Gaming laptop? Yea right! You can't pull more than 115mbps via WiFi speeds. Try LAN? Even bigger joke! 145mbps MAX when it's 1Gbps..
I connected via the 1Gbps LAN adapter.
This is wired LAN speed test.
All my other devices have no issues pulling 300+ mbps on wired speeds tests or even WiFi AC tests..Dell is so sub par!

Today my laptop won't stay on.when i power it on my keyboard and power button.
Lights up for like 4 second then goes off..when I remove my ram and power on my lapeople is stays on with fan on high speed.until I power down but if I put my ram back in it won't stay on to give display..please help..
I have a Dell Inspiron 13 7359 2 in 1 and the screen flickers with white dots constantly. At certain angles and also while starting up the screen the screen does not flicker. It does not flicker on an external monitor either. Can you tell me whats wrong and how to fix it Thank you.
My dell power companion pw7015m has stopped charging
I have tried 2 different dell chargers
If I press the button briefly the orange tight blinks (Low charge)
If I press the button for 10 seconds 2 solid white lights are illuminated (40-60% battery capacity remains)

I seriously do not understand why I can not find an answer to this question. I need to clone my drive because it is failing. The oem drive is connected and only answered to it's own motherboard. Got it. My drive is failing. I need a new drive installed. I want the whole drive coppied/cloned so I can just slap the new drive in it and have it fire up with it's own original oem purchased licensed copy of windows. Why is this so hard to find an answer too?
I also do not understand why there are so many partitions. Been building computers for years and working on them. Why would you need more than the oem partition and a backup area for idiots plus the main drive? Seriously?
Anyways, don't me to be a jerk. It's jut frustrating that I can not get an answer.

WOW, i never experienced something like this, i cant find a proper driver for my DELL XPS 9343.
Why so many people complain about this problem and DELL cant take responsibility and help their customers that pay a lot of money for something that is not even working properly.

My hard drive died on my Studio 1555. Purchased a new drive and tried to install windows 10 but can't get by the splash screen. I tried a several DVD's and USB's with the windows 10 ISO mounted. I even had Microsoft create one of the USB drives. They tell me to contact Dell. The laptop is 9 years old and I can't even get the original windows 7 operating system on, that stops on the "starting windows" screen. I nuked the drive with DBAN. It has to be a hardware issue. Any help would be helpful. Thank you in advance..
hello everybody, my name is Brian, I own a dell xps 13 (9350) purchased in 2017, but its the 2016 model with intel iris 540 graphics, its also the model with the QHD+ touch-screen, 3200x1800 resolution.
not sure if it matters what else the system has spec-wise, but ill include that also.
My question is in regards to the colors, and what this screen is producing picture/video quality-wise when I'm viewing colorful photos, or watching videos with colors on youtube;
I've watched quite a handful of videos on youtube about the dell xps 13, and a lot of them suggest that this laptop comes "a touch off" in terms of color gamma and/or color accuracy - whatever that means, but they say the xps 13 out of the box, with no settings adjusted other than what dell and intel have done, that the color and screen needs to be calibrated.
how do I know what to do and how to check if I need it? I mean, everything seems to be good looking, but if its off and I just don't know it, I would like to know how to modify these "said" settings, as I want the most out of my xps 13!
I'm also experimenting with different power-plan settings, trying to configure this machine for the best possible battery-life, and also longevity in overall-life span. meaning I want to preserve this machine in ways possible, without reducing any of the added benefits of having such a high-performing laptop.
I bought this xps 13 from a friend, we actually traded. I gave him my ipad pro 12.9" with a ton of accessories, and he gave me the laptop; so its got some hardcore specs, and honestly idk if I really need some of them, lol - I say that only because Idk how to even utilize what this machine has under its hood, in all honesty.
its got an i7-6560u processor, 16gb of ram (the ram I'm happy with, from what ive read, ram is important to have a lot of - because it in some way "future-proofs" the machine), its also got a 512GB NVMe SSD, which is Toshiba's, and I ran the crystaldiskmark benchmark and got 1575 MB/sec for the read, and 944.5 MB/sec for the write; - I think that's decent, for this machine, but honestly not even sure what those numbers mean LOL. on top of those specs, its also got a QHD+ touch screen, and the intel iris 540 graphics card.
so, anybody have any experience with intels graphics control panel and the options and settings within, and maybe want to chime in and help a fellow newb out? :)

