Inspiron 13 5000 suffered a permanent battery failure. HELP
Hi, last year i bought an Inspiron 13 5000. It was a <profanity> to actually buy the thing but in the end i worked out. When i logged in to my laptop just this month, windows and the dell app said my battery had suffered a permanent failure. I ran the diagnostics test and this too said my battery should be replaced. I can't seem to be able to buy a battery on the dell website. I sent a few mails to dell support but haven't had an answer yet. How can i send dell my laptop, so they can fix it? (it's still inside the warranty).

Is it comfortable in size??

I purchased Vostro 5568 15.6" laptop for my work purposes, but I found it is quite uncomfortable to carry and use.
I asked DELL support for any replacement to 14", but they denied.

Inspiron 3721 - windows 10 compatible?
Hi there,
I bought my Inspiron 17 3721 3.5 years ago. It came with win 8 64bit. As I have to reinstall the operating system because of various problems, I thought it would be good to upgrade to windows 10. My main worry is if the dell drivers for my model are compatible with win 10. There are no dedicated win 10 drivers available for my model.
I researched my question on the web and found that the Inspiron 3721 has been tested for win 10 November update. However, it has not been tested with the Creator's Update and is thus supposed to be not compatible.
Does anybody have practical experience?

Screen is blank
Dell inspiron N5110 crashes and when I restarted it doesn't goes to windows it shows only underscore and went blank and when I diagnosed it shows hard disk error 2000- 10046 but the hard disk light is on and hard disk name is shown in bios too..how can I save the files and the hard disk?

Inspiron 1525 Integrated Webcam not working
I know the topic heading isn't detailed so here goes:
I've had this laptop for about 9 years now and finally upgrade to Windows 7 Ultimate N (laptop was factory shipped with Windows Vista). Prior to the upgrade all systems fully ran and the only reason why I upgraded was because the system was running slow and after reading a few forums I decided it was time to get with the rest of the world (I was still using Internet Explorer).
Windows 7 Ultimate N is downloaded and running, I've even optimized a few performance features and it's almost like a new laptop still a little sluggish but manageable. I noticed within the "Windows Updates" however that 3 drivers under "Other Devices" would not update so I went to investigate.
After attempting to look online for a solution of getting these drives I gave up, but it got me to thinking if there were any other unnoticed faults on the laptop. The first I found was the microphone. It was detected in the Device Manager and enabled but it was not working; this was checking through the "Sounds" and "Recording" feature. Did a lot of digging through videos and forums online and finally found that the original driver for the laptop being Sigma Tel wasn't updated even though "Windows Updates" said it was. While reading one forum stated that the microphone and integrated webcam are connected so I checked it as well. Though "Windows Updates" says the device driver is updated it is still not working.
I have performed a diagnostics for the Camera, still nothing. And opening the application through the Dell Webcam Central only has a black screen, which I have already read many forums about and tried to correct. I don't want to have to give up on a solution for this but all signs point to say that there is no answer as to why or how to correct it. The blue light doesn't even come on when I start the application, but when the PC Dell Diagnostics System runs it comes on as it's running it's test. After the test it says it's fine.

Need to press Middle mouse button to make mouse work
Hi, I am using the Dell Inspiron 15 7000 series.
I"ve recently encountered a very strange bug. Whenever I turn on my computer, whether from hibernation, shutdown my mouse doesn't work properly.
What happens is this, I'll go to open anything (Firefox, word, excel etc) and suddenly my mouse cursor would jump to another part of the screen. And suddenly, except for that one program that I have opened, i can no longer left/right click anywhere else. sometimes while moving, I would even end up dragging my menu bar and dock it somewhere else on the screen.
I thought it was the mouse, but I bought a brand new out of the box and that one does it too. i uninstalled the trackpad driver, and unplugged the mouse and use the trackpad and it still does it.
I cannot even use the trackpad, because of this issue because it won't recognize my trying to middle click. I can post a video of it later if you like to show yall what's going on.
My Warrenty is almost up and I want to see *** is going on. ty

Is the dell inspiron 7560 model upgraded to 16gb ram ?
The different dell showroom guys have different answer to this,One says it can be upgraded while the other says it cant be.

Dell Inspiron 15R, continous sound of something( Driver) installing.
I had issue with laptop and found that it had some issue in chip level. the local guy got it corrected and later now i am facing continous sound of driver installing sound ( in singles), i checked in my devices, there is noting in yellow or exclamatory mark.. this sound is really annoying and its like continous, i tried restarting and many more things.
an early support on this will be highly appreciable.

