Problem

when I give a windows setup(windows10) its work..but after 15-20 mitutes it getting off screen but if behind I was in youtube that should play & I got its sound but pc do not do any kinds off work..restart & opening bettery also does not any work..if I get windows again it work as well as 15-20 mitutes..before windows 10 I work with windows 7.. its too much intolerable. . pc model :Inspiron N5110. ..ram 3gb,cori3... I'm helpless. I don't no what should my next step..plz help me with useful description. . .what can I do?

Hello,

I first contacted Dell on October 17th because my laptop (XPS 15) was shutting down every few minutes, without warning. After performing all of the online diagnostics tests without finding any errors, they determined that I need a new motherboard. The service call was made two days later, and my motherboard was replaced. However, my laptop no longer boots properly (I must try turning it on and then off at least 5 times before it will go into the proper boot sequence to start), all but 1 of the USB ports are not working, and my speakers are not working, either. I contacted Dell immediately again to inform them of the problem and they said that they would come replace the motherboard once again. The next service call was scheduled for Wednesday, November 2nd. I made rescheduled meetings and arrangements to work from home, but received a call at 10 AM saying that the part was not in, and so they would not come to service my laptop. I was frustrated, since I had scheduled the service call many days in advance and was never told that the part was not available. Yesterday, November 8th, I received many missed calls on my phone. When I called the number back, the technician said that they had gone to my house, and when I was not home, they closed my service call. I would have to call back to create a new call. I was never informed that they would come yesterday, and I was out of town on business so I could not be home for the service call. They told me that the part had come in, and that I could reschedule the service call. I rescheduled for today (November 9th), but was just informed that the part is no longer in, and the service call will take over a week to reschedule.

I think that this is a terrible display of customer service. I have been a loyal Dell customer for 10 years, but I have no intention of purchasing a Dell laptop again. How is it that parts that I need in order for my laptop to work properly are ordered, delivered without notice, canceled, and then no longer available the following day, even though an appointment has been made? I am not impressed with the logistics. I would like to know if anyone else has had a similar experience, and how upper levels of management or the complaints department can be contacted to have them fix this problem.

Dell Inspiron 15 7560 Battery Charging/Hard Disk Activity Indicator Not Working

Just bought this model a month ago. At first, I thought there isn't any LED Indicator in this model for charging/ HDD activity modulation but later when I saw the guide, I noticed an indicator just below the touchpad. But, the catch is that it isn't glowing at all. Even while charging, I tried the hotkey combination (Fn + H) to toggle that light but to no avail. Any idea as to how to activate this light?

Is there laptops with a keyboard similar to Dell Inspiron 2-in-1 11 3153?

Hi,

I'm having a hard time trying to find a replacement right control key do 2-in-1 Inspiron 11 3153, but I saw somewhere a 3147 model keyboard that seems too similar the one I have so I wonder if is there a list of similar products that have the same keyboard as it would increase the chances I find the proper key.

Attached a keyboard's image from the model I have and the right control key no longer there grace to my little cat Nino. :)

Hello,

On November 3rd, 2016, I bought this Laptop equipped with a A12-9700P APU and I would like to know what model is the Radeon R7 exactly ? 

There is a few R7 models out there but which will be mine when I will get the Laptop ?

Is the driver using the R7 supplied by Dell or we can use the AMD at their website when they update it every month ?

Dell XPS L521X Randomly Shut Down

Hi everybody

I own an XPS L521X that randomly shuts down, on battery or not.
Dell diagnostics doesn't find any problem.
I changed the HDD, remove mSATA, reinstall Windows 8, upgrade firmware (A16), and then tried to set a Linux dristib but the system stopped during the installation.


It must be a hardware problem. I changed the thermal paste and clean the fan but now... I don't see what to do more!

Any idea?

Problem with videocard drivers on Inspiron 5721 Win 10

Hello.

