Hi i am haziq, i recently bought a dell inspirion 15R 5537 and, the version i bought was a dos, so i got windows 7 installed on, the inbuilt games are giving problems like install drivers. I can get the wifi on, So i fiqured out drivers are missing. I am downloading the drivers but i want to ask whether windows 8 drivers work on windows 7. ANd will it get installed correctly they are still getting download. I am a little worried as this pc has caused me and still i have to work on getting the drivers installed. Please help me out. I am sorry if i have posted in the wrong area. Or if imentioned something wrong.

My daughters M5030 laptop has come down with the 7 beeps of death, a common problem for thousands of buyers of this series of laptops. This laptop was a Christmas present for her 2 years ago and she loves this laptop. So I research the internet to find out what the 7 beeps means and I also contact technical support at Dell. After arguing with technical support for over an hour last August, they finally admitted that there was an issue with the M5030 laptop motherboard. At first they told me that they never had an issue of this sort with this laptop. After I guided them to the internet and had them Google the issue and they saw that there are thousands of complaints on the 7 beeps of death and they finally caved and took the laptop back for repair. They told me that they replaced the whole motherboard as the processors were faulty and the solder was bad on this particular motherboard.

It is now 5 months since Dell replaced the motherboard and guess what? The 7 beeps of death has reemerged, the issue with the motherboard has not been addressed and so the same issue will continue as long as we have this laptop. So I contact Dell again and they will do nothing for the failed new motherboard even though they know that the motherboard is bad and prone to the same issues as before. They now say that I have to pay $328 for them to fix it and "keep your fingers crossed" that it does not happen again even though they expect it to because the issue has never been resolved. I never suspected that Dell would market bad and inferior products, market a "throw away" laptop because that is basically what I have now, a throw away. It will cost almost what a new laptop costs just to have it repaired even though it is known that this motherboard is not manufactured correctly and has issues. If thousands of cars had this issue, then the manufacturer would have a recall to fix the problem, not place a band-aid on it and hope it goes away.

I have a Dell M5030 with the 7 beeps problem.

I read here in the forums for a solution but no one have a concrete solution for the problem.

I try to contact dell technical support but my warranty has expired, so i want a solution, i have this computer for 2 years and is the only computer i have, i really need my pc for the university.

Please respond, and thanks.

Hellp folks,

I've just bought a Dell 3011 AIO Unit. However it is not picking up my wireless home broadband and I'm having to remain plugged in ( which is a pain).

 

Dell's main site hasn't been much help ( still waiting on the site analyzing my system etc having registered the service tags) so I'm on here for some tips to get my new Dell unit connected before I give up and send it back.

Owned an Inspiron 6000 w/ XP but it was getting tired. Replaced it with the 15R Spec. Ed.

If I pause work and the 15R goes into 'Sleep Mode' I can't wake it up w/o FIRST activating 'ON' button.... then it goes to pulsing illumination.... then I have to stimulate 'ON' button once again, and wait, and wait.....and then I can land upon from my start screen. This seems awful tedious.

What am I missing?

Previous Inspiron simply required a touch-pad activation for 'wake-up'.

I have a 5-plus year old Dell Inspiron 1525 and its screen becomes extremely dim usually within a few minutes after plugging in the adapter that came with it into the power outlet. When I shine light into the screen, it is a little better. The Fn and up button does not do anything. And yes, I've checked the settings to ensure maximum brightness.

When I unplug and the computer is on battery, the highest possible brightness with Fn and up button immediately generates a beeping like sound and the screen flickers. Hitting Fn then down lessens this sound but there is still some flickering. But it's okay when I hit Fn then the down button another time.

Can you somebody explain in very simple terms how to fix this (I do not understand computer lingo)? Also keep in mind that the laptop is barely worth $100, so I will not be spending money if it doesn't make sense.

Two diologue boxes appear, one says" DaemonProcess.exe system error" "QtNetwork.dll missing" try reinstalling. Installing what?

Microsoft.Net Framework, Unhandelled exception has occurred in your application during web client request.

Hello,

I purchased a Dell Inspiron 11 from Best Buy yesterday and I am having diffculty getting it to turn on. I was able to get it to turn on once yesterday, but it won't turn on today. I have tried holding the power button down for several seconds and also left the power adapter in overnight to fully charge the battery but it won't come on when I tried in the morning. Also the battery is built in and not removable.

