Laptop with two types 0f drives
I have a brand new Laptop from Dell It has two Hard drives, One is solid state and the other is a regular spindle HD.
My intent was to put on the solid state drive my key programs that need to run fast and to store "my Documents" on the slower drive.
What I have ended up with is everything on the solid state drive So How do I sort this out I can cut and past my documents and photos to the slow drive BUT how do I tell the programs where the documents are now located HELP

Inspiron 15 beeps and cannot get support because service tag number and express service code not recognized
I have had my Inspiron 15 3000 series since the end of August and was liking it until is started beeping a few weeks ago - sounds like a truck backing up. It does it 5 times and repeats 3 times when starting up. I tried online support but you cannot get anywhere until you enter your service tag number or express service code neither are recognized. I tried calling support but they could not identify my computer with the numbers either (I took pictures of them on my tablet and made them larger so I know they are right). I purchased my laptop on line. Initially there was a message about the power source, but I have popped my battery out and back in and the error message no longer pops up but is still beeps. I am at a complete loss as to what to do at this point and am incredibly frustrated.

Dell Precision Optimizer - Dell Precision 7710
I've got a Dell Precision 7710 with the Dell Precision Optimizer. It works great for when I'm using AutoCAD Civil 3D in setting up the laptop for optimization by turning off 2 cores and increasing the clock speed of the processor.
Unfortunately I also do programming with Virtual Machines. When I'm in this mode I want all 4 cores to share the load instead of 2 cores.
Is there a workflow available to go from one profile to no profile? Do I have to do a restart to switch between profiles? So if I'm doing CAD work and then switch over to programming do I have to turn off the AutoCAD profile to no profile and the restart the computer? I tried turning off the profiles and nothing changes for the cores.
Is there a way to create my own profile? Or should I pick one like 3ds Max that would utilize more cores? Or should I not use it since it won't meet my needs?

Inspiron 15 7000 - 7559 cursor is ugly and jagged
The cursor and loading icon is very ugly and seems to not have the anti-aliasing and transparency features installed. The cursor is very ugly and jagged looking and looks like it came from Windows 95. Any solutions to fix this? I already installed all the latest drivers for the Intel HD 530 chipset and the NVIDIA GTX 960.

My laptop when connected with AC and battery doesn't turn ON it just beeps and keeps on beeping. I have tried removing the battery and AC chord and pressing the power button to remove the residual power. But still doesn't turn on. The laptop is out of warranty . what could be the problem? HELP- U2417H Won't Chain
I just purchased 2 U2417H monitors and love them. I bought them so I could chain them together. I cant get them to work with my Dell laptop. I spoke to customer service tonight and they told me the U2417H is not capable or made to chain together. I have seen many post where people have done this and the owners manual even shows how to chain them together (page 25). I have a Latitude E6430 laptop connected to a Dell docking station. The docking station has a display port, but my laptop doesn't. I have already tried several configuration and adjustments to the monitor display- enable and disabling the mDP and DP. Is there anyone out there that can help me find a solutions. Thanks,

Dell 7559 screen goes black
I purchased dell inspiron 7559 about ha;f a month ago. I am repeatedly facing a problem of screen going black randomly. the power light is still on showing the laptop is still powered on. The back-lit is working i.e I can change its brightness level. however the caps-lock light is irrsponsive. If there is a video that is being played its audio is also turned off which shows the device has completely stopped working. I am looking forward for a helping response from dell.

