Adjusting keyboard backlight duration on Inspiron 15-7568
Hi,
I have an Inspiron 15-7568 2-in-1 laptop with a backlit keyboard, running Windows 10. Can anyone tell me if there's a way to change settings so the keyboard light is on all the time, while using the AC adapter? Currently it turns off after around a minute and I haven't found a way to adjust that.

Inspirion N4030 i3 x64 Ram Upgrade
My Ispirion has the default 3gb RAM, but that doesn't cut it anymore, and that's why I decided to upgrade it. But I don't know which is the limit of ram that I can buy, some websites say that the maximum is 6GB and others say its 8 GB. And also what should they say in terms of 2x2 or 2x4. Sorry, but I'm new in the RAM upgrading ambit. If I'm forgetting to add some specs, please tell me and I post them. Thanks!

XPS L702x Screen colour change issue (screen shots included)
Sorry for the bad post name as I'm not entirely sure what to call this.
I have been having an issue with my XPS L702x for a while after I dropped it onto the floor. The issue I have is that is mainly that the screen seems to display black (and colours close to it) green and the white as red. This is fairly inconvenient but also seems to be slowing my pc down quite a bit, for a while I assumed it was the screen that had broken and a ribbon cable or something had either come loose or broken, however after taking the pc apart and having a look at the wires they all seem fine. My second assumption is it's something to do with the GPU and maybe that's what's broken (this would make sense as to why the PC is slowing down). I'm wondering if there's a way to fix it as I don't want to buy a new laptop.

Dell Inspiron N 5050 RAM
I am using Dell Inspiron N5050 having Intel Core i3 2350M processor in India.
I wanted to know if KINGSTON KVR1333D3N9/4G 4Gb 1333Mhz SODIMM ram is compatible to my device and can add this ram into the empty slot available so that my total ram becomes 6GB ?

Help! XPS 15 9560 won't boot after switch to AHCI
I switched the BIOS setting from RAID to AHCI and restarted. After this, it kept saying there was a problem, and then rebooting. Finally I got to a command prompt, and bootrec /buildbcd said there were 0 versions of windows installed, and there wasn't even a c:\boot\bcd. I created a recovery flash drive right before I made the BIOS setting, though I'd prefer not to have to reinstall.
What should I do next?
- If the advice is to reinstall from the recovery drive, will that definitely work? That is, will the recovery process also revert the BIOS to RAID?
- If I want to set it to AHCI, do I need to install some different drivers or something?

Problem with XPS9365 with TB16 driving three monitors.
Problem:
Can't get three monitors working through my TB16. I've tried many combinations of connections and ports. Best I can get operational is two screens.
Hardware:
- XPS9365
- Intel HD Graphics 615
- TB16 Thunderbolt Docking Station
- 3 x HP ZR2240w monitors running at 1920x1080 @ 60Hz.
From my testing I’ve the following observations regarding behavior with different video connections.
- If the DP is connected then, irrespective of other connections, only the DP monitor functions.
- If the DP is not connected but VGA is then, irrespective of other connections, only the VGA monitor functions.
- If both DP and VGA are disconnected then monitors on mDP and HDMI both function correctly.
The other odd behavior is that with option 1 above, despite the lid being closed, the laptop built-in display shows as active in the Intel Graphics Control Panel. With option 3, it doesn't show as active. Through all the testing, I never open the lid. All I do is plug or unplug the video connectors on the back of the TB16.
All drivers have been updated via the Dell Command Update app. There was a new BIOS release early August but it’s not made a difference. I also downloaded and installed the latest TB16 drivers from the Dell Support site.
The support literature says this number of monitors and resolutions should work fine. Any clues?

