My wife's computer Dell 15-3552 opens to the sign in page but when you try to log in the desktop just blinks and the blue circle just keeps spinning but it does not complete the boot.
I have tried numerous fixes but no success.
It worked fine then this happened. The logic board was replaced by Dell Nov 2016.It was rrunning super slow that is why Dell changed the board. It is still running super slow.

The instructions I've found for recovering a license key involve decrypting an entry read from the Registry. But I can't read the Registry until I restore the system! If I can't restore the system until I get the license key from the Registry, I'm stuck.
The power share symbol is available only next to USB C, any idea if the regular USB will work.
I recently got a new HDD because the old gave out. I talked about this in another forum. I have warranty and it covered it. I put in this new HDD and it was going fine and downloading everything when it comes up with "Windows could not complete the installation. To install Windows on this computer, restart the installation." Like I can't even do anything. Since I don't have windows I can't login or anything. Am I really gonna have to get another computer.

There is a problem with my xps 9560 1050GTX video card.
The latest update from NVIDIA with version 378.66 is failing.
The only fix it to revert the driver back to version 378.49
Are there more users with the same problem ?

Our company purchased several XPS13 laptops last year, running Windows 7 Pro, along with the WD15 docks.
The laptops are usually connected to the company LAN network through the docks, but then are switched to a WIFI connection when taking the laptop to meetings, then re-docked afterwards.
The problem we're seeing is that, for all except one laptop, we have to use the laptop switch to disable WIFI/Bluetooth (Fn-PrtScr) for the laptops to switch from WIFI to LAN when they're re-docked. For the one laptop, it automatically switches from WIFI to LAN once it's re-docked without any issues.

I've tried changing the connection priority in Network Connections > Advanced Settings and placed LAN above WIFI, to try and prioritise LAN over WIFI. I've also had a look in the Network Adapter Properties > Advanced for both adapters, but don't think any of the options are relevant.
The settings between the one laptop where things are working as intended and all the others should be exactly the same. I recently did a BIOS/drivers update on one of the problematic laptops, as well as uninstalling/reinstalling the wireless adapter, with no improvements.
If anyone has any advice they can offer, it'd be much appreciated. I can somewhat deal with the workaround of having to use the laptop switch to switch between LAN and WIFI, but when the USB Mouse/Keyboard stops working for no obvious reason, this creates huge frustrations for my colleagues and myself - especially since we've had stability issues with the laptops/docks since we started using them (with drivers updated, etc).
I have tried everything I cant think of. All internet searches and dell documentation seems to indicate:
Alt + PrtScr should capture the active window.
PrtScr works and captures the entire screen.
Alt is working (alt+ctrl+delete)
I have tried both alt buttons.
This laptop is only a couple months old and I am assuming it has never worked as this is the first time I have attempted to capture just the active window.
I use this regularly at work and it is clearly not working on my home laptop
What am I missing?

I am a bit worried because I bought a new dell xps 13 9360 i7 full hd screen a couple of days ago and it seems to me that the battery on my unit is not even close to what people have claimed they achieve on their batteries. I am only using chrome with 7-8 tabs and not much else in the background (skype). BIOS and chipset drivers are all new, I disabled some updates for the time being and the battery seems to be working for about 5-6hours and this is on 10-20% screen brightness and power saving mode.
Various tests show that even on QHD 9360 i7 the battery result is much much longer and not in such saving modes really. I called Dell Support but all they did is check whether the battery has hardware issues via some test I run upon launching the computer. So they will not replace the battery but it seems to me there is either an issue with it after all or there is some software that is eating up the battery so badly because clearly I shouold be gettinig >10hrs based on many many real life reviews etc. Any sugestions?
I have recently purchased a 5510 and a D3100 docking station. Used primarily for solidworks and rhino. My issue is that besides 4k and older applications being terrible bedmates is that the docking station stops the quadro so everything is running software open gl. I understand the new thunderbolt dock DB16 has some additional graphics capabilities but they are by no means a quadro solution, nor it is recognized by solidworks.
This is hugely problematic. Is there a method to remedy this? Attempting to access the quadro settings while plugged into the docking station results in windows stating that the hardware is not available.
I have had the Inspiron 15 3542 since 2014. all the sudden it will restart saying your computer has run into a problem. Any solutions.

I've had an XPS 13 2 in 1 for a few weeks now and every so often (a few times a day) it makes a loud beep for a half second. I cant tell if it is coming from the speakers or from something else in the system, but its extremely loud and sharp no matter what the volume setting is at. This isnt the coil whine issue, which I do hear sometimes when the computer is plugged in but it doesn't really bother me. Has anybody else had this issue with their XPS 9365? Is there some way to fix it?
There are a couple of things about this system I can't find in the manual.
First, why two webcams?
Second, are the magnets on the back of the LCD there to hold the Active Pen or are they for the LCD screen?

Is xps 13 9350 with touch screen laptop supporting stylus pen?
Normally when selecting text in Word, notepad, etc., holding down Ctrl+Shift+Right (or Left) arrow key will automatically advance the cursor to expand the selected text a full word at a time. However the shortcut currently only works to highlight one word at a time, i.e. I have to re-press the arrow key for each word. The Shift+arrow and Ctrl+arrow both advance automatically a single letter at a time just fine, its just the three keys together that doesn't work the way it should. And the weird thing is, it's only a problem with the left Ctrl+Shift on the keyboard, the right hand Ctrl+Shift+Arrow combo works fine. The three key combo also works fine on-screen keyboard. Have you heard of this and do you know how I can fix it? Thanks for your help!
