Okay, I had some OS issues and elected to just go ahead and restore Windows 7
(It's Windows 7 home 64bit by the way)
So I order the repair and recovery usb from dell. I got it, booted from it and was confronted with a warning that "Platform not supported, the dell recovery and restore USB key may not fully restore your system"
I hit continue anyways and then it attempts to perform Drive diagnostics at which point it tells me errors have been found that prevent us from continuing with the recovery process.
I called dell support and they said to talk to the software department, however they had gone home.
I figured, eh let's try to do it anyways. It starts the process and then gets stuck while scanning drives....and stays there for hours.
So, please help?

Dell Inspiron N4050 graphic memory
Hi!
I'm using a Dell Inspiron N4050 laptop. My OS is Win8.1 Pro. Processor is Intel core i3.
Problem is that I have Total available graphic memory of 1 GB i.e. 1664 MB but unfortunately Dedicated video memory is only 32 MB. Is there any way to increase the dedicated video memory for graphic designing and gaming purposes? i have already checked bios and display settings in detail, i was unable to find any possible solutions.

Dell XPS13 with Displaylink DA100
Hi,
I’ve just received a Dell XPS13 which I’ve just reinstalled Windows10 and updated the Dell drivers - esp the Dell Displaylink DA100 which I use to plug in to the network cable for Fog imaging.
Irregardless of what I’ve done, when I boot the Dell laptop into Bios I do not see the network boot option in this Dell laptop , like I did for my lenovo laptops and desktops. There’s only 2 boot sequence options: Windows Boot and UEFI Samsung SSD PM851 M2.2280 256GB.
Has someone had a similar issue, appreciate some suggestions how to network boot this machine ?

"Plugged in not charging"
I have a Dell inspiron 15 M5010 and i recently bought a new battery. It's not a Dell battery but a Ninja Battery. As i started charging it i noticed it doesn't charge. I thought it was a defective battery so the company sent me a new one. It didn't make a difference. Is it my AC Adapter? or because i need a Dell battery? I tried everything except update the BIOS because it needs at least 10% battery to run. Sadly i have 5%. Please help.

Dell XPS 15 9550 UEFI SSD
When I boot in UEFI mode, it can see my bootable USB but not my SSD.
I saw it before but now it has disappeared. What's the best way to fix my SSD to be detected in UEFI mode again?

Dell Vostro 5468 vs Intel HD Graphics drivers and Windows 8.1 pro
Dear all,
have the laptop with installed Windows 8.1 po (cause it is corporate standard, other OS isn't supported inside my company, sorry). Any attempts to install Intel HD there wasn't successful: not from Dell site, nor Intel - "This computer does not meet the minimum requirements for installing the software" in spite of Windows 8.1 is in the list of compatible OS on the driver's description, e.g.:

The only graphic driver was installed is Microsoft Basic Adapter, but I can't connect extra monitor by HDMI with this driver.
Please don't recommend me to install Win10 - I can't do it now. I need any other solutions! Thanks in advance!

Dell Command Update loop
Hi,
When I run DCU it suggests three updates for my Dell Latitude E5550, they download and install fine. However, when I do another check, it suggests the same three updates again (and again and again...). I've downloaded the updates manually and installed them but no difference. How do I solve this?

BSOD on startup. Windows won't load
I have an Alienware 17 R3 laptop that developed a problem last night. I was attempting to install the Office Online extension for Edge. The installation went OK, but when I attempted to run Office Online the computer stated it had encountered a problem and shut down. Since then, when I attempt to startup, I get a bsod and a generic message that a needed component is missing. On one attempt it mentioned the msconfig file. Nothing specific like a error code number. I need to know the best (simplest) way to get Windows running again. I'm not averse to doing a factory reset if necessary.

Dell Vostro 1500 Motherboard Swap
I bought my vostro 1500 new from dell in 2007, although i have several faster core i series computers, i still use my vostro 1500 every single day and with the SSD it is faster than most of the machines i have, plus it boots extremely quickly. Original battery still lasts 3-4 hrs.
Only real issue is the 2.6GHZ core 2 duo is starting to show its age a bit. I love the design of the laptop, its very solid and reliable but im wondering if anyone knows if there is a faster processor than the 2.6 core 2 duo for it? Every source online tells me that the 2.6 is the max for it. Its not slow by any means, but when running multiple tasks sometime it will near 100% cpu usage. It has 4gb of ram and never uses more than around 1.5 or 2 of it so i know this isn't a problem. Is there any other motherboard that is slightly newer that will fit in the vostro 1500 case?
Out of all the laptops ive ever had the vostro 1500 layout is hands down the best, probably better than my $1700 SAGER and if there is any way i could fit a better motherboard in there i will do it. Plus the thing is very solid, does not look old at all and it never overheats.

Worst service yet
I purchased a laptop and when it was delivered 3 days ago the keyboard did not work. After being on the phone 57 minutes (I timed it) and transferred to 7 yes 7 different people I was told ok you can return it. I had used my dell card to purchase it and needed another one right away. I was then told that the return will not be on my card for 30 days after they get their junk back. So I am stuck paying interest on the card for something I sent back AND for the new one I had to purchase. I tried to find a different place to post this but could not and the phone service was so horrible I could not get through to anyone else to complain. I have purchased 8 dells in the past and this will be the last. The only reason I purchased again was because it had 3 day free shipping and I need it for work.

Call from Dell Service re TB15
Hello. I received a call from Dell Support about my TB15. It has been working fine for the last 12 months and out of the blue I get a call about replacing it with a TB16 and sending a tech out to replace the motherboard in my XPS 15. Is this legitimate? Also, is it a coincidence that a Dock Update was installed today on my computer? Before I send any info via email, I wanted to make sure I was not being scammed. Thank you in advance.

Inspiron 5559 battery charging stuck at 60%
Brand new laptop, upgraded from factory installed Windows 7 to Windows 10 from Dell-supplied DVD. When plugged into AC adapter, battery charges to 60%, notification says it's plugged in and charging, but battery level never goes above 60%, even after hours on the charger. Updated to most recent BIOS and rolled back one level, no difference.
