I have a Dell Inspiron 3521 15.6 inch laptop, bought 2-3 months ago. The mouse button is EXTREMELY LOUD when i click, and its unbearable, so annoying and loud! It makes his practically unable to use in a quiet settings! I'm really fed up with Dell, since there quality seems to be getting cheaper and cheaper! I've had many Dell Computers before with never any issues that were a red flag. Dell, what do you think?

Inspiron 17r 5737 screen flickering / dynamic brightness
I just took delivery of a 17r 5737 laptop from the Dell Outlet and I have noticed when watching videos that the screen appears to be dynamically adjusting the backlight brightness constantly. The screen will flicker between different backlight brightness settings as videos play, which is fairly annoying when trying to watch something. Is there a way to turn off this dynamic brightness setting? Or is there something wrong with my display and it should not be doing this?
The screen is the FHD 1920x1080 matte display and it has Intel HD 4400 graphics, as well as an AMD Radeon 8870M discrete GPU.

Blue Screen on boot ...problem with display driver ?
I have been using a Dell Inspiron 14R (N4110) laptop since 2010 without any issues.
The Laptop was purchased online from Dell and came with
1) Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit and
2) AMD Radeon HD 6470M - 1GB display card.
Recently, I had a problem where my laptop just wouldn't boot up, showing the blue screen everytime it tries to boot up. The Blue screen mentions a problem with the atikmpag.sys file which I understand is the driver for the AMD video card.
If I remove/rename the atikmpag.sys and atikmdag.sys files (through safe boot mode) in C:/windows/system32/drivers, the laptop boots up (no blue screen), but obviously doesn't recognize the display card.
After a lot of unsuccessful debugging tries on my own (including trying to upgrade the display drivers etc.)., I reinstalled the OS and the drivers that came with the original kit (just to remove any possibility of an upgrade gone bad). However, I still see the issue.
Does this mean there is a hardware problem ? or a BIOS issue ?

Very slow windows 8.1! New Laptop
I just got a new dell inspiron 15 3531 Windows 8., intel celeron processor (Intel HD Graphics) 1 and its very slow! The startup takes 1~2 minutes.
When i ordered, i was aware of the slowness of windows 8.1, as my borhter updated his laptop to windows 8.1, and it was too slow for him so he decided to go back to windows 8. They said they couldnt do anything about it.
Even chrome takes too long, takes 1~2 minutes sometimes to load pages. Its not my internet, id literally be sitting beside my brother while hes using his laptop and his is 10x faster than mine. He uses alot of games and his laptop is two years old, he owns a laptop similar to mine dell inspiron 15 3521.
Games are also very slow, as it should be fine since my game does not require to much memory, or isnt laggy at all (ive been playing for 4 years and it was fine on my other dell inspiron 15s)
Any suggestions? I still have a warranty since i bought it on June 28th

Laptop keeps shutting off
I have N5030 Laptop and for some reason it keeps shutting off at the Dell logo. I did the tests and everything passed. I have also tried F8 and nothing happens. Could someone please help me??

USB ports not woking!!!!
I have Dell inspiron 15R N5110...
It has Two Usb 3.0 ports and one 2.0 port.
And all of a sudden both of usb 3.0 ports stopped working although 2.0 is working fine.,
I guess its not a hardware fault because whenever i try to connect a mobile to 3.0 port the mobile is charging but nothing shows on "My computer".
what should i do to fix it........i have even tried winston 3.0 host controller , it extracted to my c drive,,but still not working even after restarting , restoring,,,,
i hv tried all the basics i guess......

Problems with my Inspiron n5110
So right off the back my specs are:
Windows 7 64bit
Intel core i5-2450m
Intel HD Graphics 3000
So anyway,thier are two things currently wrong with my laptop.
1. The USB 3.0 ports aren't working.I tried flashing my BIOS(its at the latest version currently) and i tried uninstalling the drivers(I didn't restart in between the uninstall and the reinstall,does that matter?) But it won't even show up in device manager.
2. It wont read an ethernet.My Realtek PCIe family controller says "This device cannot start. (Code 10)".Again,tried reinstalling the drivers but nothing.
At this point the only thing i could think of is a complete reset but i have alot of programs downloaded on my computer plus pictures and videos which would be a hassle to back up and re download. Help anyone?