I've installed Win 10 on my laptop (Inspiron 5721) and i have a problem with videocard. Before new Win, i had Win 7 and i had video drivers installed. Now i can't do this. I've downloaded drivers from dell's site (http://www.dell.com/support/home/us/en/04/product-support/product/inspiron-17r-5721/drivers/advanced). I was installing drivers with AC adaptor plugged in. When i'm installing driver from dell site, it freezes on install tab. (I've waited for more than 15 mins). Wneh i try to install from amd website, i choose drivers from AMD Radeon™ R9 M200, R7 M200, R5 M200, HD 8500M - HD 8900M, and HD 7700M - HD 7900M​ Series for Win 10 it propose me to install only Setup Manager (20 mb) and it was installed successfully. When i had win 7, i have drivers installed and everything was good, now i even can't see AMD 8730M in Device Manager. Also i tried different windows. MBR cylinders not equal to bios

Hello.I am using dell inspiron 15 3542.

I am having the same problem of `mbr cylinders not equal to the bios'.

I performed the above steps said by the dell team but that did not help.I downloaded and updated the bios but again the problem resurfaced.

Please suggest some other ways to tackle this problem.

Showing laptop is charging while plugged off

I am having a dell inspiron 15 3558 laptop for 2 months. Now the problem is, while i plug out the charger it's showing charging also.The flash light down the touchpad (which shows charging) is also flashing even when the laptop is not set to the charger. The charging time have also increased. It takes 1hrs long for merely 8 to 9%. When i shut it down then also the light is flashing. What the solution???please   

Adding a Powered USB Hub to an Inspiron 5000 series

I attached a powered 6 port USB Hub to my Inspiron 5000 series laptop. The laptop will not boot up with the Hub connected, I must wait until after boot up is complete to connect the Hub. Is there a special USB Hub needed so that it can be connected at all times including boot up?

Dell ePSA Diagnostic Beep driving me crazy

hi,

Is there anyway to either remove or disable the Dell eSPA pre-boot diagnostic scan as the loud beep is driving my wife crazy, after a few boot ups the scan starts and the beep is really loud i have the dell xps 13 9350 running the latest bios 1.4.4 any solution would be greatly appreciated

Help - IRST won't load into BIOS Inspiron 17R 7720

I have two Inspiron 17R 7720 laptops - one I bought new from Dell 4 years ago, and another I bought off Ebay a couple of weeks ago. They have identical hardware except the old one has a Core i7 processor and a mSATA drive, while the new one has a Core i5 processor and no mSATA drive. I picked up a mSATA drive and installed it but cannot get the IRST configuration to load into into BIOS. I downloaded and installed the IRST drivers from the Dell website but the IRST drive configuration doesn't show up as an option in BIOS. I ran the repair program, uninstalled IRST , re-downloaded and reinstalled it several times over, but still cannot get IRST to appear in BIOS. The only drive options in my BIOS are ATA and AHCI, no IRST. When I look at my drive configuration in IRST Manager the HDD and mSATA both show up as standard SATA drives, not as a RAID 0 array. Both computers have version A11 BIOS, and the new computer meets the hardware requirements for IRST. Any ideas on how I can get this BIOS problem properly configured?

3 out of my four USB 3.0 ports are way under speed when transferring huge files, and sometime just hung. Could it be a hardware problem or a software issue? Please help! Thanks!!!!

Looking  at getting a 17 2 in 1 with I-7 6 th gen 6500u processor. It has 16 gb ram 2x8 and a 512 ssd hdd  I need to know is there 2 hdd slots and can I install a 1tb hdd with the ssd ?  also can I run 32 gb ram  2x16 in Place of the 2x8 ?   will the board / processor run 32 ?   also final question  how are hinge issue's with the 7778 17 in inspiron. I had great luck with my 7737 17 and I don't want to trade up to a problem

Dell XPS 13'' 9360 keyboard cursor jumps

I just bought a dell xps 13′‘ 9360 using the latest by today 1.07 BIOS version and it’s hard to write a paragraph of text without having the cursor jumping to somewhere else. So the only way to get proper text using the computer is by hitting ctrl+z every single minute of writing.

