Dell i7559 won't boot up. Power light/keyboard lights turn on, nothing else
I am having a boot issue with my Dell i7559 laptop. I was using it normally this morning and suddenly get an IRQL type error. The computer resets itself and is doing some kind of diagnostic test and it freezes in the middle of that. So I reboot the computer and it won't boot up after that.
The current situation is that I can power it on. The power light will turn on, and the keyboard lights will turn on, but nothing else happens. I don't hear the fan at all (usually it turns on when I boot up the computer) and the screen is completely blank. The screen is working though because when I hit D+power on, I get the flashing lights. When I plug the computer into an external monitor, there is no response. But other than the power light and keyboard light being on, there is no response whatsoever from the computer. I think this is considered a No-post error but I couldn't find any more info to diagnose the issue (there is a tech support page on dell.com that lets you diagnose no-post errors via the LCD lights on the laptop but i7559 isn't listed on that page).
This is similar to an issue I had a few months ago. I was getting lots of weird blue screen of death errors, and the computer wouldn't boot past the bios and eventually got bricked. That time the solution was that I opened it up, cleaned out the dust, swapped the RAM into the other slot, and then when I rebooted it, it worked fine and has worked fine until this issue today. I tried doing that again but it didn't change anything.
So I'm assuming it's a hardware issue. Maybe a cable inside it got corroded or ripped? Any ideas of stuff I can try before I take it to a repair shop?

---Apparently the LED indicator on the battery light is flashing 4 WHITE and 2 ORANGE. I googled that and it means a "Memory/RAM failure." So do I just need to buy a new stick of RAM and put it in there?

Is Dell XPS 15 the new Galaxy Note 7?
I spent over $2000 on a Dell XPS 15 a little over a year ago. It worked well until recently when the mouse touchpad became more and more difficult to operate. Although I kept trying, it eventually stopped working. I took it back to the Microsoft store where I purchased it and they immediately knew what the problem was. The tech told me he had seen it over a dozen times. He said the battery was going bad, that the cells were swelling, and asked me to turn it off while in the store for safety reasons. He said there was nothing he could do about it since it was out of warranty by 3 months and that I needed to speak with Dell.
I spoke with 5 different people in an hour. Some one from "corporate" also called me later. The second person I spoke with said they could repair it for $250, and that they would have to replace both the battery and the touchpad. He told me in the meantime to take it somewhere and have the battery removed to be safe, even if I am not going to use the laptop. After a few more people it was determined that they do not have the battery, and it could take months to get one. As I researched online I found dozens of others who had this same problem only months out of warranty, and that there is no Dell replacement. They aren't making one, probably because of the flaw that is potentially dangerous.
See my pictures of the swollen battery. Add that to the fact that it is designed under the touchpad so as the battery swells, one puts more pressure on it to make the mouse work. Sounds like a serious flaw.
Bottom line is they told me to call back in the future (could not tell me when) on the chance that they got a battery in, and in the meantime, tough luck if I want to use the laptop.
Why doesn't Dell just take responsibility for this? Could it be another Galaxy Note? All I got from them, especially the "corporate" person, was plausible denial. So, a 15-month-old $2100 laptop is now a brick. Really Dell?

Laptop screen not working. Advice request
Good day,
I have a Dell Inspiron 15 3000 series laptop. The screen is not working and I was hoping someone can give me some advice.
The laptop screen does not show anything when booting up (including BIOS)
LCD back light is working
I ran the LCD BIST test and the LCD screen shows the different colours
I connected an external screen and it is working
I ran the BIOS diagnostic test and everything is ok
I also opened the laptop and removed the battery to reset the BIOS
Can this be a result of a faulty mainboard/graphics card? Also does the BIST test indicate that the LCD screen or cable is working 100%
Any advice will be appreciated

Alienware 14 startup and battery problem
Hi , this is my first time here , basically , my alienware 14 has 2 main problems , the battery , where if I'm not plugged in , I am unable to use it but it's not that big of a problem as I don't bring it out much , but the main problem here is the startup , since end of December 2016 I have been unable to start my laptop due to this error, the laptop brings me to a screen where it says , RECOVERY , The operating system couldn't be loaded because a critical system driver is missing or contains error , File: \WINDOWS\system32\drivers\ndis.sys , Error Code: 0xc0000185 , please help , I need to use the laptop to do my work on , I am currently typing this on a mobile phone , and it doesn't allow me to upload the pic so I had to type it out , any kind of help would be appreciated , thank you :)

Dell Inspiron 11-3168
Just received from Dell the other day. I plan to use it as a tablet. It says Windows 10 is not activated. I try to activate but it says words to the effect of, "your copy of Windows is not authentic. Please go to the Store and purchase Windows. Blah blah blah."
A disc was not included in my box so I have no serial or product key. But I bought this directly from Dell, not eBay or a third-party seller.
How do I prove to my laptop that I legally bought a laptop/tablet with Windows?

Dell bad bios...... thanks alot DELL!!!!
Was working on my army online class and my laptop was running way to slow. So i decided to factory reset my laptop. Once i did that i updated all my drives well, apparently on dell site they have a bad bios update on it. Now my laptop is a over size paper weight. Call customer service for help and they told me that they knew about that the update was corrupted and its a work order to get ot off the page. So they told me to drain the power out the motherboard(thanks alot didnt work)or buy a new motherboard($600 plus). really dell? You knew of a bad software update and keep it on your page. So now i went from a alienware 17 r2 to a cellphone... can anyone help me with this issue...

