At the beginning of this week, all of the sudden, the FPS on all my games starting dropping tremendously, I have factory reset the laptop yesterday, but the issue is still there. I suspect it might have something to do with the heat because my laptop is always so hot, but the problem is I have an Alienware 17 R3 so it is basically impossible for me to reach my fan without having to disassemble my entire laptop.

I have an Inspiron 15-7568 that seems to beep utterly at random. It beeps anywhere between one and fifty times and no matter how many times it beeps they're spaced exactly evenly and not following any sort of pattern. This occurs both when the system is running Windows as well as when it's closed & asleep.
How can I turn off the internal speaker? The complete lack of pattern suggests to me this is not as some sort of alert/message so I'm just looking to make it shut up.
is there a spot on the motherboard of this 3 year old laptop for an M.2 drive? If not,any recommendations on an SSD or would i not see much benefits of upgrading to an SSD? Currently it has the 750GB 7200RPM SATA 6Gb/s. I'm hoping but not holding out much hope to do this add add another 8gb memory ...

So, thing is - it came with Windows 10 installed, and as a full time Linux user, you can guess the first thing I done.
Yet under Ubuntu 17.04, Ubuntu 16.04, Linux Mint 18.2 I consistently got strange error, when system freezes fully, not even leaving kernel panic or display manager fail logs. It was rather frustrating as you can imagine, and thus I tried to find official Ubuntu build for it, hoping to get some solutions to my problems for it (according to this, my model supposedly is tested for Ubuntu compatibility, and no major failures were found, but I think Canonical is not affiliated with Dell, and that argument has no power here)
Also Fn + Down/Up (PageUp/PageDown) combinations aren't working under those distributions as well.
And yes, I tried this Dell's pageto download Ubuntu from Dell, but it constantly redirects me back to Windows 10 image :(

I bought a dell battery with serial "CN-07D1W-71802-8NX-06W7-A03". The battery charges fine and works ok but when the laptop is tapped, it goes off. The dell service center guys say the issue is with the battery. As, in it's not original. This doesn't make sense to me. The machine goes off even when it's on adapter when lightly tapped. What could be the potential issues?

My Latitude E6400 hasn't been charging. It claims that the AC adaptor isn't working. It turns on when it's plugged in, but it's stuck at 3%
I have a Dell Inspiron 11 3000 series 2 in 1 laptop and recently (within the past few days), some of the keys on my keyboard are not working when I start up the laptop. After my laptop has been on for a few minutes, they seem to work fine but they still randomly stop working for a few seconds at a time. For instance, they are working just fine right now. The keys that do this are all close together on the keyboard (which I feel like that has something to do with it) and are listed below.

I should also point out that the keys are not broken or loose. I'm only guessing that this is a hardware problem and that it can be fixed if I have tools or something, but I'm not a tech wizard, so I don't know for sure.

I have a dell Inspiron i5 5559 laptop and I need to upgrade my normal lcd screen into touch screen. Is it possible?
We have out of warranty laptop a Latitude E6430 that is having an issue with the network driver is going unknown until you restart the system, a BIOS update will fix the issue according to the update page, however I tried to update the BIOS from windows it didn't update the system restarts and nothing happens same with DOS update.
Is there any solution for this?

I am a happy buyer of the latest dell gaming laptop 7567 with the i7 7700 HQ and the GTX 1050TI.
I have noticed while gaming that the GPU temp remains in good levels (max 70 degrees Celcius) but the CPU goes all the way up to low 90s sometimes which makes me a bit scared as I know that the max operational temp for this CPU is 100 degrees Celcius.
The fans kick in while gaming and they seem to be in full load. The low 90s appear for just a bit, but the temp remains still at high 80s on games like Battlefield 1, Rise of the Tomb Raider etc. Even Archeage manages to put the CPU temp up to 85 degrees Celcius.
The laptop was bought in April, temp in the room is around 25-27 degrees Celcius when I am gaming.
Should I be worried ? Is it something normal?

I have a Dell vostro 3560 , on start up the fan can be heard for a few seconds then continuous standard beeps forever. Beeps do not stop and no screen. Tried f12 , doesn't work. Removed battery and cleaned , nothing happening. Installed new ram, no joy.

