I read something about whitelisted cards that works on dell laptops.
Is this information true?
If yes what LTE card i can buy to use in Romania on those bands :
4G TDD 2600Mhz (band 38) and 4G FDD 2100Mhz (band 1) ?

This is not a wifi issue, but rather the machine will be connected and able to browse the internet via Chrome or any other web browser and then all of the sudden things freeze up and the cursor will just spin and will have to re-boot the machine to get connected to the internet again (with that sometimes not even fixing).
In every instance the wifi connection is still enabled, but browsing the internet ceases to work. I recently updated the Intel wifi driver as I thought that would help, but still encountering the issue. With no Ethernet connection available to test on this machine, need some suggested solutions.
I've purchased a new Dell inspiron 7559 with an i7 6700HQ processor, 8GB ram and also with a FullHD display. And i found the problem.
First time i see lags when I watched video in Chrome in fullscreen mode. if I disable it there is no lags. I read the forums and saw the that problem was solved when you disable hardware acceleration, or change the graphic card that accelerate the video. So I enable GTX960m for Chrome.
But lags still there, when I watch video with VLC or another player, in fullscreen i still have lags every 10 seconds. I think this can be problem with Intel HD graphics.
Anyone have same problem?
And yes, I update all drivers, reinstall VLC, download codecs.
Client called me and asked me to work on a seldom-used and out-of-warranty Inspiron 3147. Seldom-used because it presented serious challenges to usablity. Here is what I had to do to get it to be a usable computer again:
1. I disabled the facial recognition, which I found just plain awful, not ready for prime time. Or, in simple terms, very cumbersome to use.
2. I installed ClassicShell to restore a reasonable Start button and menu, rather than the garish and useless Windows 8 tiles.
3. I changed the system paging file to the size recommended by Windows itself (3.5GB rather than less than 1GB), so the system responds, instead of literally leaving you hanging.
THIS is the FACTORY SETUP from Dell? Who on earth implements Dell's factory setup? Now, at least, my client has a computer that can be used, albeit at the cost of my work.
I have been having issues with the cursor on my dell inspiron 7537 laptop and I was wondering if there were other issues.
When I ran a hardware test from Dell Support Center. It showed the following errors:
Failed (Error code: WHD16-8RS)
Failed (Error code: WHD20-D1O)
If this is a serious error, I do have complete warrenty on the laptop. Will dell replace the hard drive?

I reinstalled windows 10 my Alienware 14 and everything went fine with the windows 10 installation. When all the files were copied and the laptop restarted itself to prepare the windows (before connecting to wifi), the laptop starts giving very high pitch beep sound. its is not like the beeps you get on startup for POST. its single continuous BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP. Non stop.
I put a pillow on the speaker to quite the sound and continued with the windows setup. After finishing all the steps and windows prepare itself for the first timeand load the desktop, the beep stops. I ran Dell diagnostic and everything passed. I installed windows like 3 times using different usbs and windows iso file and the problem continues.
Any idea for why such a strange behavior?

