Hola, necesito ayuda. Tengo una Dell xps 15 del 2012, esta prácticamente nueva pues he sido el único dueño y la cuido como oro, estaba funcionando perfectamente y la apague por 2 horas para hacer otras cosas cuando la intente encender, nada, como muerta, no enciede ni da señales de vida, revise todo, cable conector, transformador, conexión electrónica, todo esta perfecto, lo único que no es la laptop que no funciona ni da señales. La garantía ya expiró así que con Dell no puedo hacer nada, hoy la lleve COMPUSA para ver si me dan al menos una esperanza pero el técnico nada mas probarla me quito las pocas esperanzas que tenia, la deje para que la examinarán para al menos saber la causa de muerte pero en verdad es lo mas extraño qué me ha sucedido con una pc. Les agradecería que por favor me compartieran si han tenido una experiencia similar y si alguien a podido recuperar si laptop con vida. Es lo mas frustrante que me a pasado con una pc. Les agradezco su tiempo y respuestas de antemano. Un saludo

My laptop won't boot beyond the dell logo!!!
I have a dell laptop 17 n7010 won't load past the dell logo. I originally had a problem with my battery I bought a new charger yet still received the error message "please us 55w adapter" not sure ... I tried to turn my laptop on and it will only load up until the dell logo, then it turns off and reloads again. What do I do? I ran a diagnostic test on it and received no error codes, did the recommend extended test and got this error code 2000-0142 status 79
pleas tell me I don't need to get a new laptop or hard drive. Any help without having to spend an arm an a leg is appreciated

How to get Hotspot Atheros of dell wireless driver on Dell 3521 Window 8.1
Hi guys, i wonder how to get hotspot in window 8.1,i installed Wireless 1704 hs wifi bluetooth driver, but it wasn't contained Hotspot in Program list, and the same in c:programfilex86/dellwireless/.... I tried to install it on window 7 and it worked, but not work on window 8 and 8.1
When i bought dell 3521 insp 15 with window 8 inside, i had used hotspot by default program on this computer.
So Could you tell me how to install wireless driver containes Hotspot?
and how to create a full system on dell? after i install Window, i went to Dell support page ,download and install driver. and i don't know is it full to get a dell compter? because when i buy this, i saw many program on computer.

Laptop xps l502x won't boot, just the fan turns on, spinning continuously and emitting cold wind.
So I broke my laptop (xps l502x) while traveling. The hinges were broken so I couldn't open or close the lid. Dell has stopped supporting this model so I had to get my own parts and replace it.
After replacing, I realized that the screen turns on but is white and the motherboard beeps 8 times continually.
I realized that was an issue with the lcd connector. I tried to fix the connection.
Now the laptop turned on, booted. But I couldn't see anything on the screen. The screen was lit but displayed nothing, everything was black.
Then I removed the lcd connector and put it back again. This time the laptop doesn't even turn on but fan turns on with a loud spinning sound and emits cold air continuously.
What could be the issue? Please help.

Studio 1555 will not show anything on screen, or boot into windows
Hey everyone, so I was using my laptop last night, nothing high load, just homework, and I put it to sleep. When I woke it back up, the hard drive sounded like it spun up, but the display would not come on. It didn't come on after a hard reset either. I tried hitting the external monitor button to see if maybe it had just switched, but still nothing. Tried plugging in an external monitor, nothing.
It stays on continuously until I hit power for a second, not 10 seconds, so I don't think it's even booting into Windows.
The interesting thing is if I boot it holding D for dell diagnosis, the screen flashes through a number of colors before going blank, so it may not be the display cable, and maybe a lower chance of it being the GPU (could still be it).
Pulled battery and CMOS battery, plus RAM sticks out for an hour, still nothing after.
Ideas?

Not to happy with Dell
I bought Alienware M17x R4 laptop, over the last few weeks I've started getting bluescreen shut-downs, graphics going haywire whilst online gaming and unit gets very hot. Is this normal for a laptop that cost well over £1k and is 18 months old? I'd like to know what can be done to help my situtation?

Dell Vostro 5470 is it have a expandible RAM memory?
Good day, well I was looking for a new laptop so I found this Dell Vostro 5470 laptop (Not the ultrabook), the characteristics seems perfect to me but I was just looking about the hardware and I just find that it have 4GB of RAM memory, so my doubt is, Is it expandible to 6 or 8 GB or it is just 4GB for the maximum capacity?

Inspiron 15R-5521 Will NOT Power On At All
I tried to troubleshoot on my own:
When the power button is pressed, not a sound or light is produced.
When the battery is removed for 30 seconds, replaced and then the power button is pressed, there is nothing; no sound or lights.
When the battery is removed and the adapter is plugged into the computer, there are no lights.
When checked with a multimeter, the ends appear to be moving the appropriate amounts of power.
When checked with a multimeter, the part on the computer where the battery connects showed that it was getting power.
Though, I am not sure if I even used the multimeter correctly on the battery portion...
I opened up the computer and there didn't seem to be anything that looked crazy inside. Though I wouldn't know.
What is wrong with it? I hadn't used it for a couple days, and when I went to do some work and tried to turn it on....
Nothing.
What do I do?

Problems using keyboard in Inspirion 7537
I just recently bought an Inspirion touchscreen laptop and as soon as I began the setup it forced me to use the touchscreen while the regular keyboard was apparently disabled. I thought nothing of it. But now all the setups are finished and I still can't use either my trackpad for the mouse or the normal keyboard. I have tried a lot of things and not one of them seem to work. I would appreciate any response I can get. Thank you!

