My inspiron 1750 laptop will turn on but only shows a blank screen and about 40 seconds after start up, there are two quick beeps. The fan still works and I can hear the cd reader going if there is a cd in it. I have removed both ram chips and moved them around to no avail. If I remove them both and start the laptop, it immediately starts 2 beeps that don't stop beeping. With them both in or even just one of them in, it goes back to beeping only one time after the laptop has been on for about 40 seconds. I am wondering if both ram chips are broken or if the mother board has crashed.

Touchscreen for Windows 7 on Dell XPS 12
Hello, I own a Dell XPS 12 Convertible and my school has to configure it.
It was configured to Windows 7 as my school's software only could run in Windows 7.
After configuration, the touchscreen doesn't work. When my finger touched the screen the cursor is at the other side. LOL. Can Dell please figure this problem out and create a driver for touchscreen on Windows 7?
Really want to use the touchscreen because its so awesome. :(

Dell Inspirion 5521 Brightness Control issue
Hi. i had a Inspiron 5521 with 2 GB AMD Radeon 7 month old with original window 8 and all the drivers and updates up to date . Not any problem at all in last 7 month and working perfectly
All of sudden , last day Brightness control issue appear my brightness is not increasing . Brightness is at its lowest point , all the keys are working perfectly F4 key show bar but its not rising and from grab of the window Brightness bar is rising but brightness did not .
And one more thing last day a statment appear showing " Catalyst control is not working " , is there any linkage between catalyst and Brightness .
Please help me to solve this problem .

I want to use a XPS 12 9Q33 with Windows 7.
I managed to find all the drivers, except for the touchscreen.
In device manager there is one unknown device with hardware ID ACPI\INT33D3.
Any help will be greatly appreciated!

Dell XPS L702X randomly sleeping and going into hibernate
The laptop may start every now and again for 5 or minutes but then just goes to sleep and it may even power itself back up just to go back to sleep, this occurs randomly and now instead of going to sleep and restarting or going into sleep randomly it will go power off and go into hibernate mode.
It takes several attempts to start up the laptop. I press the power to turn it back on, just flashes when I keep pressing it. I then have to physically take out the battery then put it back in turns on but does the same thing again randomly and it isn't consistent and I can not time it. Can someone please help as I love this gaming laptop and I use it for school. I had to get a microsoft surface pro in march 2014 because my laptop was having problems stated above.

Dell Inspiron 3537 - Pathetic customer satisfaction..
I had purchased a dell inspiron 3537 worth 1000$ and am extremely unsatisfied with it.
Firstly, the laptop was having a mic problem and dead pixels on the screen. So dell had my laptop replaced as it was newly bought. The new replacement i got from the dell is having more worse problems than before.
1. The dell laptop battery indicator suddenly starts flashing orange and white and i get a pop up on desktop " The battery needs to be replaced. It cannot be detected"
(This i cannot expect for a new laptop just 1 week old :@)
2.The battery indicator strangely turns solid orange and then laptop hibernates on its own . Like a sudden battery failure.
3.When i run my laptop on the power adaptor with battery removed, I don't experience any problems.
4. The hinges on this new laptop make a small click sound whenever i open the lid of laptop.
5.The above battery problems are intermittent. They occur suddenly on their own. There is no specific pattern to it.
Dell then ordered a battery replacement which didn't solve the problem. So , i told them that it can be a coincidence that both batteries were faulty or may be the new replaced battery ws a refurbished one. Now dell has provided me a solution that they would replace the motherboard of the laptop as they suspect it to be issue with motherboard .( I mean wtf. Why to replace the motherboard of laptop which is just weeks old. I dont understand. Replacing motherboard must be a last option. Dont you think so? )
I am extremely dissatisfied with the customer support and by the way they are treating customers in india. It is the fault of dell that they have sent me a defective replacement. It is their job to replace the entire system and not to foolishly ask to replace the motherboard.
When i asked them , what if even after replacing the motherboard , the problem occurs, they dont have solution for that.
I regret purchasing this system just because of accidental coverage. Please think before purchasing their system. :(

Dell Inspiron N5110 Touch Pad not working
I have been through the whole forum and though everyone is posting about their touchpad issues none of them seems to be a fix for my touch pad problem.
I brought a new dell Inspiron N5110 and after a week all of the sudden the touch pad stopped working. I restarted the laptop and then it started working but the next time I switched my laptop again it was not working and since then I am unable to use the touch pad. I have installed UPDATED DRIVERS for my touch pad but still no good. And YES I have made sure that the Touch Pad is NOT locked, in fact when I press Fn + F3 it does not do anything (The small orange led light does not glow).
When I check in the Mouse options it does not show the Dell Touch Pad Tab, while the Dell Touch Pad Driver Software is shown in Programs and Features.
Can someone please help me out in this regards?