I remember my previous experience with dell xps 13′‘ 9343 where the same thing happened but much worser and was a known issue, fixed (if I'm not wrong) with a BIOS update later.

Is this something that is a known issue for dell? is there already a fix out or a fix coming?.

Dell Inspiron 15 300 series power cord won't plug into laptop anymore

I have had the computer since May and all of a sudden the power cord will not plug into the computer, thus the laptop cannot charge.  I had no issues until this last weekend when I went to plug in the power cord, it just fell out.  I can't tell if somehow the receiving end inside of the computer got moved, or if the metal end of the power cord got pushed deeper into the hard rubber part of the cord.  It appears the cord cannot reach to connect.

My laptop inspiron N5040 is not working for few days..... During start up after appearance of dell logo..a beep sound appears and startup process stops..windows donot load....sometimes occasionaly opens properly and after shut down if opened immediately same problme appears...I tried running diagnostic...it shows running MATS test for a long time..but no result appear...

What shouls i do??????

Hello,

I am a student currently pursuing my masters in Electrical Engineering here at a State University in California. A Laptop is the most integral and a very important tool for an engineering student. I used to have a different brand laptop which ran very well 2 years. Afterthat, last year in April'2015 the hard disk of my laptop was crashed due to water damage and I had to buy a new laptop. I decided that I would go for a DELL laptop this time thinking that they were robust and would last long. I purchased DELL Inspiron 7568 2in1 Touch laptop for a hefty price. I thought it would yield twin benefit of a conventional laptop and that of a tablet. After a week of use I started experiencing some issues with the laptop which I later found out was known as ghost touch. I tried to install new drivers and looked for a solution on Youtube. The problem grew over and used to happen more frequently. After like one month of purchase I called the DELL customer support asking for help. They updated my BIOS and said to contact them if the problem persists. Again after one week I called them stating that I still face the same issue. They asked me to send my Laptop to a service center so that the technicians can take a look at the matter. As my Final Examination was coming over I decided to send the laptop in the Fall break. I called the Dell support and asked if they can send me a spare laptop as I had to work on a project in the Fall break, but I was denied. It took around two weeks to send them a box as they sent it to a wrong address in the first attempt. After so many calls and emails finally, I got my box and quickly sent it to the mentioned address for repair. I used to call them frequently to get the status of my repair. After around 15 days I was informed that they could not repair my laptop and would now send me a refurbished laptop with the same model. I was frustrated but was happy that now I would get a laptop which would work fine. I got the laptop after a week and it was working fine. One day while doing work on my Laptop everything freeze and heard a buzzing sound coming from my speakers. I had to manually switch OFF and turn On using the power button and thought that it would not happen again. After one day I again experienced the same problem. I called the Dell support and they updated my BIOS of the returned laptop. I thought ok now it will work fine. After a few days, I again started to experience the same issue. I was so *** off, I again called the Dell support and this time I was told that I have to send my laptop to the Dell service center as this problem cannot be resolved over the phone. I was so annoyed and angry that I wanted to throw this laptop into the garbage. But I am not that financially strong to afford a new laptop and I cannot live without a laptop due to the immense work and projects that we have to do in our studies. I again called them and asked if they can send me a spare laptop or a used laptop on which I can do my studies, but I was denied. How can I send my laptop for repair in the middle of a semester? I am living with this problem for the past 3 months and have lost a lot of work due to this. The laptop has frozen many times in the middle of my works, which results in starting them over again. My friends make fun of me saying that I invested so much money and got a machine which doesn't even work properly. And now I realize that yes it was my big mistake choosing DELL over other brands. I hope DELL authorities will look into this matter very seriously so that no one else faces the problem as I am facing right now. I will never choose DELL again in my life and will try to get rid of this laptop.
