I just purchased a Latitude 5580 laptop with a 128 gbyte m.2 ssd. I'd like to add some more storage. Can I put a second SSD or an HDD in this laptop or am I limited to one drive.?

Dell D6000 Dock Display Problems
Hi,
I bought a new D6000 Universal Dock to use on my XPS2720 AIO desktop to extend to a pair of DelU2711 displays, replacing a Toshiba U3 Dynadock (it couldn't do both display on 4K). Both screens are running on 2560x1440 resolution, connected by DisplayPort cables. Resolutions & colours are fine, but one screen is constantly flickering & the other 'blinks' about every 30 seconds or so, almost unusable. I have just done a clean Factory Install of the XPS 2720 (updated the 8.1 to 10 Pro again) & updated all drivers, but problem persists.

Alienware Wrong service tag information, need it changed/updated
Own an Alienware M18xR2 laptop
Connected it to dells website in 2015 and the site listed its country of origin as UK
Keyboard - UK
Windows 7 Ultimate SP1 - UK
Power brick - UK
Fixed a corrupted BIOS a few days ago with a BIOS update but now Dells website says the following
Country of Origin - Germany
Keyboard - German
Windows 7 Ultimate SP1 - German
Power brick - EU
My service tag hasn't changed but now I can't use Dells website as it defaults to German
Is it possible for someone at Dell to change the information connected to my service to display the correct information ? This laptop was not even bought in Germany, and since this problem has started, Dells website won't even update my current configuration either.

Dell inspiron 15 3000 will not turn on after it was left without battery
my grandfather bought me a laptop and I'm planning to use it for online college. The charger was 45w and came with the laptop, that charger ended up bending near the charge and I had to order a new one from a company that wasn't dell. Thr new charger is a baturu 65w and the laptop is charged because the blue light is full and not yellow/orange. Now when I hit the power, five seconds later it blinks and turns off. There is noise but no startup. I try again and nothing. I followed things online and nothing. Is it the battery?
I couldn't get a new charger straight away when it had no charge but I made sure to leave at least 15+ left of battery

Dell Thunderbolt Dock TB16 -240W & Logitech Unifying Receiver
I have just received the TB16, that I use with my Precision 5510. I have connected my mouse and keyboard with the Logitech Unifying Receiver on a USB port. The connection works, but the mouse freezes about half of the time, and the keyboard misses many of the keys typed. So it is basically not usable. When the receiver is plugged directly into the computer's usb plug, the mouse and keyboard are perfectly smooth.
I have tried to connect the received on a DA200 connected on the Thunderbolt port of the TB16. This also works smoothly. So the problem only comes from the USB ports of the TB16 (both USB 2 and USB 3 ports).

power on problems
hi i'm using inspiron n5010. from the last few days, my laptop won't turning on , to turn on my laptop , removing battery holding the power key for 30 seconds and again inserting the battery then it will starts. iam doing the same process for each and every time to turn on. what's wrong with my laptop and also i didn't heard any beep sounds while pressing the power key. battery , charging cable are also fine. please kindly give me solution to start normally. thanking you

Missing jsata connector on Dell latitude 14 5480 motherboard...
Hi.
I was trying in install a ssd drive in my new 5480 but there is no connector present on the motherboard, just the m.2 sata connector is present. Do I have to get hold of a motherboard with both jsata and m.2 sata ?connector?
When I looked at motherboard images online, the jsata connector is present beside the m.2 sata connector, but is missing from mine.
I have the correct cable from the ssd to the motherboard...could I get the motherboard replaced under prosupport?
If anyone can advise, I would appreciate it.

Need Dell Windows Recovery Image for Vostro 3700
Windows 7 will not boot. My recovery USB stick will not give me the option to restore to factory settings. Diagnostics does not find any problem. So I need the Dell Windows Recovery Image to do this. But this is not available for my particular computer. Why the heck not? Have I been a naughty boy?
Now what? I have got the computer running using bootlegged stuff to make a bootable USB drive. But I'd rather be legit and actually have the computer working properly.
I was able to copy the factory.wim from the D Recovery partition to an external drive. But I have failed to find out whether I can, or how, to use it to reset my system.

