I have Dell Inspiron 15 3000 series .when i shaked my lap ,battery icon shows no battery and some time it shut down directly .i cant understand whats problem . some times there is a variation in screen brightness when suddenly shaked or transported from one position to another.

I have a dell xps l401x which is more than 6 years old. I recently reinstalled the OS to windows 7 ultimate and since then waves maxx is not working. I have already installed the quickset driver as well as realtek driver.
The touch buttons have been unresponsive for quite sometime but I never really cared. Also the wifi, Caps lock and battery indicator have not been working for ages. But the waves maxx was working perfectly fine with windows 8.1 that I had before this. I was wondering if there is a solution?
I have already installing drivers but to no use.
After updating a few drivers from Dell's support site, the laptop restarted but now the power only goes to the keys and not the screen. I cannot boot the device at all to do any diagnostics. I attempted connect it to my PC monitor using a VGA and to my TV using a HDMI but neither displayed anything. The only thing I have to go on is that the number lock stays steady while the caps and scroll locks blink simultaneously. Could it be the RAM, motherboard or both? Please help, I just purchased this laptop and the seller will not accept a return.

I've had this computer for nearly 3 years now and it has served as a somewhat problem free laptop minus some problems with the ram and charger. This problem started after I got my laptop back from dell support after they replaced all the internal hardware, about 3 months ago.. They gave me a clean OS install, but installed windows 8 on it, because that was the original software that came with it. After arguing on the phone for about 2 hours with a stubborn technician, he finally agreed to install windows 10 for me. After going through some shady websites, he downloaded it onto a USB and everything installed. I later realised that the copy of windows was not genuine even though I had paid for everything. Pointing it out to the technician, He told me the certificate would activate later. It never happened and I ended up paying again for a product key.
A little while later, the synaptics touchpad driver kept crashing after reboots, and I realised that I would have to reboot my computer twice. This has been going on for about 3 months now. Then, two days ago, all of a sudden, my touchpad AND touchscreen stopped working. Nothing seems to fix it, even a full reboot (sometimes). Once it starts working for no apparent reason, it stops working again at random times. Times working range from 20 seconds to 5 minutes. I have the power switch set to hibernate and hibernating and waking it up seems to sometimes get the touchpad and touchscreen working, but it suddenly stops working later.
My laptop went off and when i started it ask forr firmware update and i updated it
Now after 4-5 days same problem happened
To start laptop we have to first remove and plug the battery then it gets start

Hello, i had bought the XPS 15 laptop approximately 5 months ago from philippines and right now i am in india. When i am charging the laptop i get electic shock when i touch the metal parts of the laptop.
But recently i discovered when the laptop is charging i get current from other parts of the house as well such as metallic bathroom taps and metal grill of my house.
I tested it using tester so its not some assumption but real current.
So please provide some guidance on why is this happening and why is the current flowing in different parts of my house when laptop is charging.

The A15 BIOS is causing problems for my Latitude E5550.
The problems start when I put the E5550 to sleep, then disconnect from the Dell docking station.
Frequently when I wake the E5550, the wi-fi is disabled. I then do a shutdown to power it off, then turn it back on, often having to repeat that before the wi-fi is working again. Also, during the power cycles, sometimes the BIOS reports there are no hard drives to boot from. I have to power cycle again, then all is well. This only started happening with the A15 BIOS.
The power management setting in the driver for the Intel Wireless AC 7265 is ticked on to 'allow the computer to turn off this device to save power'. I'm going to untick that option to see if it has any effect, but I can't help feel that the BIOS has changed the behaviour, and I assume my laptop my now use up more power when it's sleeping.
My Inspiron 7568 screen went blank and is giving the blinking code of 2 amber, 7 white which is the code for display problems. How can I make this pc default to an external monitor or clear the existing problem. Right now it will partially boot up and then start the blinking error code.

As the tittle says. I have a Dell Inspiron 1564 i just upgraded from a HHD to a SSD but now I want to upgrade the RAM to 8 GB even 16 if its supported by my laptop. Which is the best RAM for my laptop and where can i find it? And it has two sticks im kind of confused about this, should i get 2 sticks of 4 GB each to make it 8GB ?
If anyone can help me with this id really appreciate it . Thanks.

I can not reinstall Windows 10. I tried in the usual way, as well as by restoring the image but the OS can not be installed on this SSD. It looks like the SSD is locked.

Dell won't give me or let me but a recovery disk for this model. Looking for an idk or something.
My Inspiron 5559 has been flickering between not detecting the battery, detecting the battery and saying it's charging even though the battery level doesn't increase, charging, not detecting, detecting, charging, etc.for about a day now. I can't unplug it even when it can detect the battery or it shuts off immediately. I recently had the DC jack and the motherboard replaced and got a brand new battery. is there anything I can do without having to pay for even more repairs?
