I will just get a black screen. There is power in laptop since when I press CAPSLOCK the light is being turned on. I do not even see the screen from where we enter boot menu, even when Windows loads correctly.

Mouse Cursor is disappearing and RIght Side Bubble is coming
I am using Dell Inspiron 5559 Signature Edition and suddenly mouse cursor is disappearing and right side of the screen one bubble is displaying.
All the drivers are updated but still the issue is the same.
I have reset the factory settings and at the time of factory settings restart same issue is again.
i have taken photo of the laptop bubble screen.
Please help me to resolve the issue.

New Battery only holds charge for 1.5 hours and battery icon giving up/down readings.
Just received a new Dell battery for my laptop. The battery icon starts out at 100% and time remaining at about 3. 5 hours left, then within 1 minute the time remaining levels off to about 2 hours left. The battery showing time remaining is jumping up and down. I am only using the computer for the internet. No CD or DVD or gaming. At best I get 1.5 hours out of a charge. Is this normal? Or did Dell send me a bad battery?

Problem with biometric sensor after format
Hi,
I perform format to my Dell vostro 5470 (win 10).
since then my biometric sensor is not working.
i can see under "Device manger" "synaptics FP sensors (WBF) (PID=0011)" but under control panel there is no biometric device.
i tried to install Digital persona fingerprint software but also there it says that fingerprint sensor is not connected.
please help!

Battery Plugged but not charging
I got my Inspiron 15-5000 series recently notice that the battery charged up to 60% and stop charging after that.
I was trying to change the setting in the Dell Power Management Lite many times but the setting does not work and also try to uninstall the battery drivers several time but it seen does not work.
Any idea who to solve it?

Service tag not found and Server 500 error
Service tag not found on an Ebay purchase. After I enter my tag number, I get the message that it is not valid. And after downloading the personal assistance software, the laptop displays the same ID as on the sticker on the bottom. Also, I am getting the "Server 500 error/down msg". any suggestions?

Using laptop without integrated monitor.
Hello community:
I started the year with this issue. The right hinge of the integrated monitor of my Inspiron 7537 is detached, the plastic part where the screws are attached is broken. I want to repair this, but in case it has no solution, I'm considering to operate my system without the monitor, just connecting an external HDMI monitor an use it has principal monitor. That's my idea, it's like turning my laptop into a desktop PC.
The question is: can I operate my laptop without the monitor?
I just want to be sure if this will not cause performance problems or electrical issues. The power cable of the monitor and the webcam will be disconnected from the motherboard, and also the Wi-Fi card because the antenna is stuck to the display, but I plan to move that antenna.
That's my doubt.

Dell XPS 15 L521x - Screen shows yellow flickering lines in white areas.
I need some help with diagnosing a problem with my dell laptop. I have a Dell XPS 15 L521x.
I have upgraded the RAM on the machine from 8GB to 16GB and also the built in caching mast SSD (32GB) to 250GB and made it the primary boot drive.
I upgraded the RAM a year ago, but when I took off the heatsink I just reattached it at the time.
I upgraded the msata yesterday, but this time I removed the heatsink, cleaned it and reapplied the thermal paste.
The new upgrade did what it should, my laptop boots super fast now. The issue I have is i randomly get yellow lines appear over the white areas on the screen. I've taken a few pictures which you can see in the links below:
Edit: I have tested this with another external monitor whilst the yellow lines were appearing and they didn't show on the external. I think it could be something to do with the IPS panel. Also note, this happens randomly and with less frequency now.

Unable to install windows 7 UEFI fail
I'm trying to install Windows 7 x64 on my Dell XPS 13 (currently on Windows 8 x64 & got nVidia driver memory leaks, that's why I'm downgrading) but once I enter te UEFI and select my USB device to boot I get a black screen with a white blinking text indicator. And nothing happens it just stays that way until I reboot or unput the USB device.
Thought it could be a USB 3.0 problem but USB 2.0 ports dont work either. I have done manny OS intalls before never had a problem like this...
System Specs: core I7-4770k CPU Z87-G45 MSI motherbord Corsair PRO series (2x4GB @ 1333Mhz) RAM series 830 samsung (128GB) SSD GTX 770 MSI GPU HX650 corsair PSU
Maybe someone has a fix for this problem, or I'm missing something stupid..

Dell M6800 usb 3.0 issues
Hello,
I have issues with the usb ports on my dell M6800.
1. First I can't transfer large files. Usb ports just hang and the transferring stops.
2. I can't transfer other smaller files for some reason unknown the laptop just stops reading from the usb disk.
3. Usb disk would randomly disconnect.
I have read other older threads here the the same issues but no one is suggesting any solution.
My OS win 8.1 x 64.
Can anyone help?

