Okay so while I was working on a Word Document I noticed odd things occurring with my laptop. First, my WebCam randomly came on, than within a second my screen went entirely white/blank. I rebooted my laptop and signed in to my main User profile. After I signed in I saw this little black box that mentioned something about "Dell and copy rights." After the black box vanished my screen went back to being blank/white. So I rebooted my laptop again I decided to sign in to my Guest User profile. The Guest profile loaded normal and fine with no white/blank screen. So I am confused as to what the issue may be. Anyone have any input or advice?

BRAND New Inspiron 17R and can't get past second disc in creating Restore Discs. What an incredible disappointment.
It is very disappointing to get a brand new laptop and have problems running software provided by Dell.
Started the disc creation process and on the second disc it just keeps spitting it out. Find out there's been posts about this for almost a year now. Wow.
How very disheartening to get a brand new machine and things not work out of the box, then to come on to the forum and see that it's been that way for months. Terrible out of box experience.

Request all the driver name for network adapter

Can anyone List here all the required driver for wifi connection so that I won't Install unnecessary driver on it.
i'm using Dell N4010 i5 with window 7 64bit
I'm also have the driver cd provided by dell when i purchased this model.
I just want to reinstall back win 7 for some reason..

Latitude D610 Black screen during start up with white light around edges
When I turn my latitude d610 on it runs the setup about all the way then the screen turns black with white around the edges and I am unable to do anything at all with it and wind up having to do a hard shut Down. The night before I had shut it down normally and. Do knot ldo not rember anything going wrong either that night or at any time before that either.

Power Management Options
Hello,
I cannot access any of Power Management Options.
I would like to restore it back or to know how to edit all options via regedit.
I am on a Vostro 3560. Windows 8. All drivers up-to-date.
I suspect a conflict with a software like : dell quickset, ati catalyst control center, ...
I uninstalled quickset and reinstalled it but it didn't do anything. I tried some of Microsoft solutions, didn't work.
Any ideas ? Suggestions ? Solutions ?

Litige pour mauvaise qualité. Alienware M11x

J'ai un Alienware M11x, vous m'avez envoyer des vis de rechange, car celles d'origine sont de très mauvaise qualité.
Mais vous ne m'aviez pas envoyé les bonnes vis (voir photo).
Donc je souhaiterai que vous m’envoyez la visserie intégrale mon Alienware m11x, car j'ai fait réparer mon pc par un informaticien.
Et il a vraiment eu beaucoup de problèmes car elle se faussé,. Comme il n'arrivait pas à enlever toutes les vis il a du ruser pour le démonter.
Ça a failli rendre la réparation impossible.

inspiron 15z Ultrabook Wi-Fi Adaptor is Drops Soooooo All The Time - Bad Product
I have had several laptops, apple, HP, IBM Thinkpads, and even a Gateway. Within our family we have 4 laptops and sometimes when the kids are home visiting with friends there can be 6 to 8 laptops within our home on line at the same time. But, I will have to make a correction, because the Wi-Fi Adaptor on the Dell inspiron 15z Ultrabook continuously drops off the net. It does it so frequently I’m embarrassed to tell others. It isn’t a fast fix either as it can take up to 20min to get the win-Fi adapter to start receiving internet signal. Sometimes it only takes 5min. What is odd, all of our other laptops, both new and old, never have this problem unless the power goes out after the storm . I have updated all the drivers and followed the steps on Dells customer support. The Dell inspiron 15z Ultrabook is only 2 months old and it drives me crazy. There are a lot of other forums that say the same thing about the Wi-Fi adaptor of the Dell inspiron 15z Ultrabook. I love the touch screen, the keyboard with light behind the keys. It is fast and responsive to my needs. BUT, I can't live with the Wi-Fi adapter that cannot hold on to a signal and ends making the simplest of work a headache. The whole point in having an Ultrabook is having a machine that is portable, works effortlessly with wireless connections and makes where ever you are a virtual office. I have read the support center advice and it has been unhelpful, Anyone out there addressed and solved this problem themselves? It seems to be a universal problem with the adaptor. XPS 15 L521x Select Graphics Card in BIOS
Hello again, I need to select a specific graphics card instead of using optimus for an OS that does not support optimus. Is there any way to do this in the BIOS? I didn't see an option, is there another version or a custom BIOS that I could get?

Vostro 3560 - fan constantly working
I recently re-installed win7 on my laptop, and since then fan has been working constantly, even when the CPU is very low. Does anyone have any idea what may have caused this or how to rectify the matter? The noise is awfully distracting..!

