Hello,

I know the subject has already been treated many times but I found no help in the comments to solve my bluetooth problem on my Inspiron 3521. It will not detect any device..

-I turned on the wireless switch

-The device is in discoverable mode and is detected by my Iphone

-I updated the drivers and Bios through Dell site

It will not work and im a bit desperate about it cause I spent some time trying to figure out this problem. So please, support help me solve it.

Here is a screenshot of my Device manager, some warnings appear thet drivers update did not solve.

Thank you

Forgive me - I know nothing about computers, so am probably going about this completely wrong, but I'm hoping you can guide me to a successful outcome.

I have a Dell Inspiron N411z laptop (with HDMI and usb ports) and a Dell 1703PF monitor (with DVI and vga ports).

I've tried an HDMI to vga converter, with a vga to vga cable into the monitor - didn't work.

am new to the here, I have worked with multiple firms.
you can check mobile App launch video one of my work.
Thank You !

Help with the choice of a new wireless adapter for a Dell laptop

0

Hello, guys,
my laptop is Dell Inspiron 15 3543. Some of you may have heard of, or even experienced the number of defects the 15 series laptops come with, which from Dell refuse to fix or replace. Many people with this kind of laptops face performance issues, lack of wireless connectivity, freezing and many more. I consider myself lucky as I only experience a lack of connectivity when someone around me uses too much internet (e.g. downloading files, games or movies; or watching live streams). Compared to the issues other people face, my problem is not that significant, but as you can suspect it's very annoying.
I tried every possible solution, but nothing helps to fix my problem. I have only one option left, that is to change my wireless adapter. My request is, for someone who understands the difference between adapters to help me figure out what wireless adapter will be most suitable for my laptop.

you can check Clinic management software video one of my work.
I would appreciate any help! Thank you in advance!

Slow Speeds with Samsung 960 Pro

Hi there,

bought a XPS13 a week ago, the first update i made, was a faster SSD. My choice felt on an Samsung part, the newest and fastest one, a 960 pro with 1TB of Storage.

I did a quick benchmark witch crystal disk mark on the stock ssd from dell and got this:

with the new Samsung SSD ive got this:

as you can see, the read rate isnt that much better as before, at least not as expected. So where is the issue? Installed samsung magician and the nvme drivers from samsung, still the same with the benchmarks. in the bios of my xps i selected the button AHCI. what next? in some test the ssd goes up to 3000 mb/s (like in the picture below, copyright computerbase, here is the URL to the test)

BIOS Version of my XPS13: 1.0.7 (dont know if i should update...bit in a worry about some warnings here in the forum...)

so what to do to get the high read and write rates from my ssd?

[XPS 15 9550] Sleep issue after hard reset

I am getting a repeating cold-boot-from-sleep issue on the XPS 15 9550.

Now and then when I try to log in to a website which requires a certificate with MSIE11, the lsass process gets runaway slowly hogging up all the memory and can't be killed, logon or shutdown doesn't work. So I use a hard shutdown (5 sec pwr button).

Subsequently, the laptop can't wake from sleep anymore, cold-boots instead. Can't tell if it shuts down when going into sleep, during sleep, or upon wake - there's no sleep led indicator, and the unexpected restart time in the Event log is sometimes inconsistent.

I found a workaround is to reflash BIOS (the same one works). Resetting BIOS might work too, but I'd need to adjust settings again.

I don't need help, but it'd be great if Dell could fix things so that sleep would work and messing with BIOS wouldn't be needed.

I'm using the Samsung 950 Pro NVMe SSD in AHCI mode with the Samsung NVMe driver v1.4 (there seem to be freezing issues with the latest 2.1).

I have a laptop, model Vostro 5480, core i3 4005U. I feel it is working slowly. Can I exchange my old laptop for a new laptop at DELL and compensate for some money?

If it not be, how can I upgrade it?

Laptop Wont Charge/ AC charger type and wattage cannot be detected

Help my Laptop Inspiron 5558 won't charge

I'll write my full story here so please bear with me

when i turned on my laptop i got a message that says

"ac charger type and wattage cannot be detected. system will adjust performance"

i have red many post and articles about this laptop problem and it seems that it is common in Dell

my laptop got drained and wont turn on but after i left it with the charger plugged in it heated and luckily it turned on but it wont charge, just running with an ac charger. if i removed the charger my laptop dies

In my research there are 3 options for me

first is update the bios

second, check ac Charger

and lastly check battery

I tried to updated my bios (Bois A14) and nothing happened. My laptop have 0% available on it so i have to  force run it

next is i checked my charger by checking set up... the charger is labelled unknown and i tried to plug my sisters charger and it is still labelled as unknown. i also checked the charger tip if the ground and the positive is connected.

then i checked my battery by running set up(same with the one i used to check my ac charger) and it is labelled excellent. i also tried right clicking the battery icon on the right side of the task bar to check my battery on the dell power manager and it is also labelled as excellent

i also tried opening the back of my computer(i read a lot about computers and once got to college and study computers)  to see if there are wires removed and to see the charging port if it has damaged.

then i started to lose hope.

That is when i created an account and first time connecting to the dell community if someone here can help me.

i don't want my laptop to be checked here in the Philippines cause laptop repair stores here are known to steal laptop parts

ps: sorry for my grammar

New XPS 13 2-in-1

I have a situation with my new system and was wondering where I could give feedback.

It seems the system, which is a 2 in 1, will deactivate the touchscreen when the Display shuts off.  The system is not asleep, just has the Display shut off.