I recently noticed ghost images on my Dell XPS 12 Duo. If a bright image on dark background stays on the screen for a couple of minutes and then I switch to somewhat dark background I can clearly see the previous image on the screen for some time before it fades away. Once I noticed it I started spotting even more subtle ghost images. I even managed to capture it in a picture with a low-end digital camera - http://imgur.com/a/RIYff (notice the tray icons clearly seen in the Win 8 start screen and even the facebook ad is visible). It is far more clear when you look at the actual screen and not on a picture. I already arranged replacement laptop (as I had other issues with this one) but yesterday I read news about mass defects in Apple's Retina MacBooks ( http://www.ibtimes.com/print/macbook-pro-retina-display-problems-apple-faces-class-action-suit-ghosting-issue-1129939 ) with practically the same issue. Now I wonder if it is possible that all Dell XPS 12 Duo screens have this problem.

So anyone else seeing this on his machine?

Hello! I'm an Alienware 17 owner and my model has a LMT 64M6 SSD which is out of date. I have downloaded the appropriate driver: http://www.dell.com/support/drivers/us/en/19/driverdetails?driverid=4YX4D but when I run the update it says no matched drivers found! No matter if I run it in compatibility mode or not, it keeps giving me the same pop-up box: No matched drivers found! This is extraordinarily frustrating as I've had 3 hardrive failures so far and I've only had my Alienware for 5 months now! The importance of this driver is also ranked as urgent by dell. What the heck is going on here and why isn't this update working.

Hi I have a Dell xps 13 ultrabook running windows 7. I've had this laptop for 11/2 years so it is out of warranty. I was using my laptop at work the other day and it was working fine. When I got home I plugged it in and tried booting it up, when it got to the logo screen it froze and I got  8 beeps. I suppose this is some bios code but I don't know what it means. Just wondering if my motherboard is fried and if it is how do I go about getting a replacement I can install myself. Thanks in advance any help would be apprieciated.

Hello Dell 

1-My hard drive has a loud sound i can hear it when um about 30cm away from keyboard ,Also when firstly i boot the laptop i hear a sudden spinning in hard drive also sometimes while browsing my folders i hear a sudden spinning ....

2-the headphone slot .when i use the headphone if i entered the jack totally the sound seems to be bad "alot of noise" , when i semi enter"half entered"  it the sound return clear ...

i bought the lap 5 months ago .... i think it still in warranty ! 

Please reply me fast , this things are annoying me

Hello, 

When I start my computer, the fans start up and the lights on the keyboard light up, but the screen does not illuminate and the computer releases 2 short beeps.  I have tried replacing RAM as most of my research hints it towards a RAM issue, but to no avail.  The laptop is still under warranty if it needs to be sent off.  

As stated before I have tried these steps:

Replacing the RAM
Started the computer without the battery
Hold FN while booting

I'm not sure if there is something I'm missing or overlooking.

Okay so my hard drive failed on my laptop I have a Dell xps 15 L502x, so I was able to get a one that fits this laptop, but now I have no drivers but I wa able to get some but the rest dont work, I cant update some because my laptop cant charge, I bought a replacement charger but it doesnt work, my battery leds when the buttons on it is pushed flashes 6 times WHAT DOES THAT MEAN I HAVE SEARCHED AND SEARCHED AND I NEED AN ANSWER PLEASE, i have uninstalled the ACPI, I have held the button when computer was off for 30 second and such, I have verified that the charger is plugged in and that the port on my pc is not faulty, is it mybattery? should I look for the original charger?

the lights of my alienware 14 don't work now. i have tried many ways including restoring operating system to factory state, updating the bios, re-installing Alienware Command Center trying to fix it but i failed. All the lights including the wifi, caption and battery lights only light  for 3 seconds and then go dark immediately when i open my computer and i click "go light" in Alienware Command Center. oh, i forgot to mention that the light on internet interface on the right side will light and won't turn off when i plug into the wire. So what should i do now? should i sent it to repaire? i just bought it for 4 mouth, i didn't think it would broken so quickly....

Hi All,

I have seen numerous posts regarding 7 beeps on start-up.
Well my laptop now does it, and not being a techy, or savvy, I am unable to fix it myself.
The laptop is only 2.5yrs old.
I know lately it has been playing up - lines on screen occasionally, but that stopped, and thought everything was ok, till this started
If this is a common Dell problem, why dont they fix it free of charge, or send out a new motherboard/cpu so that I can get someone who knows what they are doing to fix it.

Come on Dell, I expected better from a big company like yours.

Someone please help me, I have data on my hard drive I would rather not lose!!

I recently upgraded my Dell XPS 1330 from Windows Vista to Windows 7 64-bit. I want to connect my laptop to my Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and my wife's Sony Vio laptop using bluetooth feature but it doesn't connect as it is missing the above drivers. I using dell drivers installation but with no success. Any ideas please?