Broke the plastic connector that holds the DVD ribbon to motherboard
Hello,
I had my new Alienware M14x open and was looking at the DVD drive when I accidentally broke the plastic connector that holds the ribbon cable to the connection on the mother board. It's the connector that holds the zero force insertion (ZFI) on the ribbon cable.
It was a careless act on my part and I accept responsibility.
Is it possible to buy that little plastic connector? I have no part number. I don't use my DVD player at all and was looking at swapping it out for a HDD. In order to do that, I need the connector so the ribbon cable can be connected to the mother board.
Any help would be appreciated.

Dell XPS L502X USB 3.0 port malfunctioning
Greetings,
I have a three-year-old Dell XPS L502X laptop that has problems with the USB 3.0 port on the left of the computer when facing the screen. The port supplies electricity to the plugged in devices or peripherals, but data transfer is really problematic. It does not recognize most of my hard disk drives, memory sticks and mice; it occasionally works when the USB plug is fit at an angle into the socket though. The warranty is over can I fix it quickly if I open the casing and what may be the source of the problem?
Any advice and/or guidance is welcome, thanks in advance
P.S: The problem is observed both in Windows 7 64-bit and Ubuntu 12.04.3 LTS 32-bit.

Dell Inspiron N5030 has a White Screen After Log On
This problem is seriously driving me crazy, I could smash this computer.
I own a Dell Insprion N5030 laptop. Basically, I've been having this problem for a bit over three weeks now and it doesn't seem to be going away on it's own. The problem is that the laptop turns on, goes through the Dell and Windows 7 startup and it brings me all the way to the blue log in screen. I type in my password and press enter, then I wait maybe 30 seconds for it to sign in then the screen turns completely white and doesn't change even after 30 minutes of waiting.
Sometimes, after the Dell and Windows 7 startup screens, the screen even goes black for about 10 seconds before it takes me to the blue log in screen.
I searched online for solutions but couldn't find many. At first, doing a power drain (taking out the plug and battery, pressing the power button for 10 seconds) worked and it became normal once I logged on. However, now I have to power drain the laptop more than 5 times just to get it to go on.
Before, every time I got it to work, when I shut down, it went back to just not working, leading me back to multiple power drains. Even before, when I got it to finally work, I just kept it on sleep (which wastes electricity) and it would work the next day; but now putting it on sleep brings me back to the white screen. I have tried power drains, restoring Windows to previous versions, and doing disk check multiple times.
It takes me at least an hour to turn on the computer and get it to work properly. When I finally do get it to work, it is totally fine. I'm getting so tired of wasting my time turning it on when it use to just take 30 seconds to turn on.
I have called Dell Tech Support and they refused to help me unless I payed a fee of 125 or 250 dollars since I am out of warranty. Though, after I explained my situation to the first man I talked to, he said "this is a software problem, I will transfer you to someone who can help you". I'm not sure if he was 100% right, so can you guys tell me?
Please, I am so desperate to get this computer to work properly. I've only had it for about 3 years and I do not want to tell my Dad to get me a new one.
PS. Once my computer got water damaged so I soaked it in rice for a week, and another time I completely smashed the screen and I replaced the LCD by myself. I'm saying this just in case that those situations have anything to do with the computer acting this way.
Two other problems that I have are that my touchpad buttons stopped working just months into use. And the power cable, when plugged in says something along the lines of 'Please make sure Dell power cord is plugged in correctly for the best performance' or something like that. I'm not that concerned over these problem compared to the main problem.

Dell Inspiron 1521 Plugged in, Not Charging
So recently my original charger with my laptop broke so I had to buy a new one on amazon. It worked for a while but all of a sudden it started saying, "Plugged in, Not Charging."
My battery is currently at 0% and the only thing keeping my laptop turned on is the new charger. Not only that, but since I got the new charger I noticed a significantly big decrease in computer speed. I am unable to watch videos or play most video games due to the slowness. But before the charger stopped working it would run fast again if I unplugged it. But now I have to keep it plugged in all the time and I can't do much on it due to the speed.
I've tried unplugging the battery and the AC adapter from both the laptop and the wall many times, and it hasn't done anything. I tried downloading the BIOS update but it won't let me use it because it says my battery has to be at least 10% and like I said before, it's currently at 0% with no way to charge it(otherwise I wouldn't be having this problem at all)
I also read somewhere that pressing Fn and F2 turns on/off battery charging(tho i am not sure if it works on my version) so I tried that. Nothing. I even tried Fn and F3 because F3 has a picture of the battery charging bar.
I even tried uninstalling the Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Control Method Battery and had it reinstall itself and it didn't do anything.
I am at a loss. If anyone could help me, I would REALLY appreciate it. It's annoying having to drag the AC Adapter everywhere I wanna go with my laptop. Thank you for taking the time to read this.

Inspiron 5520 Continuously slow beeping, won't boot up
My laptop is only 1.5 years old and it won't power up most of the time. It will give a slow, steady beep until I power it off. There is no pattern to the beeping, just slow and steady, and will beep continuously. It will usually boot up normally if I try long enough (up to 20x's), but when I run the diagnostic tool it says everything is functioning normally.
What is going on with my system? I can't find any answers online - only to run the diagnostic tools and/or look up the beep codes to see what the problem is. This has no pattern so it doesn't match any beep codes.
This has been going on for months now but is taking progressively more and more tries to get it to boot up.