As a result, I cannot regain the display while in a 2 in 1 configuration, such as Tablet mode, using the touchscreen.  I have to put the system back in laptop mode so the keyboard is activated, regain the display and then put it back in Tablet mode.  This is causing undue usage of the hinges, which Dell has special procedures for warranty coverage as well as being a royal pain.

I have two other touchscreen systems, XPS 2720 and Inspiron 17 7000, which can recover the display using just the touchscreen.

Please advise the appropriate division I need to relate this information or have someone e-mail me.

Thank You,

Clark

Dell 15-7559 Windows 7 Pro installation problems (Skylake)

Dell has Windows 7 64 bit drivers for this model on their support site and I took the USB 3.0 chipset driver and slip streamed it into the installation ISO to get past the final OS installation point, but once the laptop boots to the Windows 7 desktop, the three USB 3.0 ports no longer work. I've switched between both UEFI/Legacy with all the same results. With no CD/DVD drive, there is no way to install the remaining drivers. I also slip streamed in the offered LAN driver, but it's not functional when Windows 7 opens. I also tried loading the drivers onto a separate USB drive to load at the final installation spot, but the computer says "no drivers found" on the drive. What am I missing? Thanks in advance, for any possible help.

What can I do? You can change or disable the secure boot? Or set only remix to work?
Thanks

Tryed the restore function and did not work. Puchased the PC in 2014, so it out of warrenty. What could of caused this and is there a fix the problem?

Dell Inspiron 3552 - Slow to respond when waking up

I have a Dell Inspiron 3552 and I have noticed that when I wake it up from sleep, it's a little laggy. What I mean by laggy is that when I go to the login screen to put in my password, sometimes it doesn't always respond. I have to turn Num Lock on and off. When it does finally respond, the sticky keys window pops up asking me if I want to use them. Then, it finally starts to put in my code. I am running Windows 10 Home 64-bit on this machine.

7275 Blink Codes

I'm trying to find out if there are blink codes for the 7275 tablet. I found a small blurb about the power button lights, but it doesn't say anything about white blinking lights. want to know if the white blinking indicates anything. (example: 2 white blinks versus 5 white blinks when you press power button. Below is the only thing I could find.

LED status

What it means

Solid White

The battery is charging.

Solid Amber

The battery is at low level with the tablet on or in a connected standby state - the screen is off but the tablet is still turned on.

Off

The battery is not charging or the battery is fully charged.

Flashing Amber

The battery is at a critical level and does not have enough charge to power on. If the power button is pressed during this state, the LED will turn on for 3 seconds and then turn off. Continue charging the tablet.

XPS 13 Touch 9360 - How can I enable Wake Timers?

0
0

I need to have my Dell XPS 9360 on at a specific time so that my server can back it up.  I have set a wake up timer the same way I have on several other computers and it will not work.  Wake Timers cannot be enabled in "Power Options>>Change advanced power settings>>Sleep>>Allow wake timers" because the "Allow wake timers" option does not exist!

I am running the Windows 10 anniversary edition as it came from the factory.

Is there any way to get this computer to wake up, other than using the BIOS to wake it up?

Thanks!

Procedure to Replace HDD with SSD in an Inspiron 5558

0

I like to  replace my present 1TB HDD with a Samsung EVO 500 GB SSD and keep the recovery partitions. If possible,  I like to clone the drives to save some work and if this is a  reliable method.   I have read through some past posts and people seem to have various amount of success with the transfer to SSD.  If I can't keep the recovery partitions what is the best alternative?   This laptop has a built-in DVD, so I have made recovery DVD and also have a factory recovery DVD.

TIA

Touchpad scroll problem

I've just upgraded from my 7 year old Dell Inspiron to a Dell 15 5000. I cannot get single edge scrolling to work. I've got the 2 finger scroll but not single as it was on my Studio. Needless to say Windows 10 OS.

Dell TB16 / XPS 13 9350 / P2715Q - Monitor goes blank when computer lid is closed.

I updated drivers on all devices, including setting the XPS to do nothing when lid is closed. External monitor works fine, until XPS lid is closed, then external screen blanks. However, monitor works fine in airplane mode, which does me no good, as I need an active internet connection for certain software functionality. Also, airplane mode disengages my wireless keyboard and mouse, and I need to turn connection back on and pair devices (wasting more of my time). Is there anyway around this issue, other than returning the TB16 for something that works?

Lid close not working - missing driver?

0
0

I have an XPS 15 that I bought 3 years ago. I re-installed the original Windows 7 last month and let it upgrade to Windows 10 right away. Somehow this did a clean Windows installation with none of the Dell software. I then created a new user and deleted the default one because the directory name it set on installation didn't match my old files.

After all that I had to spend a few hours trying to install the right software to get things like the touchpad and bluetooth fully working. For the last few days I've noticed that when I close the lid the OS is still running. The power settings show that it should go to sleep (on battery or not). Is there some driver that's needed to enable the lid close power settings?

Why is Dell using very different SSDs for same XPS 15 9560?!?!

0

I am frustrated and in the process of returning my XPS 15 9560. Reading the reviews I was expecting the 9560 to come with the Samsung SSD, one of the fastest SSDs available. But mine came with a much slower Toshiba SSD. I don't care about the actual brand, but the performance is very, very different between the two SSDs. When I look online at some benchmark data it appears that half the time people are getting the Samsung and half the time the Toshiba. Why? Half the people are getting a very fast SSD and the other are much slower. Very frustrated and annoyed. The two SSDs are clearly not equivalent.