Laptop N7110 Win7 re-install drivers help
Hello,
I have just re-installed Windows 7 Home Premium on my new hard drive successfully.
However, I cannot connect to the network, and in Device Manager, there are missing network adapters.
I ran the driver disk utility, which came with this laptop, and all of the network drivers there have checkmarks next to them (to indicate they're installed).
Next, I went to the Drivers and Downloads link: ,entered my service tag, and downloaded all suggested drivers for my laptop.
However, I'm confused as to what to do now - thanks for any leads.

Dock TB16 USB connection issues - Tech support teams not taking responsibility
Posting this while in the middle of a THREE HOUR call with technical & customer support. I'm connecting my TB16 to an Alienware 15 R3 and the TB16 has issues with USB peripherals (mouse, keyboard, and audio interface) where it would disconnect periodically. Sometimes it would work for a week, sometimes for only 10 seconds...extremely inconsistent. BIOS and Drivers are all up to date. So I basically connect my peripherals directly to the laptop, and use TB16 for display port and ethernet.
Prior to purchasing the TB16, Dell confirmed that it would work with my AW 15 R3. I finally called Dell tech support to resolve this issue, but they sent me to Alienware Premium support because they say this is an Alienware issue. Alienware then say they do not troubleshoot Dell docks at all and sent me back to Dell support, who (not surprisingly) say they can't solve this issue because it is an Alienware issue. So all this back and forth, from speaking with 7 different reps, I finally get sent back to Alienware premium support team again, and they tell me that Alienware do not support the TB16 and that they ABSOLUTELY cannot help at all. My biggest gripe is that no one is taking responsibility for this and I'm being passed along from 1 rep to the next. (I almost think I'm on the phone with Comcast customer service)
I'm past 30 days for a return and refund, so they only option I have now is to exchange it for another TB16 and pray that my original is a lemon. I'm almost certain that the replacement won't work either but I'm out of options.

RAM for the Inspiron 7779 above 16GB?
Hello all,
I used "CPU-Z" on my new Inspiron 7779 and it said I had 2 (two) memory slots. Currently only one is populated with a 16 GB DIMM. Given that there are two slots, that does beg the question of whether the 7779 will support an additional 16GB DIMM.
The documentation on the 7779, sparse though it may be, indicates that 16GB is the largest supported memory configuration.
So .. can I add additional RAM to the 7779?

Dell Power Companion PW7015L Review - Won't Hold a Charge - Not Recommended
Hi,
Purchased a Dell Power Companion PW7015L in May 2016.
Used a handful of times in the last 12 months. Has now completely stopped working and will not a hold charge.
If I plug it into charge, the white light comes on to indicate charging, but you can leave it hours and it will have no juice. Indicator lights don't light up to show battery health and if you plug it in my XPS 15 or put a USB phone charger in zero power. Tried all troubleshooting tips posted on threads with people with similar problems.
Unfortunately out of warranty as over a year old. But I think this product is a bit of a flop to only last a year. It's a fairly simple product and has not been run into the ground. I could understand the battery flopping if I was charging and draining daily. But it is used once a month max. So I imagine there is an inherent fault with this unit that was present from the time of purchase. Other forum users posting their power companions are not charging properly too would also indicate this.
Supplier I bought it from via Amazon offers no help. Dell just pass the buck as they don't deal with customer service enquiries for orders from third parties. So overall a disappointing experience.
Does anyone have some good alternatives for powering a dell laptop on the go? XPS 15.

Dell-Inspiron 3537-Booting up issues
Dear Support Team,
Having a dell-inspiron 3537 recently we are facing the below mentioned issues,
1. The system some time is powering up and some time is not powering up.
2. For powering up we need to press & hold the power button for multiple times then it will powerup.
3. If we try to restart also the same issue happening. Again and again we need to press the power button to power up.
4. At this time power indicator light is glowing, Exhaust fan working.
5. Tried dell diagnostics too no error was found.

