Hello, I had the hinge issue with the left hinge clicking. I clicked into place while it was running and it crashed. Since then it crashes whenever it reaches 50c.

I've since fixed the hinge issue, applied paste and cleaned fans, it still crashes when it reaches 50c. Updated bios, run diagnostics, the problem persists.

I'm really far away from any official support centres and with an expired warranty. I could use any ideas on what exactly is wrong here to pass along to local repair man. Lots of people seem to have this hinge problem but as far as I can tell I'm the only one who got temperature problems along with it, so what gives?

I have purchased dell inspiron 3537  and got only 1gb gpu which is not enough for gaming.

I want to replace graphic card of amd hd8670 m to any 2gb or 4gb graphic card.

So, I wanna know is it possible to change gpu and if it is, then which gpu should i buy?

We have a Tb16 dock in at the moment for trial. It is very unstable on our Latitude 7370's

We've installed all the latest drives from Dell, updated firmware on both the Dock and the laptops but still face issues

The main problem problem as far as I can see is the ASMedia USB 3.0 Extended Host Controller Driver , when installed the dock will just not work with ethernet or USB. No connection at all. If we remove this driver and allow Microsoft to install it's own version then the USB and Ethernet ports work OK however then another issue occurs, the connection constantly drops out over and over again , internet drops out, USB stops working (with the familiar sound you hear when you disconnect a USB device from a PC) and then reconnects again, this happens over and over again. I use the NIRSOFT tool USBLogView and there was hundreds of connects and disconnects over a few hours

The only way we've managed to get it stable is to either put the device into air plane mode or put the power setting on the WiFi adapter down to 1 which obviously isn't a good work around

This isn't just one one laptop either, this is on all our Latitude 7370's we've tested

Hi,

my display on Dell latitude E4310 has been broken, however I have at home another non-operational Dell laptop latitude E4300. I'm wondering if display from this model can be used to replace broken one on e4310.

What do you think?

Hello together,

we have new test systems from Dell (5580, 5480, 7480 and 7280) and the new Dell dock WD15.

To installing our clients, we booting with PXE to starting our Windows 7 / Windows 10 installation. In the BIOS settings we have activate

• Settings - System Configuration - Thunderbolt Adapter Configuration - Enable ThunderboltAdapter Pre-boot Modules
• Settings - System Configuration - Thunderbolt Adapter Configuration - Enable Thunderbolt Adapter Boot Support
• Settings - POST Behavior - Fastboot - Thorough
• Settings - System Configuration - Integrated NIC - Enable w/PXE

After this default settings, I change the Boot Sequence order

1. USB NIC(IPV4)
2. OnBoard NIC(IPV4)
3. Windows Boot Manager (Harddisk)

The Idea:
I have set USB NIC to first postion, then when the user dock in the WD15, the client is using the network from the WD15 and not the OnBoard netcard. When the user plug in the cable into the OnBoard netcard, then I will be received the message USB NIC have no cable and he will check the connection on the OnBoard netcard.

Now my problem:
When I remove my WD15 from the notebook, the client is booting from PXE OnBoard - thats OK! But when I plugin again the WD15, the Boot order was changed.

1. Onboard NIC(IPV4)
2. Windows Boot Manager (Harddisk)
3. USB NIC(IPV4)

The LAN capel is connected in the WD15 and not in the OnBoard netcard. Now, the client is starting, will not found a network connection on the OnBoard netcard and is booting into Windows. But I neet a PXE boot on my USB NIC.

Is there a way to set everytime the USB NIC to the first position, when a user is plugin or -off his client from the WD15? I know there is the option to press F12, but I need a solution with any intarction with the user.

Hey!

I ordered Dell Inspiron 5567 laptop from my local retailer and it did not have backlit keyboard. I have seen the same model with backlit keyboard in Dell's official page. So I was wondering that if I order new backlit keyboard from ebay is it possible to replace it. The main question is does every model of inspiron 5567 has a backlit keyboard connector. If it is possible, is there a manual how to do it?

Ok, so I'm the guy that opened up this post:

It was a motherboard issue, so I bought a new one. And the computer boots!!!

...but then it gives out four beeps, which seems to indicate that it can't read the RAM. :(

I managed to make it go past twice by rearranging the sticks, but I can't get it back again.

Is there a way to know if it's my RAM, or if the motherboard maybe came slightly damaged??

I was...so...close...

Hello! Folks im new here my nane is Juan and i am from Argentina. I bought a Dell Inspiron 13 7000 in a shop and they changed it twice because the laptop was not able to find mine or any wireless network around my area where my apartment.

So then i found out in the Devices Administrstion window that the laptops the shop were given to me had no wireless or wifi drivers installed from origin. I mean in the adaptators window inside the Device Administration were only two bluetooth drivers but no wireless ones.

Do you think that that is the problem why the laptop cannot find any wireless network around? (a list of them)

If that is the problem, could anyone tell me where i can get an updated wifi drivers? Because what i found on any Dell website that i entered from Argentina i could not find any suitable. The laptop rejects their installation.

Could you tell me the exact name for a Inspiron 13 7000.

I went to Dell to find the right driver for my sound card. Dell Support requires I install their System Detect software but I get an error message (see below). Any help is greatly appreciated.

my Inspiron 13-552 can not connect after i change my password, even the password is right. and it can not connect with in the router after a long period of time e.g. (when i forgot to connect it for 1 hr after changing my password). the only solution i can find is to restart or shut it down again. does any body knows how to fix without restarting or shutting it down?

New Dell Inspiron 5567.

In all of my previous computers from different companies but not Dell, "Mouse Properties" has included one additional tab on the far right of the tabs, which has a setting to Disable Touch to Click.

Mouse Properties on this laptop does not have that, nor can I find that simple but for me essential setting option.

How do I do that?

When scrolling, it will periodically scroll at top speed on its own to top or bottom of web page.

Is is very frustating that Dell don't want solve this old problem. There is a petition signed from 855 dell clients.

Please solve this problem. GT540m have problems, crashes and freezing. We can't use hardware acceleration.

I purchased an Inspiron 15 5567 last November.

Shortly after I began using it, I found that the optical drive would not eject (it will open using the paperclip-in-the-hole trick). It makes a grinding sound when the eject button is pushed.

Device Manager shows no issues with the drive, and the most recent driver is installed.

I stumbled upon the computrace option in the BIOS in my Vostro 5468 and enabled it. However, I do not see any difference after booting the PC. Is the something else we need to install purchase in order to be able to use Computrace in this PC ?

as i am typing according to my power indicator it says my laptop is off its like its disconnected but its not i took of the keyboard and it was connected do i need some sort of driver the tell the indicators that the computer is on.

Computer failure. Need to reinstall Windows

Was running Windows 7 Profession. Microsoft installed Windows 10 before I realised what was happening. But it has been working fine.

Computer crashed to blue screen. Would not reboot. System restore and all other recovery options have failed. Endless repair loops.

What now? I have no idea where my original Windows 7 cd is. Can I obtain a digital version from Dell using another computer and install to duff computer using USB stick?

Currently trying to install Windows 10 Home from USB stick prepared using a Microsoft downloadable app. Is this likely work? I have no Windows Product Key.

Only had it a few days, first they had to replace the touch pad which wasnt working properly and now it seems to be blue screening randomly. It mostly happens when the laptop is locked it will just BSOD and restart.
