Could you help me about replace battery? Dell 9550-2341, warranty expires Aug 8, 2017.
I'm from Belarus, and called to Dell Russia with this problem, but Dell Russia can not help me in Belarus. Where can i find new battery for replacement it? If need, i can send for you the service tag of my laptop.

I purchased a Dell XPS 13" 9343 two years ago and my battery just got swollen - one side of the keyboard/pad got lifted. I've contacted the local Dell support, and in addition to that that the guy was rude, he they told me that battery warranty is only for 1 year so they cannot replace it for me.
I find it really disappointing, especially to their top tier laptop series. It's only 2 years and the battery is "dead". I think it is unacceptable for a company like Dell to have that kind of issues and not to solve them although the warranty period has passed.
I am aware that batteries capacity can drop, and their performance is decreasing over time. But in my opinion, swollen batteries is something that shouldn't happen, it's a safety vulnerability.
I really hope that Dell will consider this case again and replace the battery even though the warranty time has passed.
My SD card reader on my Precision M4600 has not been working ever since I upgraded to Windows 10. It doesn't look like there is a new driver for the SD reader from what I can tell. Is there any other solution or 3rd party driver that I could use to get m SD card reader to work? I really would like to be able to use it again.....
The device manager lists my smart card reader as Broadcom Usbccid Smartcard Reader (WUDF)

Have a XPS 13 L321X (2012) and am looking to boot from USB via UEFI. Im not seeing any options in the BIOS for this. Is this laptop capable of booting UEFI or any way to enable it?

My laptop is a bit bit over 1.8 year old. The fist year I had sent into service 3x for this same issue. As such as it goes the issue has come back. I have tried the removing battery and draining excess power. Sadly no power up. Any more Ideas?

In the first image there is a purple dot in left-bottom corner of my screen
In the second image there are purple horizontal lines across the screen
The display freezes timely and those lines come and go making me impossible to work.
Laptop is 3-4 years old, is it done ?
Hey Guys - this one is strange:
Attempting to use the Dell D6000 universal USB-C dock but it will not wake the laptop upon plugging in USB-C. The current workaround is to disable Sleep upon closing lid while connected to AC. From there, you can plug in USB-C, shut the lid, and still have your desktop accessible from external devices connected to the dock.
Ideally, you can shut the lid, put the thing to sleep while you are walking back to your desk, plug in the USB-C and all peripherals light up. All 'wake on USB' and 'USB support' features have been enabled in the BiOS in addition to above workaround.
Any insight and help would be greatly appreciated!
I am currently working from my Inspiron 5558 Signature Edition laptop.
When I close the laptop, the back begins to separate from the front, the actual display monitor.
This is a problem that showed up five months after I purchased the laptop in November of 2015. I have had the laptop worked on in a local shop twice. The fixes have been temporary. The second time the shop owner said he would have preferred to replace the part, I forget what he called it, but said he could not find the part.
I would appreciate any suggestions.

Iam new owner of a XPS 15 9560 (i7, 8GB, FHD) since 4 weeks.
Bacause the XPS 15 does not have Ethernet port I bought external USB 3.0 hub + Gigabit ethernet adapter - https://www.i-tec.cz/?lng=en&t=3&v=447
If I plug it into the left USB port everithing works like expected.
However if I plug it into the right USB port the hub disconnect itself every few minutes.
USB 2.0 devices plugged into the hub stay connected whole time but Ethernet and USB 3.0 devices gets disconnect for few seconds and ther reconnect back.
If I resume system from sleep while the hub is connected to the left port it stuck in connect-disconnect loop until I manualy disconnect the hub from the port...
It hapens in Windoes 10 and also in latest Ubuntu 17.04 (In linux it just disconnect with "usb tx status -71 error")
I tried:
Update all drivers.
Update BIOS to the latest version - currently 1.3.4.
Enable / Disable USB PowerShare in BIOS.
Disable "USB selective suspend setting" in Windows power config.
Disable "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" in all USB hubs and devices.
Disable all build in USB devices (Bluetooth, Webcam) and Wi-Fi.
Replace the external hub with new one. (RMA).
Nothing helped.
In my desktop PC the hub works without any problem...
Does anyone have any suggestion please?
I have tried EVERYTHING to get manual control of the fans and haven't been able to reliably control them. Tried Speedfan, HWinfo, the bios, etc. and can't get PWM control or to setup my own fan control curve.
The laptop bottom is running too warm for my taste at low workloads which is inconvenient when using it in my lap and I just want to turn on the fans instead of having them off.
Can anyone help out?

