsod(like unexpected kernel mode trap,memory management error etc),,hanged,,lapi screen blurred and freezed until i manually poweroff.
Now when i tried diagnostic at start up,,mine all tests passed except few memoy tests.During some memory test ,the screen became blurred and hanged up for long time until i manually poweroff.Sometimes it gives beep sounds too ,,after some time it starts as it is.What does this mean??Does my hdd/ram need to be replaced or it is possible that they are misplaced!!(last month i had ram displaced hence giving beep sound and i placed properly)
Help will be great,,pls reply asap,,thnx in advance