Hi there, Im pretty desperate right now. I was having problems booting from and USB drive on my Vostro 5470 and I tried to disable "secureboot" and enabled "Legacy" on the BIOS setup screen. Right now the notebook wont boot and wont open the BIOS setup either (Preparing to enter setup).
I tried disconnecting the Hard Drive, tried disconnecting the RAM, I tried disconnecting the BIOS battery and pressing the power button for a while...
Nothing will get me past the Dell logo screen.
What can I do to solve this? Please, help!

I have a Dell Inspiron 13-5378. Just bought it at the beginning of the year. It's the 8GB RAM/Intel i5 7200-U/1TB HDD version.
I've been meaning to find the ram speed/frequency so I can add an extra 8GB ram stick to upgrade my laptop. I've been googling all over the place and when I opened up my Dell, I couldn't find the ram details.
I originally got an "8GB Module DDR4 2133MHz Unbuffered CL15 SODIMM" to upgrade. However, it messed up my laptop badly because the frequencies didn't match up
Anybody know which ram would work or the exact piece of ram is inside my laptop so I can get that? The closest I think would work would be this "Crucial CT8G4SFS824A 8GB Single DDR4 2400 MT/s PC4-19200 SODIMM 260-Pin Memory:, however I don't want the same issue of overheating because of the wrong piece of ram happening again.

So like many others with the 5547 I had the right hinge issue. I decided to fix it myself after seeing everyone have issues getting it fixed here. The part was cheap and after watching some videos it's pretty straight forward to replace the pal rest that the hinge attaches to. So my problem after reassembling everything is that the laptop won't boot up and gives me the 4 beeps that repeat. After research it shows that this means there is a problem with the ram memory. I tried the common fix of re seating the ram stick, moving them around and trying just one at a time. Each test still gave me the 4 beeps. I tried turning it on without the ram sticks and it gave me 2 beeps meaning no ram detected, so I'm assuming my motherboard is functioning properly. The computer was working just fine before all of this. So what should I do next? Did I somehow screw up both of my ram sticks?
My laptop has been acting up for almost a week. The issue I'm having is that my laptop will turn on, go to dell logo, then turns off then on, and does it all over again. I've ran the diagnostics test but no errors come out. Says all test passed. What can I do to fix it?

After taking the latest recommended updates (why do I do it?) external mouse and keyboard now have problems. The keyboard is especially annoying and it inserts multiple key-repeats. It's infrequent but enough to really annoy. Please fix ASAP.
My 18-month old XPS 13 started outputting double spaces/not outputting spaces at all last week. Sometimes the problem is manageable (15-20 words), sometimes it is every other word.
I've seen others with the same problem and have tried the recommended steps: updated the BIOS, back-rolled the BIOS, changed repeat rate settings, etc. The problem remains.
I'm convinced it is a software issue as after taking off the spacebar and using the rubber node underneath the problem still occurs.
Is there a way to fix this? Was this caused by a recent update? Any help would be great.

* HDD : Seagate Barracuda 2TB 6Gb/s
* SSD : Samsung mSATA 32GB SSD
* Graphics : Intel HD Graphics 4000 + AMD HD 7730M
* OS : Windows 10 Enterpriise x64 Creator Update
My problem is that when i install a fresh copy of windows 8.1 and attempt to install AMD HD 7730M driver and restart my laptop it no longer boot and stuck at this BOSD :
So, what's causing this problem?