I`ve just bought new Latitude 5480 and i doesn`t seems to be working fine.
For the record, today Dell technician did replace my motherboard and palmrest. Fingerprint reader was reading my fingerprints with 1 to 15 success rate :) NFC once was working, other time was not, and the space between fingerprint and NFC reader was getting very hot. After replacing fingerprint is working much better, NFC stops working, and getting hot issue still occurs.
I don`t have a smartcard to check is it working or not.
Anyway...
I am trying to configure Windows logon by fingerprint and/or NFC feature. Because Dell didn`t provide me any software (only drivers) I am trying to achieve that with windows Hello. After I configure it, it saves my fingerprint and asks me for PIN (it says that is "just in case of fingerprint problems"). When I try to logon only two methods that appears to me is standard password and PIN. It doesn`t respond to my finger at all, without any error message or nothing else- just like the fingerprint didn`t exist.
I still don`t know how to configure to logon to my computer with my smartfone. To older models Dell provides Dell Data Protection software that includes all of that features. In my laptop I don`t have any of it and I pay a lot of money for that business device.
Do You have any ideas?

I am just about to make a purchase on the Dell Inspiron 15 7000 Gaming (7567). I would like to use this with external monitors via the HDMI port (and leave the laptop CLOSED). I have seen that some people have experienced issues with this:
-lag/stuttering on the external monitor
-black screen on the external monitor
-video drivers crashing
Has anyone else hooked up external monitors via the HDMI port? Have you experienced these types of issues?
It would inform my decision to buy or not.

Can I replace the 128gb sata m.2 ssd with a nvme ssd? I see that the 4k screen model comes with a nvme ssd, but do not know if the motherboards are different.

My laptop repeatively pops the dell logo for a few seconds but then goes black and then pops the dell logo again. I have tried using the method where you take out the battery and the ac adapter and hold the power button for at least a few seconds but once i reassembled the items, it still acted the way it was from the beginning.
Hello all, I've recently purchased this laptop (Just out of best buy direct return policy) and It has remained docked at my desk since.
I used the keyboard briefly during setup, but otherwise have been using my mechanical - well the other day I decided to use it and the backspace key popped up. Saw that the clips on the key itself were broken on one side.
I don't want to have to wait without my computer in hopes that this may be covered by warranty repair if I send it in, but I cannot find this keyboard anywhere but Ebay.
I would purchase it from ebay but the only sellers are located in hong kong and it would take quite a while and not be an assured fit.
Any ideas? Part number, etc? Basically I would just buy a new keyboard and take the backspace key off of it.
I saw that theres a website for laptop replacement keys, but this particular model isn't listed. Is this keyboard shared with other models, just with either no backlight or with white text instead of red? I would accept a different kind of key if its the right size.

I have about a year and a half old XPS 9343 and the monitor has suddenly stopped working. When I plug it into an external monitor everything shows up fine. I have tried all the standard reset fixes to no avail. No drops or issues - just stopped working. When I go to display it only detect the external monitor.
Any help is appreciated.

Our test device had a main memory with a total of 2 gigabytes RAM at disposal. Divided into two modules with 1024MB memory chips of the type DDR2 PC2-6400 with 800MHz were at use. At the moment Dell indicates a maximum memory development of 4096MB, although the Montevina platform from Intel could be equipped with up to 8GB RAM (also DDR3).

Hi everyone, so here is the problem I am having.
I got the Dell Inspiron 7568 FHD laptop so I could use the PN556W pen with it to sketch and draw on it. The pen didn't work when I tried to use it, and before I sent the pen back I was gonna try doing anything I could.
While trying new Chipsets, Drivers, BIOS and Firmware, I installed the latest Touch Firmware (Blackwood_MLK_Wacom) and I noticed the Touch Screen stopped working. I tried different updates and disk cleans/debugging and nothing worked. It still said I had active HID drivers for it but it wouldn't work, and Dell Support App says there isn't anything wrong.
Also, I couldn't system restore due to no restore points.
When I was going through HID, I turned on Hidden Drives and I found two Hidden HID Touch Screen driver with Code 45 on them. I saw an article (can't find it now of course) that said the touch screen could have disconnected internally and I could open up the base and reconnect it.
Can anyone back this up? Does anyone have anything else I can try?