I have tried two brand new external DVD drives on my brand new laptop. The first was not recognised and the second powered up and down in a continuous few-second loop.
Both drives work perfectly on older laptops and desktops.
I suspect that the problem is that there is not enough power through the usb port to run the drive. I don't really want to buy a DVD drive with a power plug - or have to use a powered usb hub. Can anyone recommend a dvd drive that will work with an XPS 15 9560 with a single usb connection, please?

I own a M6800 that is not equipped with backlit keyboard and I was wondering if is possible to replace it with a backlit one. Are those two cross-compatible?
Also, I've been reading that people have problems setting the time for M6800 backlit kb (as there is no app for it) and they were using older version of Dell Enhancement Pack intended for M6700. If a replacement for my situation is technically possible, I would also appreciate a solution for controlling/configuring the light on the keyboard.

I've been using PC for over 40 years and this is new. Just got a new Alienware 17 R4
The C (boot) drive is the SSD and is only 60gb, the data drive is 1 tb.
In the past and even as recently as Feb 2014 when I got my last Alienware 17 the C drive has ALWAYS been the larger of the two drives.
Do you think Dell would have told me that they changed their implementation? No. Tech support wasn't helpful. They basically said this is the way it is now so deal with it.
Meanwhile under the assumption this new laptop still had C as the large drive I've spent 15+ hours over the last couple days migrating data and installing programs and now C is full.
Now my choice is uninstall everything I've loaded, move my data and hope I get it right etc etc or ship it back..

So I recently upgraded the mobo in my E6420 from the intel hd to the NVS board which left me with a spare board.
Then I had an idea: I have a parts lenovo with an i3-3120m, and the i3 fit in the socket.
So I put the CPU in the Dell board, put a battery on it, turned it on, and it stayed on, it even warmed up!
The only problem is that I was getting no display output, But I think that has more to do w/ the i3 having HD 4000 rather than HD 3000.
Any insights on this would be helpful.
I was extremely disappointed in my attempt to purchase (Dell Purchase ID: 2005718625152) a computer from the Dell website. Although I have paid for the computer, which the amount was withdrawn from my account (in my bank account exhibits this message $ 2,086.50 DEBIT AUTHORIZATION Sep11 10:59a 5046AT 10:59 DELL SALES & SERVI 866-393-9460), the Dell insisted during 3 days that my bank refused the card. So I requested the cancellation of the purchase. According to the agent in the chat with a Dell sales representative, the purchase was canceled, but I did not receive confirmation by e-mail and after 4 days the money still did not return to my account. I'd like to buy a computer in another store, but I need my money back to do this purchase. Therefore, in this moment I have no computer and no money. A total disappointment. I have always bought DELL computers, but this time I will change and I will never buy a DELL computer again.
I just replaced my previous 17" Inspirion with a new Model 5767 (17") and the backlit keyboard remains lit at all times, 24/7, even after the screen has gone dark. I keep the system running 24/7, never going into sleep mode as long as it's plugged in, the same as I have done for all laptops in the past.
The previous Inspiron 17 also has the backlit keyboard, and it works perfectly, going dark shortly after being idle.
I have gone to all the mentioned steps, including the Windows Mobility Center and resetting the idle time setting to all of the different options, but the keyboard remains lit at all times...
I should not have to resort to manually turning the backlight on and off as needed. and to do so requires I open the Windows Mobility Center, as the noted keyboard shortcuts appear to work ( <Fn>+<F10> )
Any Help Appreciated. I just spend a week doing a clean install of all my software and files to clean things up from older system to system transfers to eliminate things that were no longer needed and don't want to do that all over again if this system is faulty!!

ePSA passes.
Dell Diagnostics Long Test gives a "S.M.A.R.T. Wear Level use warning" on the SSD
Kingston's diagnostics software reports no errors on both short and extended S.M.A.R.T tests.
I don't see anything wrong with the laptop, except I have now started imagining sometimes Windows is slow to boot up. Otherwise laptop runs great.
So how can I reliably discover if my SSD is dying or not given two conflicting reports? Should I trust Dell's Diagnostics over the manufacturer (Kingston)?