I'm unable to shrink my HardDisk after shrinking a particular Size like 448GB while whole HDD is free of space.
When I try to shrink more than 448GB but it's not Highlight to shrink.

Inspiron 15r SE 7520 randomly turns off
Hi there,
I have a Inspiron 7520 which is quite old now. It worked well for years, but a couple of weeks ago started making a loud whirring noise. From reading other forum posts about this model, I am pretty sure it was from the fan (laptop has always been pretty hot). The noise would start whenever the laptop had to do more processor-heavy tasks, like play video or games, or run multiple applications.
I should have done more about it, but all I did was try and blow out the vents, which helped a bit. Anyway, the noise stopped this week, but now the laptop just turns off without warning. It turns off at around the same time the fan would have become loud - ie. when it was having to do more than just browse the 'net (which I can do for hours without an issue - it just dies if i try to play a game, etc).
From reading other forums and some googling, my guess is the fan might have stopped working altogether, and now the laptop just turns off when the fan would have kicked in.
Can anyone confirm if my analysis might be right? And if so, would replacing the fan solve the problem, or is the damage more serious / widespread now?

Dell Inspiron 3542 problem
I am having a serious problem on my dell inspiron 3542. whenever i click refresh on the desktop it refreshes but the top left icon gets clicked always. and when i hover the mouse cursor over the icons it immediately gives the information about it even though when normal it takes some time to give information. Also, whenever i type number 8 from the numpad the mouse cursor shifts automatically to extreme left of that sentence or word. also when i scroll from top to bottom, it won't let me scroll down.
I even reset the laptop but i kept the personal files and installed windows again. But it didn't solve the problem.
Please help me fast. I am experiencing this problem from the past 4 days. I am running Windows 10 Pro build 1703 64bit with all latest updates and 4GB ram core i5 4210u.

Are Precision 3520 and TB16 supposed to work together?
I have a Precision 3520 and a TB16.
I am trying to connect 2 external monitors (2560x1440 each) to the laptop through the dock, but the laptop doesn't recognize any external monitor. The dock is connected via USB-C. The docking cable has a thunderbolt logo and the laptop usb-c port has a displayport logo
Should this setup work? Or do I have the wrong dock? Because when I connect the dock I get a popup saying "The docking station you have connected cannot provide full functionality while connected to the current port. If you have a Thunderbolt port, attach the docking station to that port for full functionality"
How can I get the external monitors to work? Also, the ethernet port on the dock is not working. I tested the monitor on the laptop and that did work. The ethernet also does work when plugged into the laptop.

Dell vostro 14 3000 battery/charger problem
I am currently using Dell Vostro 14 3000 laptop. For past few days whenever i tried to on the laptop it shows this message
" Alert! The AC power adapter and type cannot be determined. The battery may not charge. The system will adjust the performance to match the power available

why this problem is occurring? what is the possible reason of this problem? Is there a battery problem or charger problem or motherboard problem?

HDMI Ports not working
Over the past few years I've had most all of my M4600 or other M series HDMI port refuse to put out a signal. I've had several company visitors bring their Dell laptops in and if they are M series laptops will not communicate with our overhead projectors via HDMI. The projector simply says NO SIGNAL. Yet on the same projector when I connect my E5450 it will project just fine. This happens when using a TV using HDMI as well.
In all cases it SEES the projector or TV screen as a second monitor. I've popped open the PROJECT app and told it to MIRROR the screens. I can see the monitor add itself to DEVICE MANAGER when plugging in the HDMI cable and see it leave when unplugging it. This happens with Windows 7 and Windows 10.
I had a an old M4600's connected it to my TV. It worked for months on Windows 10 then suddenly would no longer put out a signal over HDMI. Again, I can see the TV by correct name in Device Manager when it's plugged in, I tell it to MIRROR or even EXTEND the desktop and nothing happens but NO SIGNAL on the TV. I pulled out an even older M4600 one that had been offline for about a year and it worked until MS did updates. I went through the Dell updates and Windows updates and will no longer work - NO SIGNAL.
I put a brand new fresh Windows 10 image on the first laptop (that I had been using for months) and it no longer works - with a brand new image from MS. I tried updating the vid drivers from Dell, still no signal. I tried drivers directly from Nvidia with the same results - NO SIGNAL. Again, I hooked my Win 8.1 E5450 to the same TV and it projects fine. As does an older Inspiron with Windows 10.
I cannot get any M series laptop to project out it's HDMI port on two different projectors and 1 TV, while the same TV / projectors work just fine with an E series and Inspiron series laptop. I tried 4 different HDMI cables, ALL work with the E series and Inspiron, NONE wok with any M series laptop.
I have no idea what's going on here. Any ideas?

BIOS NAVIGATION ISSUES
I have a Dell Inspiron 3521
I can't navigate to the settings in BIOS. It's like i'm blocked/Locked from making changes. As you can see in the third picture, i can go to 'miscellaneous device' which turns white, so using the arrow keys it skips all the others and goes to 'miscellaneous device' only.
All the texts should be in blue like in the second picture(security). Here when i navigate in the security section it turns white.

Inspirion 7000 series crashed hard drive
This very mildly used system mechanic (dell recommended) "safeguarded" computer has crashed, under warranty and ProProtected yet ZERO support despite 5 hrs of phone time with India. Any suggestions as to how to contact corporate in TX?
