Web link to Dell product page shows giant ASPX image instead

I just made a post about a problem on a product page which I included the link for, but instead of just showing the link, the post shows a giant ASPX image with my subsequent comments underneath and pushed sideways... making it possibly hard or confusing to read.

How does this get fixed?

The link is like (spaces added so it's not auto-futzed again): http:// accessories. us. dell. com/sna/productdetail.aspx?c=us&cs=6099&l=en&sku=331-6304

Screenshot of post (my first sentence is now pushed down almost near the bottom of the ASPX image even though it's previous to the link):

Dell precision 5510 battery error

Hello, I've purchased a precision 5510 about two years ago, the battery has been working perfectly ever since, until today, where it suddenly showed an error, and no longer operating:
Your battery no longer operates and needs to be replaced.
Note that in the morning, the battery was working perfectly and lasts about 6~7 hours.

I've tried upgrading the BIOS, disconnecting the battery and reconnecting, nothing works.

Please advise.

Dell technical support in Israel not functioning

Hello,
I would like to complain about a bad experience I am having with Dell's technical service in Israel.
Two days ago (9/19/17) a technician arrived to my house to replace my PC's motherboard and graphic card. Because of VERY limited working hours of the technical support team, eventually my wife had to take the day off, just for letting the technician in to fix the computer. I arrived home several hours after he left, and found out that the PC's cooler fan wasn’t working anymore. It is quite reasonable to assume that the failure of the fan is due to the technician's work, by forgetting to connect the power cable, spilling some glue over it etc. when I called the technical support, all they had to say to me was that due to a Jewish holiday in the next two days, they will contact me the next week (five days later) to schedule a new technician visit. During that long period of time, until a technician will a arrive, I was told not to turn on the computer. I would like to stress that I use my computer for work on a daily basis, and in addition to the five days I have been asked to wait for a phone call, there would be more days to wait until the actual arrival of the technician.
We already had to take a day off for the technician, now we would have to take another day off, due to Dell technician's negligence, and on the top of it, wait outrageous amount of time for the visit, all that time being instructed not to turn on my work PC, which I have to use on a daily basis.  When I asked to speak with a supervisor, I was told he will call me in the next hour, but no one called.
Until today, I have bought only Dell's PC's for me and my extended family, but my current experience with the failed product of Dell Vostro 5470, and the outrageous experience with the technical support, I am going to think twice before my next PC purchase. As for my current PC, I kindly request your help with this situation.
Thank you

Can someone explain these strange hard drives, running windows xp pro 64 bit, installed in D drive. The C drive is accessible (67mb free after format) and the other (450mb/450mb free) is inaccessible. While I installed XP, all three drives where candidates for installation. This was a surprise because I was expecting one hard drive since its a laptop. Can anyone give me some info on these drives?

Hi,

I have a Dell XPS 15 9560 with a SK Hynix 512GB who gives me 1,800 and 800 mb/s.

I have the option to choose a Samsung PM961 512GB and I want to see a real benchmark from anyone, I want to confirm that this drive is faster.

I can not find recent reviews about it.

If I can get more speed, would be awesome for me.

And yeah I can notice the difference between my 960 EVO on my desktop and my laptop (SK Hynix 512GB).

Can Dell sell a lemon as a refurb?

The laptop I bought as a refurb  (E7450) has crashed with a very hardware serious error. Apparently it had the same/similar error two years ago. It is still under warranty. We returned it for repair. Dell held onto it for two weeks and then returned  it, replacing the power chord (!!!) and saying it had passed all tests. In fact it was in exactly the same state as when we returned it to Dell for repair (unbootable).  Anyone else have a similar problem?

Dell Precision 5520 using TB16 Thunderbolt dock having lan issues

We have a Dell Precision 5520 that uses a TB16 docking station that all of a sudden is having difficulties connecting to our VPN. It was fine earlier in the day. We tried clearing the DNS cache and tried a winsock reset. THe drivers are up to date and everything.

Also tried to reboot the computer multiple times.

Even tried a K17A Dock and had the same issue.

We were finally able to get the computer to connect to the vpn once we used a usb net adapter to plug the ethernet cable into.

Tried plugging the usb adapter into the computer directly and into the dock. It worked whether it was directly connected to the computer or the dock.

It only does not work when we connect the ethernet cable to into the lan port on the TB16 and K17A dock. And only for the one computer.

At a loss, any ideas?

