Windows 7 Home Premium Boot ISO

$

I was going to attempt to present my current issue as briefly as possible, then I realized that it wont even be possible.

I currently own a Dell Inspiron N5010 and it has Windows 7 Home Premium installed as an operating system.  This problem i am having began as a relatively minor issue and now it has begun to bother me quite a bit as i attempt to resolve the trouble, to no avail.  When I power on the laptop, the first screen loads followed by the windows logo and the progress bar underneath.  Then the screen goes quite dismally black.  Not blue, but black.  So I immediately hop on another device and do some research and from what I have read, based on individuals who share the same problem, the best solution is to create a new boot ISO and put slap that guy on USB flash drive and just reinstall windows.  GREAT!  So I have at it, of course.  I flip the laptop upside down and get my product key, go to the microsoft website to download what I need, and low and behold, upon entering my product key, the next screen has an image of christian bale grinning at me with his middle finger in the air (all jokes): and the text reads something to the effect of: the product key you have entered is associated with a laptop in which the operating system was already installed on the laptop (horrible paraphrasing, sorry). Now I'm aggravated a bit more.  I go to the Dell website and go in and out of the support pages with a little bit of help, but the primary issue is that i need the windows 7 boot ISO or a factory reset file, and wherever it may be in this whole world wide web, it must be inaccessible to me.  I am quite sure that thepiratebay or other bittorrent sites will have even less to offer as far as assistance....I JUST WANT THE LAPTOP TO BOOT UP SO I MAY UTILIZE IT. PLEASE HELP ME YOU FINE LADIES AND GENTLEMEN.

with warmest regards,

D. Grey

New Dell 5759 Battery Issues But Service Tag and Express Service Code won't register so I can't get help!

! I purchased a Dell 5759 just a few months ago from Amazon. Since its purchase, the battery randomly cuts out at intervals of every few to several days with no triggering events.  I attempted to seek help a few times but apparently my service tag and express service code cannot be recognized by the system.  I've tried calling the Inpsiron help number, but for better or worse, the call is disconnected when my numbers cannot be recognized.

Now I get a Dell Power Management error that the system can no longer communicate with my battery.  It has ceased functioning en toto.  Without being able to register, I cannot get help for this issue, but when I go to email any kind of technical support, the Service Tag or Service Code are the gateway to having access to submitting a ticket.

I'm not sure what else to do at this point. This is a perfectly fine otherwise smooth running computer but I need the battery to work and not cut out at random intervals.  Any ideas would be appreciated.

Help me please sir!

Hello,

I recently purchased a Dell U2414h monitor and I think this is faulty.

When it shows blue and orange colors, they are shown with a few vertical stripes of darker colors.
It is the second monitor that I buy from the same model and that presents the same problem.

He leido que es un problema que tienen algunos modelos del 2016 con el panel LG.

Is there any way to fix it?
regards

after the first anniversary update of windows 10 ,my dell xps 15 9550 notebook computer has become totally unstable.every day every 2 to 3 hours interval here is BSOD.i talked with mcrosoft's tech assistannt and tried to sort it out.they told me that it is the problem of driver or hardware.so i updated new driver of latest version but there was no good result.after that they told me to do "clean boot".but in clean boot i can use only 3 or 4 apps and in the long run BSOD.i am highly dissappointed and also broken heart that this is happening again and again.is there any solution for me ? right now i am using windows 8.1 instead of win10. my computer is working well now and here is no BSOD.i can not communicate with the english spoken dell tech assistant because i bought it from mainland china.whenever i try to contact,it redirects to chinese website and i can not understand chinese language.2 days back i have applied for service tag change for the country change in dell website.i am very very disappointed, very very disappointed.this is my dream computer but it has become my hallucination ....

New Inspiron I7 5759 Battery Issues But Numbers won't register so I can't get tech support

I recently purchased a Inspiron 5759 laptop from Amazon, from Dell, and since purchase, the battery intermittently cuts out, for no seemingly no apparent reason.

I've tried to get help from tech support 10 plus times, but neither the  Service Tag or Service Code will register so the door to help is locked.  I've checked back in 48 hours, as directed by the system, but still, nada.  I've called Tech Support, and the Inspiron department places me on hold when they can't track the number and this hold amounts turns into being hung up on.

Now my battery does not work whatsoever and power management says it cannot communicate with the battery.

If anyone can help, I would very much appreciate it.  This is an otherwise perfectly fine laptop, but I'm at my wits end with the battery and the lack of help

I bought a new E5470 for a work laptop.  When initially received I set up a local account before connecting to our company domain.

My fingerprint has been associated with the local account, and so cannot be used with the account on the domain.  How to I reset / disassociate my print from the local account and reassign it to the domain account?

Right USB port problems (XPS 13 9360) - power supply?

Hi,

I seem to be facing reliability problems with the right USB port of my XPS 13 (9360). I am running on BIOS 1.3.2 (and have no data for any prior BIOS version, sorry).

Task: Use a cheap USB 3.0 combined Ethernet and USB 3.0 hub to provide wired network (Ethernet) connectivity on an USB-A port (the large plug). These things are readily available from everywhere; search for "ky-888 usb 3 ethernet", this is one of those devices, which gets relabeled by every distributor under the sun.

I am load testing this new device right now - upload and download is not stable, the Windows network symbol disappears every once in a while, things are not fun. This is on the _right_ USB port of the Dell.

If I unplug that device from the _right_ port and plug it into the _left_ port (beneath the USB-C port), life suddenly is perfect.

What is special (in a negative way!) on the right USB port?

According to the manual ( http://www.dell.com/support/manuals/us/en/19/xps-13-9360-laptop/XPS-13-9360-Laptop-SetupAndSpecifications/Set-up-your-computer ), the right port actually should be superior to the left port, because the right port supports "PowerShare" - i.e. it is enabled to charge connected devices from the battery if configured to do so ( www.dell.com/.../EN ). In my case, I am on AC power, my battery is in fact full, but I did not enable PowerShare for the port.

Duo 1090 touchscreen issues

I'm working on a Duo 1090 that has a touchscreen that doesn't work. I've looked in the control panel and there aren't any settings in there for pen and touch, or tablet. The unit is running Windows 7 Home Premium.  I recently replaced the system board, palmrest and fan on the unit.  I did notice that one of the hall-sensors has a bad ribbon cable. I wouldn't think that would cause issues with the settings bring available in the control panel. Any thoughts or suggestions are appreciated.

The keyboard on my new Latitude 3460 has a significant flex/ deflection when typing with normal pressure. Dell technican replaced the palm rest and keyboard. No improvement. He advised that this issue was something he had not encountered.

Has anyone else had this problem? If so, were you able to have it fixed?

I have been a long time user of the Dell XPS 12 2in1 laptop and it never heated up when charging.  This new XPS 13 gets incredibly hot on the underside of laptop when charging and also gets hot without charging, but not quite as hot as when it is charging.

Is this normal, very irritating.

Tap to click stops working periodically (XPS 15)

$

I have a recently acquired XPS 15 running Windows 10.

The touchpad is set to 'tap to click', but at random intervals (usually after the computer has been on for 24+ hours), it stops working. The first tap still registers as a click, but it gets stuck, and does not release when one removes one's thumb from the touchpad, so that it is necessary to use the button to click instead.

This doesn't seem to have anything to do with Windows settings, as 'tap to click' is still switched on in the mouse settings. Nor is it a hardware issue, because restarting the machine causes it to return to normal. My guess is that it has something to do with the touchpad drivers (?), in which case, why has Dell not rectified this issue? Is there a solution?

(I couldn't find another thread on the subject in this forum, but there are others out there on the internet.)
