I have an XPS 13 9360 running on Windows 10.
Some time ago all the gestures for the touchpad (e.g. zoom, two-finger scrolling, etc.) stopped working.
I've tried updating, re-installing, deleting and installing the drivers, but to no avail.
The touchpad itself works well, it's just the gestures that have disappeared for an inexplicable reason.
I've tried everything I could think of, so I'd be grateful for any kind of advice or suggestion.

This is a follow-up to another thread but I have more information.
Since the Creators Update was installed my laptop (M4700) won't resume from standby with any power scheme. I have had the Feature Enhancement pack installed since the machine was on Windows 7. ( This is the add-on that provides the power schemes that the Dell representative didn't believe were created by Dell, but the previous thread has screenshots.)
The issues I was having have gotten worse since Creators Edition update was applied - despite GPOs supposedly blocking that update.
The keyboard and mouse work okay when the screen comes back up, and the Cortana hints display, but as soon as I then go to unlock the machine from the Dell credential provider, the speaker emits a hideous screeching sound and the keyboard and mouse stop working.
A cold reboot fixes it, but loses any work I had running in the process.
FEP has been broken since Windows 10 came out. The schemes still work, but none of their settings can be modified and that includes the enforcement of going into standby after 10 minutes despite being on mains power and having the Maximum Performance scheme selected).
I have removed the FEP, reset all the power schemes, removed all the stuff related to fingerprint reader, changed the Device Manager settings so that the USB devices can wake up after resuming from standby, checked the BIOS, scanned forensically for Dell / MS / Wave updates and found none...
I have also reinstalled the FEP - no effect.
My laptop is on a domain, is Bitlocker encrypted and has >5 years' worth of work on it, including farms of virtual machines that I use daily - so a complete system reset with a vanilla Windows disk (or a reset to the factory image) is really not ideal.
@Dell - can you please review the security, power and credential provider configurations for the Dell Precision models that shipped with Win7 Professional, and update FEP so if nothing else the power schemes can be edited to prevent standby when in Maximum Performance?

My laptop does not see any other disks except the original one.
Dell Latitude 3480 originally equipped with a Micron SSD MTFDDAV256TBN (M.2).
I need a larger 480 GB SSD or bigger. If I insert the WDS500G2B0A or PI480GS25SSDR (both are 2.5 ") BIOS tells me that no hard drives are available, Standard HDD also is unavailable. Unfortunately I do not have the M.2 drive to test.
Do you have any ideas for the disk to be visible?

I cannot turn on my laptop Inspiron 3542 on battery. It works well on Ac supply.. It alternatively shows linking red and white indicator. It was working well till yesterday.. but today i dont know what happenned. Please help .And on boot, it shows that battery not identified error. Reply me soon.
I am using an original dell battery for 4810 on a dell n5010 the battering is draining fast when it is on 30% it immediately come on 7% and tell me to charge. Can you please suggest me what i can do to prevent the battery to drain fast??

I am having problems installing Windows 7 Pro on a separate partition on my laptop that came with Windows 10 Home Edition. All the drivers at the Dell website are only for Windows 10. Could someone please suggest any solutions. Thanks in advance for your help.

I have a serious problem, I have a dell Inpiron N420 that has problems with its internal hard drive. It seems that it is damaged and needs to be replaced. For this reason I bought a new hard drive with the following specifications:
Toshiba Mobile ,Hard Drive L200, 1TB, 5400rpm, 8MB buffer, HDWJ110.
Although I could install the new hard drive and windows 7 in my laptop, I couldn't install the drivers, there is a kind of error. I would like to know if I resolve this problem.
Adittionaly, my old hard drive was a Samsung Sata of 200GB

Is there any available information about the pinout of ribbon-cable-connector for Precision M4600 keyboard? it is 10 pin connector, but have no idea what is power, what is ground and what are the signal pins. Is it using USB connection? or else?

Hello all! I have a Latitude E6430 with an i7-3540M. When I purchased it a few months ago it had a 500gb mechanical hard drive and was running windows 7 Pro 64 sp2 and fully updated. Bios was one version behind (I don't remember what revision). Anyway when I got it and opened it up it powered it on but it would got to the OS loading and froze. I noticed that the hdd light would flash with activity and then stop. I held down the power button until it powered off and then tried again and it booted up and loaded everything fine. I never had a problem with it while using it and everything was fine. Shut it down and let it sit overnight. Next day it does the same thing. I put up with this for a week before I decided to try updating to Windows 10 to see if a new OS would help but it didn't. I tried brand new ram, updating to the current bios and also tried an SSD. Nothing seems to fix it. Does anyone have any ideas?
My Alienware M17x R4 Laptop was working fine yesterday. Went to turn it on today and all I get is a black screen accompanied with a series of 8 beeps. When I powered up, the power button is blue, no flashing of other keys. Have tried to run the self diagnosis but that doesn't work either...... Have done the uplug, remove battery, etc all without any success....... Please Help!!!! Thanks
My Dell XPS laptop (year 2016) does not start, pushing the ON button does not do much: The LED is blinking slowly, will briefly turn on upon push, but then nothing happens, LED goes back to blinking. Front LED comes on one time when I plug in charger.
I had a strange blue screen yesterday saying "Your PC ran into a problem and needs to restart. We just collecting some error info...". A completion counter stood still at "0%" and did not change (see picture).
I manually restarted and the laptop worked fine yesterday. This morning it did not start.

Does the new Inspiron 13 7000 2 in 1 7373 w 8th gen i7, 16gb, and 512 gb ship with a nvme drive?
The features section on the splash page page states the 512 ssd is nvme and the 256 is sata.
Sales says all 7373s are being shipped with sata and insists splash page is wrong
I have one on order and need to know if it will ship with a nvme drive or not

Hi, I got the 2017 Dell XPS 13. Overall I love it, but one problem I'm having is that if I let it go into hibernation mode when I start it back up it refuses to connect to Wi-Fi properly. I usually turn the Wi-Fi off and on again, and then have to wait until it realises it's connected. I usually have a tab open with google loading, just so I know as soon as it's connected again. This takes about a minute or so...
This seems to be on any network. The icon suggests it's connected (i.e. it's not still saying "connecting")...

Hi, I own a 1 month old inspiron 15 5667 which lately started showing a black screen and feezing when loading windows. Long story short, after a lot of frustration, clean install and a bit of tech help I managed to pinpoint the problem to intel Turbo Boost in the BIOS settings. Only by disabling this does my computer work. However, I would like to use Turbo Boost. Is therr any way to fix this other than sending it to the lab? I have an i7 7500u processor.

When the right arrow key is spamming the touchpad stops working. This goes on for a long time, stops for a few minutes, then starts again. When the spamming stops, the touchpad starts working again but the right arrow key does not. so I just do a hard reset even though i have the problem i already seen some one who asked the same question and some one replied to them that to remove the battery and switch it back i even did that to but it not working for . Please help me, I have dell Inspiron 3542.