7560 interpose cable

Just received my new 7560 i7 today with the 256 ssd, I have researched on here to fit another ssd. I believe the caddy is present but not the cable. I saw one guy quoted over 30 odd quid and then got it for under 2 when stating the USA price. I tried the same tack but got nowhere, rep says it's just shy of 40 quid and another 100 plus if someone came to fit it. This is the first Dell I have bought after usually going with hp. I must say I'm taken aback by the price and expected it to be in the machine in the first place. I have looked to source on flea bay with no luck. Has anyone got anywhere with this?  I'm beginning to regret my purchase. Jim

What is up with me and breaking things?

i was using my laptop in my room and i was turning it on after it had charged and then the song i had been listening to earlier had played right from were it had left off before it shut off. then the laptop fell from my bed and onto the floor and it suddenly shut off.

i guess you can say that me putting the laptop on my bed was irresponsible of me, but thats beside the point.

anyways, i plugged in my laptop again and to my suprise, it turned on. but there was one little thing i noticed on the battery icon. i put my mouse over it and it said "no battery detected".

could this mean that i irreparably damaged my laptop?

if so how do i fix it?

also, do i have to send screenshots and if so how do i post them?

CPU usage goes up when connecting USB device to Dell Latitude E6530 USB 3.0 port

Hi.

I have the same problem on a Dell Latitude E6530 from this post : en.community.dell.com/.../20013042

(I cannot answer in the original post, the forum gives me an error).

I use Windows 10 Pro 64 bits (1703).
The BIOS is up to date : version A20 (05/08/2017).

When I plug ou unplug a device on the USB 3.0 ports (right or left port), the System process goes up to ~15% CPU usage. I have to sleep/resume or reboot to have a normal CPU usage.
The CPU usage is taken by the ACPI.sys (found with Windows Performance Recorder).

This problem does not happen with USB 2.0 (rear port) or E-SATA port on right.

What can I do ?

Hello ...
i have a dell laptop " LATITUDE E5430 " ,, and i have a problem charging the battery ..
When i charge my battery ( if it was under 25% ), it works fine, but whenever it reachs 25% the battery stop charging and i get the message: 25% availble (Plugged in, not chargin).
i tried many solutions for this problem but non of them worked, and those are:
- updating the BIOS, Updating the Battery Driver.
-Trying another AC Adabter and i tried to i also tried something i sow on the forum when i have to remove the battery and ac adapter then hold the power button for 30 sec..etc, but still didn't work.
i want to note here that if the battery went to 0 - it can be charged to 25 % -
here i would like to add some notes about my problem:
-Whenever i remove the AC Adapter from the laptop ( when the charge is at 25% ) and i connect it again, the battery keep chargin for like 80 seconds, then i get the Plugged in not charging message again.
- i took a screenshot form the BIOS setup and it shows this: http://prntscr.com/goa0ma
- i went to Diagnostics when the laptop starts, and i made a video that will show the battery health and how i get the Idle status: (Please visit the site to view this video)

Thank you.. and i'm sorry for making this topic too long, but i just wanted to expalin my problem cz i can't find solutions.

Dell 15 XPS 9550 won't POST

I have a Dell 15 XPS 9550 with suspected liquid damage.  When turning on it illuminates the Power button LED for 20 seconds and then goes off and the front two LEDs both flash white once. Then nothing.

The screen never comes on.  The fans never spin up.  There are no beeps.

I have removed the battery and the CMOS battery.  I've stripped it right down cleaned it with Isopropyl Alcohol and put it back together - same result.  Makes no difference if battery is connected or not.

I've tried the memory in both slots.

Any ideas?

i have tried installing the driver from dell support site using the below exe, but it is getting interrupted.

Bizarre power issue.

Dell Lattitude E5530.

Symptoms:

1. When battery installed, no adapter is found. Battery won't charge. Computer will boot but not charge. BIOS says "NO ADAPTER FOUND"
2. When battery removed, adapter is found. Computer will boot. BIOS says "90W adapter".
3. When placed on Docking Station with Battery, no adapter found. Boots but won't charge.
4. When placed on dock with no battery, won't boot. If I plug an adapter into the dock and another into
the computer then it boots. BIOS then says "90W Adapter".
5. If I boot using the adapter, then plug in battery, battery LED goes out and it sees no adapter and shows battery not charging.
6. If I boot using the battery, then plug in the adapter and remove the battery, it shuts off and I have to reboot it.

What I've tried:
Updated all drivers.
Cannot update BIOS because this requires a partly charged battery AND an adapter. Comp won't see adapter when battery is plugged in.
I have tried 4 different 90W DELL adapters from Latitude computers (co-workers have same computer).
I have tried 2 other batteries besides the one that came with it.
Nothing makes any difference. No matter what combo of adapters and batteries I use, the symptoms remain the same.

Any suggestions would be most welcome!

Thanks!