XPS 17 L702X will not turn on
Out of nowhere, my 1 year and 4 months old laptop no longer works. It was working fine the previous night, and 6 hours later when I woke up, it's no longer working. And the best part is my warranty expired in March of this year.
When I went to use the laptop this morning, I opened the lid to a blue screen of death . I read through the numbers and stuff real quick, but then shut it off and turned it back on (I didn't think much of it because I've gotten random blue screens on other computers before, and just restarted without a problem). When I turned it back on, the power button lit and the touch-buttons lit up in their usual cycle, the fan came on full blast, but the screen didn't turn on. No beeps either (but I don't remember if it usually beeped anyway) It just hung like that for about 15 seconds and then shut itself off.
I tried again and again, but it kept doing the same thing.
Here's what I tried:
Tried starting it unplugged (on battery);
Battery out (plugged in);
Removed USB mouse dongle;
Reseated RAM
Tried with 1 RAM stick;
Tried with no RAM;
Tried with different stick of RAM that used to be in the laptop
Tried with 1 harddrive out;
Tried with both harddrives out;
Tried with no RAM and no HDDs;
I also disassembled the entire thing down to the motherboard and checked all connections. Reseated the CPU. Reseated the heatsink. Blew out any dust from the vents. Double checked everything. Took it apart a second time after none of the above worked, and still got nowhere with it.
No signs of any damage. The laptop was left on (as usual) with the lid closed. It was not moved from where I always use it. Probably hasn't even been moved from it's place in weeks. Nobody else used it overnight. No animals in the house to pee on it. It never runs hot, so I doubt heat is an issue.
I'm totally stumped. And MAD. I tried calling Dell technical support, but since I am out of warranty all I get access to is their not-free technical support number.
If anybody has any ideas on how to fix it, please let me know. And if anybody knows a Dell number to call where I can state my case and get this fixed, please share.

Bluetooth Peripheral device
At start system gives error: "Windows needs to install driver software for your Bluetooth Peripheral Device".
The problem is I cannot connect to Wireless networks other than the ones before this error started showing up. Where can I find the driver for this bluetooth peripheral device. I've tried all trouble shooting. The link that opens at Broadcom does not work. please help

Overheating
my laptop is Dell inspiron 15r SE 7520,
my laptop is 2 years old, and a third generation processor, so during the 1st year whatever i'm running on my laptop whether games or programs it has never reached more than 86 degree Celsius per core, now once i start a game it's just a matter of short time before it reaches 95 degree Celsius and hibernates, so how i can retain my old laptop cooling performance?????

Weak WiFi connection on Dell Vostro 5470
I've just bought new Dell Vostro 5470 laptop, and it appears that is has a weak WiFi adapter.
I've got a router in another room, and If I have my laptop ahead of me (and a router behind my back)- connection speed goes down from 8 Mbit to 2 Mbit. If I remove myself from the chair it goes up to original 8 Mbit. This doesn't happen using my previous laptop (Lenovo N200) or my smartphone.
If I'm in the same room as the router, I have full speed (8 Mbit).
I did a fresh WIndows 7 install with Dell drivers.
I could buy an USB Wifi adapter with external antenna, but it's not a good solution. And of course I wouldl have 1 USB port always occupied.
Is there any other solution?

Dell Inspiron N5110 not turning on
My Dell Inspiron N5110 unexpectedly crashed earlier and no longer turns on. When I click the power button, it shows the light as one along with the 3 other buttons flashing and then going off with the power button remaining on. However, the laptop does not turn on and I have no clue on how to turn it on.

DELL Inspiron 1525 not booting. Blinking blue lights.
However, the blinking lights are NOT on those three lights in the top near the power button.
First light is on the AC Power Cable blue light ribbon (near where it connects to the laptop)
Second light is the green light of the DVD-ROM
Third light is the first light (energy?) of the 5 lights on the botton left of the keyboard.
It doesnt boot either with the AC cable pluged or unplugged, nor with the battery connected or disconnected.
ps: the lights start blinking as soon as I plug the AC Power cable. No need to press the power button... and in fact, pressing it changes nothing.

Hello dell my alienware 14 inch has major wifi problems only my home wifi network has problems with my computer and all other devices work fine it tends to disconnect after being shut off and on time periods on 1 to 2 hours or hour to 30 min please tell me what to do I really want to get this fixed

Upgrade RAM
Hi,
I have purchased a Dell Inspiron 3537 which came with a 2GB DDR3-1600 RAM.
I want to add a 4GB DDR3-1600 RAM in the second slot. Is this combination optimum, or is it better to twin the RAM, i.e. 2+2 only.
Where can i find supported RAMs?

STOP: 0x000000A5 ACPI error during fresh winxp/win7 installation
Hi expert,
My new laptop is Inspiron 15 Non-Touch - Inspiron 3531 with win8, and it seems everything is good, but I don't like win8, I just want to go back win7 or winxp. When I try to install the new OS, I got the same error message,like " STOP: 0x000000A5 ACPI error "
I upgraded the bios to the latest one under win8 already.