A Printer for my Dell 5520 Laptop is needed

I purchased a Dell Inspiron 5520 laptop back in 2012.
In 2015, I upgraded it to Windows 10.
What I need is a compatible printer for it and I would like to know what advice I can get from thes forum.
I need a practical printer for the purpose of printing shipping labels to send packages to Amazon.com
Black and white may do.
The printer should be able to cover various formats that fit certain templates like sticker labels
An example would be to print on multi labels on a single page.
I imagine there are decent affordable used models out there.
Model number suggestions are appreciated.

Dell Inspiron 15 i5548-1670SLV Signature Edition - Keyboard Backlight issue
My Dell Inspiron 15 i5548-1670SLV Signature Edition has Keyboard Backlight issue. Backlight is not glowing now. Keyboard is working as expected.
BTW, recently there was a power issue in my laptop and my battery is dead. Laptop is working only on AC power now. Checked the keyboard and both the wires from the keyboard are intact and does not have any problem.
All keys are working, and Caps Lock light is glowing when it is on. Just that the backlight is not glowing. Any suggestions on why its not working ?

Dell Latitude 12 Premier Keyboard very unstable with Latitude 7275
Hello!
We have during the last autumn bought 3 Dell Latitude 7275 2in1 which comes with the "Dell Latitude 12 Premier Keyboard"
On all of these we experience a very annoying issue.
When connected to the keyboard it behaves very unstable and frequently looses contact with the 7275 just by a light touch and does not work at all, the users have to be very picky in which angle they have the 7275 connected and use it for the keyboard to work at all.
We have spoken to Dell support last week and they say the are not aware of this at all.
We can´t believe this is "by design" and thus we wonder if anyone else have the same issues here ?
And if so have managed to solve it somehow and can share the solution.

Changing Boot Order
I have a new DELL laptop with Windows 8.1 PRO installed. I installed imaging software on it right away, created an image of the disk, and created bootable rescue media on a USB stick. However, I can’t get the laptop to boot from the USB stick and I believe it has to do with the BIOS boot order. I'd like to ask for some help in changing the boot order. I have some computer skills but feel I may be getting into an area where I need some simple, straight-forward instructions on how to accomplish this
I can access the UEFI/Boot page by pressing F12 or F2 during startup. I'm just not sure what steps to take from that point to allow the computer to look for a USB device before the internal hard drive. Most of the selectable options in the BIOS menu are a bit intimidating to me and I don’t want to create more problems by guessing.

Inspiron 7559 - Extremely slow startup
I have some trouble with booting my Inspiron 15 7559 (specs below). The problem occured like two days ago.
The main problem is that booting up since the power button was pressed to Windows Desktop last more than a minute. Just for comparison week ago it was not more than 20 seconds!
After everyting is loaded and I am finally inside Windows, I've not discovered any high CPU, RAM or HDD usage.
What happend
I've been copying files from one folder to another (from C:/ to D:/ drive), but the copying started to be extremely slow ( like 1mb/s ) after some time and the whole PC was lagging. I wasn't even able to open Task Manager so I was forced to "hard" restart by pressing and holding power button.
After that I was not able to boot up my system, where I was stuck in Dell welcome screen and the loading wheel was spinning forever...
For no reason I was able to run system into the desktop normally, but everything was very slow for no reason.
What I have tried without success:
- Factory reset ( keeping files, but it actually removed almost everything )
- Full antivirus scan, anti-malware scan - all clear
- Defragmenting both drives
- Disc scan (sfc /scannow) - without problems
- Startup services and programs were optimized (nothing is here what wasnt before, when the system was relatively fast)
- Setting up virtual memory
- Advanced boot options set to 2 processor and memory to 8192MB
- Disabled Intel SpeedStep
Problems:
- Slow system boot (when I enter my account password on login screen, it takes more than 30 seconds untill it takes me to Windows desktop!!)
- Browser lagging - when more tabs are opened the active tab freezing for a moment
I'm very disatisfied right now, since my laptop priced at avg. 1000€ booting up slower than mom's which costed around 350€...

8GB RAM
NVidia GeForce GTX 960M 4GB
1TB SATA (5.4km rpm) 2.5 "Hybrid with 8GB Flash
Windows 10

Left Click Button on E7450 is not working
Hi,
Need your help with this issue. The left clicker on my laptop is not working. I have tried checking the touchpad settings and it seems to be working fine. I have tried restarting the laptop too and still left click is not working.
What could be the possible solution for this?