My Inspiron 15 7000 Series 7559 won't start up
I recently purchased a Inspiron 15 7000 Series 7559 with no problems until now. I had this laptop for about a week and then randomly this problem occurred today. I was in the middle of playing some Overwatch and my computer screen just shut off. At first I just thought, "Oh I guess I'll just reboot, game might've crashed it." But to my surprise, the screen wouldn't turn on after that. It's strange though because the keyboard and power button still light up. I've looked all over on multiple support forums to find an answer to this strange issue I'm having, nothing seems to work. I've removed my battery and drained it because I've heard about static building up in the battery but with no success. I've tried using the BIOS recovery but using the key combinations doesn't even bring up the menu on the screen. I'm out of options so I've decided to post about it here, hoping someone can help me. Also if this is a potential hardware issue that would be highly useful information considering my warranty is still active on this laptop, thanks.

Dell XPS 9350 Bios upgrade
My laptop Dell XPS 9350: BIOS 1.4.18 updated august 20.
From the very next day the dell system detect is showing a BIOS update is required,
But when I download it shows its the latest download is: older BIOS version 1.0.0 released in 2015.
I did not install and contact dell support right away to verify, end up listening to that I do not have warranty anymore. so they cant support.
My query is whether I should be downgrading my BIOS?
I am not sure this is the right forum to ask, I apologize.
Anybody having similar issue?

Dell XPS 15 9550 does not recognise external mouse
My Dell XPS 15 9550 has some issue related to mouse devices lately. Previously, it has Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) crashes quite often and the computer was lagging. So I googled some solutions and remove/update some drivers. I think the pointing device/mouse was the root of the problem. It has been a week and the BSOD has not occurred. However, in Device Manager, there is a triangle error sign on the "PS/2 Compatible mouse" (error message is "This device cannot start. (Code 10)"). If I update the driver, the touchpad does not work so I uninstalled it and the triangle sign appears. I leave that for now as I need to use my touchpad.
However, none of the external mouse works. I have tried 3 mouses: 1 usb mouse, 1 wireless Logitech mouse, and 1 Microsoft bluetooth mouse. None of them works. These mouse work on other devices. For the logitech mouse, it is connected via a unifying dongle which is also connected to a wiresless keyboard. The keyboard works fine but not the mouse, and it is very frustrating.
Does anyone have any idea how to fix this issue? I use windows 10 btw

Black Screen while machine is still running - Dell Inspiron 27 7000
Hi,
I received a Dell Inspiron 27 7000 all-in-one pc early this week. I have used it in the last couple of nights (very light usage). The machine randomly goes black screen quite a few times every day. I can only force shut down the machine in order to reboot when the problem occurs. What's even worse, there are different issues when I try to start it again. Sometimes it complains I am using a non-genuine AC power adapter but of course I am. Other times it just shows different colors in full screen mode. Then the only way to start the machine is by unpluging it from the powerpoint for a few minutes so it somehow restarts from scratch.
Another interesting observable was: When I was doing skype screen sharing with my friend last night, it suddently had the black screen problem. I could still talk to my friend but no longer able to see the screen. Because I was sharing the screen, my friend saw the error message on my screen: Power surge on USB Port. Not sure if it's relevant but I looked it up online . Tried reinstall all the USB controllers but did not help.
I have also done all the windows updates, dell updates, drive updates but the problem remains unfixed.
I am an IT professional so good at troubleshooting most of the problems. This one seems to be a defect in the hardware/drivers.
Can any one please help?

laptop turnoff issue ! unable to turn off .
When i shut down normally the screen goes black but the lights are still on
i tried disabling the turn on fast satartup but it still doesnt shut down
dell inspiron i5
When i press shut down, the laptop will shut down as usual but at the end the processor and the lid is still on.. i need to turn it off by long press power button ,
i tired to upgrade all bios drivers
When i put my laptop into sleep mode, no matter i press what button, it still wont awake..
May i know any solution to resolve this?