Dell XPS 13 9360 Wifi disconnection and router AP crash Issues
Hi All,
I received my brand new Kaby Lake powered Dell XPS 13 9360 a couple of weeks back and I have been suffering from wifi disconnect issues since then. The USB LAN connection works perfectly using the Dell USB C adapter.
I have tried all the standard troubleshooting steps:
1. BIOS and Killer 1535 Wireless Adapter Driver updated to latest version (including uninstalling and reinstalling the wireless drivers)
2. Updated Windows 10 to the latest anniversary edition
3. Changed Power Saving settings on the Wireless Adapter using Powershell commands as there are no Power management options for the Killer Wireless adapter in Device Manager
(Disable-NetAdapterPowerManagement -Name "Wi-Fi" -NoRestart)
After running the above command I get the status of the relevant power mgmt parameters as below (though not sure if its really effective)
DeviceSleepOnDisconnect : Inactive
WakeOnMagicPacket : Disabled
4. Installed the latest Intel PROSet/Wireless Software and Drivers for Windows 10
Even after running step 1 and then later step,2 the wifi connection used to disconnect after some time (especially when a large file was being downloaded or any high network usage activity). Running a speed test of my broadband connection is a sure way to disconnect from wifi. More importantly this disconnection used to crash the Access Point on my TP-Link WR841N router which caused all my other devices to lose network connection as well and required a Router restart.
After steps 3 and 4 I have noticed the Wifi disconnections are not happening any more (atleast for now), but the Access Point crashes continue as it is, so effectively the wifi does not disconnect but the router AP crashes and needs a Router restart.
So my question to you all is do I need to change any config on the Wireless setup of my router to ensure the AP does not crash, or the should I change my router and get an AC router. If the router might not be the issue then it might be due to Windows 10 and the known issues with the Killer 1535 Wifi adapter itself.
I tried changing the Channel Width to 20 MHz but it reduced the network bandwidth and gave me 1/3rd of the available speed.
Any help and pointers especially keeping my specific router issue in mind would be much appreciated.

Dell Chromebook 11 Screw-gate and Lack of Resolution
Wondering how many are still seeing this issue. This thread explained the problem, and even provided some helpful information to resolve.
Unfortunately, Dell does not appear to have contributed to solving the issue.
We have a Chrome book 11 that we purchased 2 years ago, in the back are 7 screws to hold the case together. The center 3 screws are still there, but the 4 in the corners are all gone. The chrome book itself seems to be working fine, but worrying about the screws I started looking for the size needed and found this apparently was a wide spread issue. And No indication Dell had really tried to resolve it. After a round with customer service on the issue, they claimed we were not in their database and recommended we go to a PC store for the fix. What a joke. We have had several Dells over the years, been good machines, but they seem to have slipped with respect to customer service.

sudden black screen 7559
I have purchased a new dell 7559. Its screen randomly turns black. The device becomes irresponsive. The back-lit however is still working. The caps lock light doesnt respond. The power light is still on which shows device is powered on. The only solution to the problem is to restart the computer. I don,t find some specific software which causes this trouble. I hope dell can help me out through this.

Dell Latitude E5540 - RAM problems
I had 4 GB RAM, and wanted to put 4 GB more. There are 2 slots, one is empty, so I bought new module exactly the same, but not the same brand, it's Kingston, and originally in laptop is Samsung. When I started the laptop on, the battery LED is blinking, I've found that means this :
The memory modules are detected but have encountered an error.
What to do? Is it possible that I can't upgrade RAM on this laptop? It supports 16 GB. Thanks in advance.

FAULTY REPLACEMENT LAPTOP

I am Viren Kumar Gupta from New Delhi, I purchased Dell Inspiron 15R 5559 on 1/11/2016 and posted a complaint about faulty speakers at 6/11/2016 ( Crackling sound from one side of the speakers ). After doing a good back and forth with the customer support in diagnosing the fault and trying to fix it, Dell decided and supported me with the replacement of the product. They gave me a quotation for Dell Inspiron 15 5567 which is a notch better than the previous one. The only difference (Upgrades) were in the graphic card and the processor. I received the replacement laptop today ( 3/12/2016 ) around 1 PM and i was working on it for almost 2 or 3 hours, trying to figure out why my screen (FHD - Full high definition) is whitish and bright, like white cover on the screen, less of colors and more of whiteness when brightness is increased which wasn't the case with my previous (to be replaced) laptop (FHD), there is also a yellowish tint when looked from an angle. I compared another Dell product (FHD) laptop with the replacement laptop and i could clearly see the difference. I am attaching the screenshots of the difference. Left one is a Dell product with FHD Screen and the right one is the Inspiron 15 5567.
I have mailed the support team and i will definitely call them as well on Monday.
Forget about the inconvenience that has been caused to me this whole month for a purchase of 80,000 INR worth laptop
I am just in a shock and scared about this situation, just need an assurance from the dell team to look into this matter properly and not leaving me hanging with this.

brand new dell inspiron 13 7000 series
Can someone help me please.... I got a newly bought dell inspiron 13....it wont boot to windows now...it just stucks with the dell logo and after a few minutes a blue on screen will appear and turn off. I notice also that it heats up...the back side of the laptop is getting hot
