My 5547 had damaged on Antenna cable, so I replaced cable.
I disassembled bottom part and build.
However, I can't turn my laptop on.
I followed people said that "remove battery, push power button 30seconds, and turn on" but it didn't work.
I only put cooling fan and battery on motherboard, it doesn't work when I push the power button.
What should I do?
Please help me.
From few days while I was working I noticed the laptop screen goes black suddenly. Once I press the power button it goes to sleep and when I press the power button back it comes up fine. Bit from today when I am switching on the laptop, it boots fine but the screen does not work at all. I tried to remove ac power, removed the battery and then put everything back but the screen does not come live. Please somebody help me
My laptop came with a 165w charger, but it was recommended that I get a 180w to prevent it burning out as fast. Would it be safe to get a 240w?
Is Vostro 3300 able to work with 8GB installed in a single slot? Or I have to use two 4GB in both slots?
I have a 2014 Dell Inspiron 17r 4721 laptop. I lowered it on after it has been sitting on my desk for a 2 days (plugged in) and I get the following:
Black screen
7 faint statically beeps with a 1-2 second pause, then repeats.
I tried the following to fix this:
Powered it down and then disconnected the AC plug and Logitech mouse adapter.
Remove the battery
Held down the power button for 30 to 60 seconds.
Then connected back everything
Also tried:
Removing the CMOS battery
Sat for a day
Powered back up after assembly, still same result, 7 beeps
Any ideas what I should do?
I have other laptops older than this one that work great. This thing is only 3.5 years old.
We have recently received these new model type laptops from Dell in our company, but we seem to have issues trying to image them. We currently only can support UEFI boot imaging, but this particular model of laptop does not let us choose the boot order or pick the NIC manually.
When I go to Legacy mode, I can boot network without issues, but on UEFI it does not let me select anything. Even trying to select the boot manager results into no choice and continues loading Windows factory installation.
Any solution to this? How can I boot to PXE while in UEFI?

I own an old dell D520 that now runs Cloudready, but it produces a very annoying beeping sound when connected to the charger(not coming from the speakers, but from the laptop itself)? When it's unplugged it's fine. I tried looking in the BIOS itself but can't find anything to disable it... I read on an old article involving Bluetooth and disabling a setting but since it doesn't"t run Windows anymore i can't use that.
Any help would be appreciated!

We have a Dell Latitude 7480 attached to WD15 docking station over USB-C. Outputting to two monitors (DELL P2211H @ 1920x1080,60hz (miniDp to DVI) and DELL E2009W @ 1680 x 1050, 60hz (VGA))
At random intervals one of (or sometimes both) monitors will turn off as if no signal is being received, it’s off for a second or so then flashes back on). This is predominantly the DELL P2211H that disconnects. If it happens once it will usually happen a few more times before things settle.
I have tried a variety of other cabling configurations.
This is also happening with our only other Dell Latitude 7480 connected to a WD15 docking station - although outputting to two DELL P2211H monitors at 1920x1080 in this instance.

Dell Active pen PN556W includes the Latitude 7275 in its compatibility list. And It does work for limited selection and drawing functions, However, it does not show up under bluetooth devices and I can't get it to pair.
The laptop is up to date with drivers and bios including the ActivePen_APP_Driver_WIN_A02.
Seems strange that basic pen functions work, but it does not show up anywhere. Not in device manager, devices and printers or bluetooth devices. Device manager does show two unidentified devices, that windows can't find drivers for. Those devices have meaningless hardware IDs, so I can't look them up. I uninstalled them and the basic pen functions still work.

I just bought Dell vostro 15 laptop few weeks ago. It was working just fine. The problem occured few days ago. My laptop was getting stuck and there is no response for mouse click. So I plug out the battery and put it back. But When I power on the laptop just right after, it is not getting on. My AC adapter are working just fine. The white led turn on for few second and goes off. I tried to do what normal people do. I watched the YouTube videos and search for any information in the hope of getting a solution. I didn't get anything useful. So help me sort this out.
I have recently ordered a Dell Precision Mobile Workstation 17 7720 with 16Gb (2 x 8GB modules) of 2667 non-ECC DDR4 memory installed.
I checked and see that Crucial shows that they offer compatible 2 x 16Gb modules of 2666 MT/s SODIMM memory upgrades...
Does anyone actually know if this additional memory will work with the workstation's current BIOS revision?
It used to a couple of days ago. I have Windows 10 and had to do a refresh of the OS and now I don't get the Dell logo on the screen on startup. I can't hit F2 and go to bios. Can't hit F12 to go to boot option. On startup I get a slightly lighted screen for 2 seconds and then off to Windows 10 Desktop. Computer runs fine from there. No bios startup screen. Any ideas why this happened and how to get back to normal?
Hello my Dell Inspiron's GPU is failing, resulting in digital vertical stripes on screen and freezing. This is the second time it happens. I resolved it for a few months with a simple baking. However. I wouldn't like to repeat this many times and I am looking to buy a new motherboard. However I don't find anything on the internet about 0YXXJJ. I would like to get the same one. Hello everyone , I have managed to update my device to latest Windows 10, however I cannot find anywhere info if I do have a Bluetooth or not in my device. In settings it states "Bluetooth and other devices" and "add Bluetooth or other device", but when I click on it says can't connect... all help I would really appreciate :)

I have a Dell XPS 15 which is a 9530 that has the same issue as the 9550 with extreme battery swelling and the touchpad no longer works due to this swelling. I'm being told that they will not replace it even though I have a valid warranty and complete care on this system. I guess complete care isn't all that complete if they don't cover the warranty. Maybe Dell would prefer to pay for my entire home and all contents when it burns to the ground because of this faulty battery?
The real question is why would Dell refuse to replace a battery that is obviously part of the same problem as the 9550? Seems a lot cheaper than buying me a new home after the fire.
My SSD and HDD are not detected by the eSATA port via a powered eSATA to SATA cable.
The drive is powered by the port but BIOS and Windows 10 are unable to see the drive
There are no drivers missing in the Device Manager

Inspiron 5565 Windows 10. Touchpad buttons worked fine until yesterday. They are not stuck and both left and right buttons click when pushed. Touchpad setting have not been changed. Please help.

My computer is running at close to full useage 98-100% cpu and 90% memory
but, I only have 3 chrome Windows opened.
There are 64 background processes running. Everything except for Chrome is at 0 or close to 0.