I have an E6530 with a Core i7, without the nVidia GPU. Can I swap the CPU to replace the Core i5 in an E6530 that has the nVidia GPU?
Why I want to do this is the one with the i7 has the low end 1366x768 display. The one with the i5 has the 1920x1080, and the nVidia GPU.
I got the i7 laptop for free. Yesterday I bought the i5 one for $230 on eBay after figuring it would cost too much to upgrade both the display, mainboard and CPU/GPU cooler.
I am absolutely wild.
Just bought an Inspiron 15 5000 with the very latest 7th gen i7 CPU, DDR4 ram, 4Gb DDR5 R7 video, SSD, full HD LED, Win10 Pro. Spent over 2hrs on phone with tech support trying to get the LAN card to recognise 1Gb LAN, updating drivers, rolling back drivers etc.
Have now been informed the LAN card only supports 10/100 Mbps. What on earth are you thinking Dell? Even the Dell tech support guy has said it's like putting a bad engine into a Ferrari. He was floored. What are you doing Dell? is NZ a dumping ground for obsolete hardware? It's 2017, not 2010. Since when have I had to ask about a laptop LAN speed capability? Not for at least 5 years, until now. Arrrgh. How can you do this to me Dell? What is going on?
I shake my head. Since when have you been selling laptops that don't support Gigabyte LAN? Even the $200 Dell I bought 5 yrs ago supported Gb LAN. Clearly not fit for purpose. Do you have a pile of motherboards that your trying to flog off to unsuspecting customers? Come on.
So I received my 9560 yesterday. It has been largely unusable. The problem being the Killer 1535 wifi card seems to be able to nuke my whole wifi network. It only requires a few minutes of browsing the web (notice it particularly on Facebook) before the killer does something which causes my router to basically shut down the wifi side (router is a Drayek 2860n+ which has previously run for 2years without a single fault with many other devices).
I narrowed it down to the killer card by plugging in a belkin USB wifi adapter and the machine becomes usable and stable, but the second I re-enable and use the killer 1535 the whole network crashes.
A bit of googling would suggest this isn't limited to my router type and the Killer 1535 is extremely unstable and unfriendly to routers.
So far I have tried to install new drivers from the Dell support site, and also from Killer's website (drivers dated just 1 day ago, they seem to issue a new version every week, which is telling).
Any other suggestions on how to fix this? Its taken about 12hours to get the laptop setup so I am very reluctant simply to return it.
Why on earth Dell ship this laptop with such unstable hardware is beyond me, searching the web I am definitely not alone.
Please help!! My laptop is stuck on a black screen with a loading symbol at the bottom and it's been like this for 15 hours since I tried to recover it. It will go past the dell logo and then continue to this. I turned it off and back on and it does this again. I have a dell AMD A8
My Inspiron 17 5000 is a total pain. Given to me, brand new so far as I know, in mid 2016, eight months ago
1. Worst. It REPEATEDLY cuts off broadband even when 30 feet maximum from my British (BT) router. My old and far less powerful Toshiba did no such thing, even much further away. Google and you'll find many reports of that major fault with Inspirons.
2. Its keyboard is beyond belief slow and unresponsive (eg, it flatly failed to enter the letters KEY in 'keyboard', back there. And not because I type fast--I don't.
3. It recently developed random bad habits: sometimes/sometimes not. [A], when I hit the @ key it gives me double-quotation marks; and vice versa (it is doing so now--I'm hitting the double-quote key and @ is the result). [B] when I hit the pound sign---the shift-3 key on my British keyboard---I gives me the number sign #. When I hit the number sign it gives me this, a reverse slash: \. When I hit the reverse-slash sign it gives me \ as asked for.
4. When I play some U-tube music e.g. on it, its sound system repeatedly cuts in and out, makes random growls, etc etc etc etc.
NONE of these faults were visible on my cheapo little Toshiba. I have NEVER dropped this Dell Inspiron, nor banged it. I do not hurl dust into its innards. It manifestly began life as junk and junk it is. Short of simply binning it--that would be several hundred #s [sorry, pounds] going down the drain--IS THERE ANYTHING I CAN actually DO to put things right?
So I'm pretty sure I disabled the settings somehow...I have an i5 Dell Inspiron 13 7347 with windows 10. The laptop works flawlessly, but a couple of days ago I noticed I can't scroll using the touch screen on google chrome.. I can't click on things either. I can for any other application (paint, word, internet explorer).
My chrome is up to date. Any ideas what could be wrong?
Also, I think it's just my clumsy hands as I have had this problem on basically all laptops except Mac books, but when I type sometimes it starts typing on the letters above. For example, I'll be typing the sentence I'm typing now and I'll look up and it's typing right by "also" in the beginning of the paragraph... Is there anyway to stop this? It's off and on... It hasn't been doing it for a long time, but it started again these last couple of days...I don't think my hands grew haha.
Getting 5 Beep sound when I start my Inspiron N5110 laptop, but when booting finished beep sound volume reduced and when i plug in the headset i can hear the beep sound as well.
could you please help me guys, what it is ? I tried to find out some solution. I tried diagnosis setup, it shows all devise working properly.

I have a dell vostro 5470 and I feel like my HDD is so slow. So I want to upgrade my disk but I'm not sure what can be the best solution for me. As far as I know I have an extra msata half size slot which is not used.
Can I use these M.2 ssds? As an example:
Or some people say it is possible to plug a msata ssd even if the slot is half size.
Or should I go with typical SSD by replacing my HDD? Something like samsung evo 850

I am also facing same issue like many others for 5548, the hinge is coming out from right side. My laptop is within warranty. Dell says it is usage issue. It seems you sell product thinking people should not use it. In my opinion, it is a design issue. Lot many people have same issue for Inspiron 5548 and that too from same, right side. In my opinion, Dell should have recalled these laptops for faulty design, but they are not ready even to service within warranty. <Legalistic deleted>. When you design something you should consider product durability also and should be responsible for defect because of poor design. Really pity on you Dell, don't believe you are an international seller and unprofessional.
Hi. I received my laptop yesterday and it was working fine all day yesterday. At night, I put it on Hibernate to turn it off.
But then when I tried to start the laptop today morning, it just refuses to start. I press the Power button, the Power button light comes up for a few seconds and then turns off. The screen remains black throughout, I cant even see the Dell Logo on the screen or try to access the menu settings by pressing F2 or F12. This same issue occurs while trying on battery (which is 100% charged, as per the battery indicator) or while on AC Power.

Pruchased 7/2012 - in the past year started getting the - doesnt recognize charger at boot...BIOS notes "Unkown" adapter - would initially charge up to 78%. Recently, until below, it only charges for about 30 seconds then stops. get either plugged in and charging (but isn't) or plugged in NOT charging.
Here is what happened recently and what I have done:
- Factory adapter broke off at the jack last week - laptop suddently shut down and will now only run/boot while plugged in with new DELL 65w OEM charger. Getting the AMber flashes with solid white on battery indicator.
-I have updated to most recent BIOS to A18 - no fix - BIOS and battery settings still show "unknown" adapter and now show.."Your battery is temporarily disabled. Please turn off your computer and try again when the unit is back to the operational temperature".
-Battery ceratnly isnt hot as it says this after sitting all night.
Thoughts? how do I reset the battery - unplug? Replace?