White screen on my laptop

My laptop screen keeps turning white and sometimes flashes before shutting down. This began after approximately one year of purchase and has continued ever since. Last year it was away being repaired under an insurance policy more often than it was in use. I understand from the pile of paperwork that the master board has been replaced twice, the wireless has been lost and then reinstated and the registries have been lost and replaced - all as a result of the white screen problem. Each repair has resulted in my laptop being wiped clean. Please can anyone offer advice as Knowhow are unable to fix this problem under the extended warranty which is about to expire.

Dell vostro Laptop
We have been using Dell Laptops in the past and have been quite satisfied with the support .We ordered Vostro 3550 Laptop -service tag <ADMIN NOTE: Service tag removed per privacy policy> .It was shipped on 16 Oct 2011 with next Business day warranty .The Hinge cover broke and we placed an order for replacement with Dell on 22nd Feb 2013 .However ,things changed once we started following up for the replacement part.We had to make hundreds of phone calls and send countless follow-up emails but the issues remained unresolved .The customer support is pathetic (provides false promises) and we are informed that the part (worth Rs 350) for laptop less than a year old was not in stock and had to be shipped from Malaysia/Singapore . I think even if had to be shipped from Mars ,it may have arrived by now.Today is 08th May 2013, and we are still stuck without a replacement and the agent responsible for the part is unavailable over phone / email .I would never recommend a Dell product to anyone or buy it going forward.

Latitude E5530 standard keyboard does make me miss my Lenovo T400 or is there a problem?

I've got a new Latitude E5530 and I really don´t like the standard keyboard. I couldn't get the backlit one courtesy of Dell ignoring portuguese writing customers!
And I do miss the soft and firm feeling of my former Lenovo T400 keyboard.
The Dell keys sometimes crack when pressed, feeling cheap plastic, everywhere in the keyboard. I suppose it's like that, or is there a problem?

Burner no longer recognized
I was burning CDs last night and I closed my laptop and returned later to do anothe one. When I opened it and went on to Media Player, it said to :Connect a burner and restart program". I have done a system restore, restarted the computer and nothing has worked. I do not know where the software is that came with my laptop. Any suggestions? I am out of warranty and Dell charges a fortune to help me.

Inspiron 17r-5720 won't boot, no error msg, bios works, diags pass
Inspiron 17r-5720 apparently went from working to this: flashes the dell circle, then nothing. left it over 12 hrs, still no error message, nothing.
Can get into bios fine. diagnostics all pass. On rare occasion, the bios progress bar will appear, but stays empty.
F12 does open the boot menu, uefi boot is blank, other opts: setup, change boot mode settings, diag.
When am on UEFI, doing add a boot option = warning! file system not found ! The hdd has been connected to another pc, it has files, and a windows dir.
Have tried sata mode in ata & ahci. have tried secure boot on & off. have tried boot list as uefi and legacy.
Have pulled both the hdd and the dvd drive out of unit, still nothing happens after the very brief dell logo.
Have tried several bootable dvds - nothing happens.
Pulling the ram out does make it beep. Nothing else makes a difference!
The bios is A12. Put A16 on a flash drive & booted w/ drive in left front usb port, nothing happened.
So - what next?

touchpad locks while typing inspiton 15r
I'd really like to be able to play games on my laptop without an external mouse but my mouse locks when i use the keyboard and i haven't been able to find the setting to change this.

Dell xps 14 L421x battery isn't recognised
My laptop is plugged in and not charging. I have run a bios and it says that the battery is a non dell battery (even though i have not tampered with the computer at all). I have only had the computer for 5 months. If the battery failed after 2 years yeah that might be acceptable but only 5 months?!?!?! I now cannot use it without plugging it in. Any help that people can give would be appreciated and it is still in warranty but I don't want to send it away because it will take ages to come back.

i have a dell lattitude e6320 that i just got and im totally locked out of the laptop after one use and a screen comes up saying something about dell sercure manger and asks for a palssword and after u get it wrong 3 times tje laptop shuts down so i really need help unlocking for school and thsnks for your help in advance

reinstalling windows 7 on inspiron 5110
Hi There,
my lap decided to get stuck at startup right before the desktop appeared, I was advised by the it people at my company to have the windows 7 renstalled
now that its done, my pc works but its like a brick. very simple graphics, does not recognize any network (cable or wifi) and so on
did download a few drivers from dell's site and imported via CD, but it didnt see to get me any further
I'd like to get my laptop back to what it used to be a few days ago
please advise