Dell XPS 13 9343 intermittent boot failure
Hey everyone! I'm new to this forum, but I am totally lost on this issue.
I have an early 2015 Dell XPS 13 9343, i5 with QHD+ touch display. I have been experiencing an intermittent issue where the system doesn't boot or even display the Dell logo, but gives a series of 3 slow, foreboding low-pitched beeps at about 3 or 4-second intervals, followed by a higher-pitched beep after which the fan revs and the system powers off. The front indicator light quickly and repeated flashes 3 amber followed by 1 white.
According to the guide at http://www.dell.com/support/article/us/en/19/sln295543/how-to-use-and-troubleshoot-the-xps-13--9343-?lang=en, the beep code indicates a system board failure, the common remedy of which is to replace the motherboard. What mystifies me is why this issue only occurs intermittently. For example, I am typing this post on my XPS 13 at the moment, and everything is functioning perfectly smoothly. But I could literally close the laptop, go get coffee, come back, and it would be totally inoperable. In the same way, earlier today I tried to show a friend at school how it wouldn't boot, and it woke up in 6 seconds as if nothing had ever happened even though it was making alien spaceship noises no more than 5 minutes earlier.
This problem has been haunting me since this spring. It happened several times with the same symptoms, and I ran a BIOS update (when it happened to be working) and the problem disappeared, only to return again this morning. It has gone back and forth from totally working to completely inoperable several times in the last day.
I rely on my computer to take notes during class, and though I have everything backed up on OneDrive, it would be killer to open it up simply to broadcast spaceship noises to the entire classroom.
This is a long and drawn-out explanation, but hopefully some of you smart people can make sense of it.

Dell E6500 - Want to actually *re-install* Intel Management Firmware - not drivers...
I've seen other posts about drivers, but I really think I need to re-install the firmware... on boot, all Dell laptops in the E64xx and E65xx series, at least, show the Intel Management Engine v (I forget, sorry...)
But this particular E6500 *usually* just has a blank screen, flashing cursor... Re-start - same thing. Buuuut! once in a while, it'll flash a message about using the "default image" - and the OS loads... until next time it somehow shuts down.
Any help/suggestions would be appreciated. Besides not booting, it's a great laptop!

dell 7567 fps drop cpu frequency drop
m using a dell 7567 i7 gtx 1050 ti just bought it 3 days ago i have installed windows 10 and dell drivers everything is fine until idecided to play my first game on it (charger is plugged i) it was assass'ins creed unity when i open the game it runs well with 50 fps for 1 minute then fps drop to 15/20 fps i thought it was the game cauz it is badly optimized i decided to intall other games and same issue btwn temps are fine 60 c no thermal throttling everything is fine drivers are all installed even the nvidea latest update but i have noticed that when the fps drop task manager shows that max core frequency drops from 3.5(turbo boost) to 0.8 mhz
even that cpu usage is under 50.% wich leads to fps drop then it goes back and so over and over again i tryed everything to make it stable but everything failed plss help me m very disappointed and sad i cant find a solution i cant play like this pls any dell suipport help me soon

xps 13 9360 (2017) would not show 5.0ghz Wifi

i have netgear r7000 (ac1900) router. it is dual band router. I cannot see 5.0ghz frequency range on my xps 13 9360 2017 model. I can see 5.0ghz range on my phone, tv and other devices. I updated all the drivers on my xps 13 but still cannot see the range.

question about the specs of the new inspiron 13 7000 series
so I am in Canada, and I was considering a base model of the new inspiron 13 7000,
first, what is the color gamut of the screen? is it srgb 100% or lower than that?
second, I saw in the feature tab, it says the the there is a fingerprint reader on the power bottom, but this feature is not mentioned among all the models' specs in the new 13 7000 series, and I confirmed with one the agent through the online chat, but in the product review section, one customer commented the product he received has the fingerprint reader, and he also lives in Canada, this really confused me, maybe the fingerprint reader is a selectable feature?

touch pad - cant turn it off
I have a Dell inspiron n5110 (i know its an oldy) and suddenly i can't turn of the touch pad since in am typing all the time it gets in the way and the cursor flies all over the screen.
I used to be able to turn it off with the Fn + F3 buttons but it doesn't work anymore.
when i try the settings i only get the mouse settings
i updated all the drivers
what can be done?

How to DS1000 network configuration
I'd like to use the same IP address for both internal E7480 network card and DS1000 network card.
How can I perform this settings?
In the "old" E-dock there isn't any problem the e-port network interface "!replicate" the internal network confighuration now with the Type-c dock isn't possible.

Dell Latitude E6410 hinges seem stuck
Hi,
I have an Latitude E6410 that I have switched the LCD Back cover and bezel of. However, I want to re-attach the lid to the unit but the hinges seem stuck in one position? I do not recall damaging anything and its both hinges. As far as I know the hinges move independent of one another so this is really weird.
Is this normal and/or will they work when i attach the LCD cover again?