Inspiron 14R 5420
I have the problem for my Inspiron 14R 5420.The system don't start for the first time I press the power button.The LED in the power button lights up and nothing displays on the screen.Even the LED on the caps lock key don't function.Then I have to press the power button again to shut it down and repeat the process.After some of these ON-OFF cycles system starts suddenly.But when the system starts,it behaves perfectly normal and even passed all the tests(with ePSA diagnostics).
I tried draining the residual power by pressing and holding the power button for 20 seconds(after removing the battery and charger).It worked for one time,the system started normally.The problem persists and now, even this process is not helping the laptop to start.
Please help me solve this.

Inspiron 1526 Blank Screen
Hello everyone, after 5 hours of searching the net with only limitied & patial answers, I turn to you to try & put the pieces of info I have into a solution.
The lap top will start, all the lights seem to be normal, can feel the vibration of the Hard Drive, but the screen is Blank (Black). When I push the power button, the screen does flash (sort of white) then to black where it stays. Have tried the function keys, trying to brighten the display, no change.
Hooked up an external monitor, toggled through the function key (CRT/LCD) it just stayed black.
Ran the (BIST), the colors flash on the screen, I think it passed, but not sure as the screen is still black.
Any suggestions, hints as what to do next?

Just about last week, i tried to turn on my laptop but the laptop just gives a long beep once and two short beeps. After a few seconds, it beeps twice again.

Inspiron 15 7537 keyboard problem
Hi! last week I've purchased an Inspiron 15 7537 and yesterday the keyboard stop working.
The only keys that still works are the ones that turns on the backlight of the keyboard and the ones that increase or decrease ths screen brightness.
The touchpad also doesn't works.
Could anybody helps me to try to fix this problem?

Latitude D620 CPU Fan problem
I have a Dell Latitude D620 that was a workhorse, until one day recently, the CPU fan stopped working and the CPU started overheating. I did a little diagnosis of my own and found that the fan worked fine while plugged into a stand alone power supply. I then took the laptop into a local laptop repair shop and they diagnosed it as a bad motherboard.
I located a replacement MOBO for the D620 on ebay that was represented to be a tested and fully operational and functional MOBO by a reputable seller. I received it yesterday and put my CPU and other components on it and much to my surprise, the laptop fan doesn't work. Everything else appears to work fine with it (it booted up to Windows and the CPU began overheating). I tested this fan too, and it worked plugged into a stand alone power supply.
What are the odds that I could have 2 laptop motherboards with the same exact fan issue? I've researched the D620 and it doesn't appear to be a widespread problem, like the nvidia video chips on them (mine has intel video, btw). Could it be that there is something else going on, like a failing CPU? Anybody have any ideas? I really need to get some feedback before I contact the ebay seller for a return authorization and start looking at other MOBOs.

Inspiron 17 Touchscreen not Recognised
Brand new laptop 3 days old - model 7737
Came with Win8 and touchscreen was working fine
Have updated to 8.1 and installed other software like office, etc and touchscreen is now not recognised. System says "no pen or touch device"
Device manager also shows an unknown USB device (device descriptor request failed)
Device manager also keeps refreshing (like every few seconds) - sometimes the USB device disappears completely then comes back again as unknown.
I'm sure this must be a driver issue of some kind but have tried all those I can find.

Inspiron 17 SE 7720 "click" noise hard drive
Hi!
I'm owning an Inspiron 17 SE 7720 with two hard drives.
Last week this laptop started to make occasionally a "click" noise. It does not depend on the speaker volume and the hardware scan does not find an error. It seems as if the hard drive in the lower left corner is the origin of the noise. I'm a bit worried. Am I running into troubles? Does someone have similar experiences?

Help please! Sudden Shutdown while playing games
Hello. I have a Dell Inspirion 3437, just bought it 3 months ago. It runs on Windows 8.1 when it was bought. But 2 month ago whenever I would play Darksiders 2, Batman Arkham Origins or Amalur Reckoning, it would suddenly shutdown after about 10-30 mins of playing! But when I would play Bioshock Infinite, my laptop doesn't have any problem.
I've read a lot on forums about this problem but all they are saying is it's about over heating, but I highly doubt that for my case because my laptop's just 3 months old and I have a cooler pad. Please help me anyone! Also, the Nvidia GeForce Experience doesn't open, but it appears on the taskbar.

Laptop froze, then wouldn't power down, now won't startup
while working in photoshop (which is what I use my laptop for 90% of the time, my laptop froze. I tired ctrl-alt-delete but it wouldn't respond; it would not respond to a hard power off either (holding down power button). I simply shut my laptop. Now it won't power up. I have it plugged in now and will try again in the morning.
Note: earlier that day Photoshop twice gave me an error message and wouldn't let me save a file because it said I was low on memory. I simply closed photoshop and reopened and the error went away.
