Got this laptop just yesterday in the mail and it's great. Just at random times towards the top of the screen touch points will appear as if I'm touch the screen and interferes with what I'm doing because it actually acts as a click or touch. Is there a fix?

Dell Vostro 3300 Windows is Restarting Constantly
Hi there,i own a Dell Vostro 3300 and i had this problem a while ago and just put my laptop aside and got a new one,but whats happening is when i start the computer its fine, only as a desktop though,whenever i try to go to computer,control panel,anywhere that isn't the desktop a little box opens and says windows is restarting, meaning windows explorer,and i have tried going into F2 and trying to go to optimal setting and such and it doesn't work,if anyone can help me fix this i would be very grateful

Dell XPS 12 Issues
Hello, I recently bought a DELL XPS 12 9Q33.
I am facing alot of issues with it. I'm gonna list them, If there's any other user who might've a solution or a DELL experienced user.
1. If I enable Secure Boot. It doesn't detect my SSD. When i disable Secure Boot, It detects the SSD Works okay. What seems to be the issue here? I've installed the Windows 8.1 in UEFI.
2. Sound, whenever I play some songs, in some songs, it starts this electrifying sounds or skips a part or make some weird noises. any solutions? I've installed the drivers provided by dell.
3. I can't update BIOS! It's currently running A05, whenever I try to update it to A06 (download link is given on products driver download page) as soon as I download the driver & click on it. The whole system just freezes & that's it.

M17 wont boot windows, error 0cx000021a and BSOD
Hi,
My sons fairly new (mid 2013) Alienware M17, windows 8.1 suddenly stopped booting up.
it locks into a loop of displaying an error message and restarting itself.
I checked BIOS, and it shows up the correct 2 hard-disks (normal one and a solid state one).
When I use a command prompt to open notepad - in order to try save his key files before a refresh/re-install then only drive x (very small?) is listed - no C, no partition.
When I used BIOS to set it to boot from CD, it will go to the install or repair, but when I try to refresh it says the drive with windows is locked (is this referring to the CD?).
When I try re-install windows from the DVD (which came with the laptop) it tells me the computer booted from CD, I need to to remove the cd and reboot - which takes me back to square one, it cant boot.
He tells me now that he didnt create a respawn disk. To be able to fix it at all would be great, to be able to save a few files before any wipe would be perfect.
Just before the problem started, he did install a new game, from steam (not a pirate or torrent).
Any help would be great :)

Inspiron 17R 7720 won't power on
Almost everytime I try to turn on my laptop it won't start. The power led doesn't turn on and the screen is black, but the USB ports have power. I know this because I have a cooling pad connected to one of the USB ports. To power up my laptop I have to remove the power cord and battery, then plug in at least one of them and try to press the power button again. Sometimes it works the first time but usually I have to unplug and plug in a power source (battery/cable) several times before the laptop turns on. Can someone please help me fix this?

Inspiron 7000 (7537) WiFi acts as if disabled, toggle greyed out
I cannot figure out what is wrong with my Dell Inspiron 7000 (7537). Whenever I boot it up, the wifi connects and acts just fine until about 20 seconds after I log in, at which point the icon in the notification area gets a red x and it isn't connected to the internet. I click on it, and it brings up the side panel in windows 8 with networking options. The toggle for Wifi is greyed out. It's very strange, as airplaine mode is turned off. There is no wifi switch on my computer, and I've tried toggling airplane mode off and on. I have also done a full factory reset, and installed the latest wifi drivers from the dell site. Any ideas? It was working just fine about 3 days ago.

Bricked Inspiron E6400 after bios update
Hi,
I unfortunatly tried to update the bios of an E6400 from version A20 to A34 and i got an error message at the end of the process. When i restarted the notebook, i got a black screen.
Is there a way to force install a new bios from a CD or a usb stick ? I tried the method of extracting the hdr and rom file from the exe and restart while holding the END key without success. Is there a solution other than replacing the main board ?

I work for a refurbisher that images retired assets for Dell via MAR (Microsoft Authorized Refurbisher)
Been imaging and loading pc's and laptops for a long time but find this particular model incredibly hard to find the correct driver for.
These are 13" L321X model number. I have tried every driver from the dell website, even tried the cab etc.
I cannot proceed with the image install without these drivers HELP PLEASE!

N5110 driver update
I was prompted to update my drivers when I visited the support centre for a diagnistic and it's been a nightmare ever since I started my pc after installing all the recommended files.
In particular, the biggest issue seems to this file igdpmd64.sys, apparently contained in the following folders HCSHJ and R314903, which I take to be video card drivers. Google Chrome freezes upon loading the home page, and IE displays some pages until the monitor crashes with this notice on a blue screen PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA.
I wasn't wise enough to create a recovery point. I have tried reinstalling two drivers concerned, but to no avail. What should I do now?

I've recently had to run a clean install of Win7 x64 on my XPS 501l laptop and would like to reinstall Dell Webcam Central. Incidentally, I'm using Internet Explorer.
I'm searched and found instructions here:

Dell Inspiron 14-5447 not turning on. I AM IN SCHOOL AND I HAVE BLOODY EXAMS
I am so angry right now. This is my second laptop of this model, maybe the first time this happen I could have gone for another brand but I stupidly decided to stay with Dell. I am in school in a foreign country with exams this week. Everything is on my laptop and it refuses to turn on.i remember the last time this happened . How difficult it was to turn on. It never did turn on that's why the store gave me a new one, they said maybe that one was a bad laptop, not because of the brand or model just maybe that one had manufacturer problems. If this is a common thing with your this line of laptops why are they still being made. I am going to try again to see if I can turn this *** on, please someone help me. Returning it would be such a huge hassle for me right now. Even though I do have the manufacturers warranty still. I need an instant solution .

Model 5748 - hardware file install problems from Dell Support website
Hi,
Earlier today, I was working with a Dell tech on Live Chat who told me a bunch of files I saw on the Support page for someone's Model 5748 laptop should be installed as they were updates to the computer. I downloaded all the files then tried to install each one at a time. Three of them failed, I only remember one of them offhand. I then had to do a Restart of the computer, following this I went back to the same Support page and found all the files were still listed. Here are the 2 problems I have now.
1 - Is there a way to tell which of the three failed? With Windows Update, I can tell which update failed but I only remember one of the three that failed from Dell.
2 - Why does the Support website not update to remove hardware updates I have installed?
Really need to know because I still have to do the same for a Model 3847 Desktop.

My hard drive was destroyed/unusable/ DONE. I put in a new clean Hard drive and need help installing the discs. The ones I have are:
Reinstallation DVD- windows Home system 64 bit SP1
Drivers and Utilities
Application
Office Home and System 2007
When I turn on the computer it shows the Dell circle, with notices for F2 and F12 selections ( which most time when I select them nothing happens except a "beep'') then the screen goes blank except for a small blinking line in the upper left hand corner.
I am not very computer literate so i need help on putting these programs with step-by-step directions.
Hopefully some one out there can help me.