Do I have an Ethernet port?
If someone has a sec, may I trouble you to look at the attached diagram from my Dell manual?
I'm about to buy a printer that connects to the computer via Ethernet port. Do I have an Ethernet port? I don't see the word "Ethernet" on this diagram, so am guessing the port goes by another name.
In 22 years of computing, this is my first encounter with an Ethernet cable!

XPS 13 2n1 battery won't hold charge and now won't power on at all
Hello All,
Anyone else had this problem? I bought the XPS in January. In the last month or so, I've noticed the battery doesn't hold a charge for long. Now the computer won't power on at all, even with the charger attached. I've chatted with tech support, but the only solution we could come up with is to return the machine to a service center.
Anyone know of a quicker fix? This will be the second time in 7 months I've had to send the computer to a service center. What is Dell's "lemon" policy.

Can't find dell touchpad driver for Inspiron 15 5551
I had to re-install Windows 8.1 and can't find a suitable touchpad driver for my Dell Inspiron 15 5551 laptop. The driver on the Dell site works ok for a synaptics mouse, but NOT for the touchpad. Hope someone can help me out.

Latitude 7480 WinPE 4.0 Intel Driver
Anyone having any luck here? We are using SCCM 2012 and I can't seem to find a suitable WinPE driver. We have the Dell Command integrated and created one with it and that still does not work.

Inspiron 15 7000 Series 7548 - GPU problems
My laptop wont change from CPU to GPU.
Any suggestions on a fix would be great, tried many theories that have worked for others.
I believe my laptop is supposed to have Radeon M270, however AMD automatically find your software downloads the M265. I've tried to make this work but I've ran out of options.
- I've gone to Device manager, disabled the gpu, and updated so it updates to M270, however then when I right click to view the AMD settings I get an error that my software is not supported?
- (When on M265) I've got my global application settings on maximize performance.
- Steam is also on high performance
- I've messed about with all the settings within the AMD radeon settings, trying to find optimal performance however I still find games are running on fps 4, even when the game settings are all on very low.
- I've also used the command Prompt (Admin) fix that has been mentioned on various forums.
My PC:
- (GPU-Z info)
- AMD Radeon R7 M265 Series currently downloaded
- Intel(R) HD Graphics 5500
- GPU Mars?
- Memory type DDR3 (Hynix)
- Driver Version: 22.19.162.4 (Crimson 17.4.4) WHQL / Windows 8.1 64bt
- Computing: OpenCL and Direct compute 5.0

hello, I was wondering if its going to have a direct impact temperatures of my laptop based on my processor, and how the CPU usage affects my laptop both over time, and in performance how this works?
for an example, my computer CPU will run between .77~3.0ghz+ depends on what I'm doing, switching between YouTube and other browser tabs causes it to fluctuate - is that normal? I'm not doing anything else, just browsing and watching videos every now and then - the temperatures of my laptop gets kind of hot, I used to use a temp monitor app to watch it, and it usually stayed between 40~70c, long-term usage caused the temps to reach 70ish~ with just YouTube and web browsing - no gaming or anything else, so I am just trying to understand this all and also learn how to adjust the settings in power plan/fine tune for my system

Constant BSOD since June 3rd, 2017 (No program or particular act triggers it)
I have a Dell XPS 15 9550 and all of a sudden I have been getting a BSOD constantly. It can be when I'm using Excel, Web Browsing, or even when I have the computer sitting on my desk doing nothing.
I turned off the feature to do an auto restart after it never created a record or log of the issue.
I got "Stop Code: UNEXPECTED_STORE_EXCEPTION"
This computer came with Windows 10 installed by Dell so this isn't in relation to an upgrade from 8 to 10.
The Event Viewer only lists "Event ID 41 Kernel-Power Task Category 63"
I'm at a loss as to what is going on and having this laptop being barely over a year old it's nuts to have a 1600+ paperweight.
Hopefully someone has some thought or etc for me.

GPS mod for my XPS L702X ?
First post for an old English guy. Bit of a dinosaur. I have a Dell XPS L702x which has served me well for number of years. Running Win 7. Mainly home based with wifi connection to home router. Occasionally used outside with a mobile broadband (3G) dongle.
I want to add a GPS facility so the laptop knows where it is and I can download and use GPS reliant programs such as 'Star Walk' - a star gazing program. I think I'm getting close as I have a small minidisk slot on the left hand side which I have just found with nothing but a blank in it.
Am I on the right track and can I get a card that will give me this facility? If so what do I need please and best source please Ebay / Amazon ?
If I am wrong is there any USB connecting item I can get that will give GPS?
