XPS 702 won't boot
OK, had issues with laptop since spilled a little liquid on it - think it affected the power button as everything else was dry but eventually noticed it wouldn't power on via the button - and of course no way to boot in other ways - I saw other posts about removing battery, holding power button for 30 seconds, reconnecting power and it powers on very briefly, DELL flashes up on screen and then it powers off.
I did have a fix where I took out the CMOS (as thought the battery was probably 6 years or older), powered on and it took me to the BIOS screen, and could boot from there. I'e been able to use the laotop for the last week by never shutting down - only sleeping as the lid sensor will get the computer to wake up. Everything about the laptop works when it's on - as long as I only sleep or choose reboot. Can't therefore hibernate or power off as no way to power on.
I've had a new power button switch arrive from an ebay seller, fitted this, tested reboot and sleep and light is working on the power button (old one was too), and so have eventually had the guts to power off the system totally to test the new button.
Zilch - nada - dead,
Battery out, hold switch, connect power, it wakes up for about 2 seconds and then goes off. Can't even get to the bios menu or boot. Taking out the cmos worked last week but even this fix doesn't help me now. I've tried all combinations of battery in/out/cmos in/out / lead in/out and can get no further. also tried disconnecting power switch from m/b lead and no difference.
The weird thing is that it would reboot, when it was up and running windows, but not from hibernate or power off. I feel it was something to do with the power button because of this, but a new button hasn't worked.
HELP please!

The hinge of my laptop Latitude E5420 is broke when i opened it as usual. But unfortunately i have no smartphone so I'm posting the picture but the issue is same with my laptop,the right hinge is broken like in the picture. It's not in warranty too. Is there any solution?

Inspiron 13 7000, Cracked screen
Hi,
At first I was shocked to see what had just happened. My system is not even 6 months old. I finish my work shut the laptop and when I open it next the screen is cracked. Not external damage just out of the blue the screen cracks on the left side. HELP! In my opinion, I see this is a design problem. What to do next?

Capslock LED not working properly causing beeps always.
I have got a problem with the malfunctioning of LED of Caps Lock Key on my INSPIRON 15R. The Caps Lock Key LED isn't getting flashed whenever it's turned ON even though the Key is functioning properly. And whenever this problem comes, 5 beeps come continuously with a small pause. But this problem doesn't come every time I turn the Caps Lock ON. Sometimes the LED functions properly which doesn't lead to those beeps.

Dell Vostro 3550 with i5-2410M: replace motherboard from i3-2310M?
Hi,
I own a Vostro 3550 with i5-2410M, however the mainboard is apparently defective - the notebook is not starting anymore. Now I have the opportunity to buy a second Vostro 3550 and I intend to use the parts for repairing my own Vostro, however this one has only an i3-2310M CPU. Question: is the motherboard the same and I can use this for exchanging or have both version different montherboards?

Precision M3800; Electric Shock Issue
I am writing this with regards to my experience I am having with the repair service provided by Dell and the issues I am facing with the machine.
I want to know if there is any way possible the current issue I’m facing can be resolved once and for all or I have to forever get stuck with this issue.
Facts
Currently, up to this day, I am still facing the electric shock issue. Not only me, other people who use the machine said the same too. It’s annoying to the point that whenever I use the machine I will always feel stress especially when typing. There is no satisfaction.
This happens normally when the machine is fully charged and is connected to the power socket. When I unplug, things will be more relax as I will not expect to feel the shock issue during typing.
Dell has helped me out by changing the motherboard many times and changing the power adapter but the issue persists.
This has been going on for so long. I emailed the service team if they can just replace the machine with a new one but unfortunately, this request was ignored.
Therefore, the question is how do I solve it this or should I just accept this unfortunate issue that persists till today.
I went through a lot of issues with this machine in the past. I am frustrated but I was patience since throughout that time I was still in university I have the time to wait. Now, two months ago I just graduated and just started my full-time work. I just want Dell to help me solve the issue once and done.
When I first received it, it was fine and perfect; only after 10 months things starts to happen. It begins with the screen having some black marks, then the power adapter not working…etc.
As of now, the shock issue still persists. My only wish if Dell could do something more to solve it rather than keep changing the motherboard and the adapter over again. Dell should look at the past histories on how they resolve the issues I face and learn from it.

Downgrade BIOS version from A12 to A06 of Dell Inspiron N3542
How to Downgrade Dell Inspiron N3542 BIOS from A12 to A06?
I upgraded my BIOS to A12. It change my Legacy BIOS to UEFI.
Now I want to install windows afresh but it didn’t boot into windows disc or USB flash drive while secure boot mode enabled.
If I disable secure boot mode it boots into windows disc but pointer does not work in windows setup. I attached an external mouse and installed windows but when it finished installing, pointer don’t appear and touchpad not working even after installing latest touchpad driver.
If I change my UEFI to Legacy BIOS mode and boot into windows disk it install windows.While in windows setup it asks me to change GPT partition style to MBR partition style. I googled and did this but the medthod compelled me to clean me hard drive and loss all the data. Everytime I install winodws I have to clean my hard drive.
The installed windows is not working well with many errors and not allowing updates and many more things that I am not able to describe here.
I want to rollback my BIOS to previous version that is A06 so that I get all these problems solved.
I downloaded previous version of BIOS from Dell website but when I run it It tells me Dell don’t recommend to downgrade and closed.
Please guide me how can I downgrade it.

DELL Inspiron 5520 Radeon 7670 upgrade

As you probably see, I have an Inspiron 5520 with i7 and a second GPU(Radeon 7670m) with 1GB and I was wondering, if it's possible to upgrade the GPU with one that's more powerful, for example a 7670m with 2 Gb.

New Dell Inspiron 15 5000 Series laptop - trouble connecting to LG TV via HDMI cable
I have just bought this Dell laptop and is having issues while connect the screen to my LG TV - the first day it works all fine, then after the TV screen start to blink (screen on for say 10 seconds and then black out/blink 1 or 2 times) - I have tried switching to another HDMI cable and still having issues - what is the problem??

I don't think it is a TV problem as I have used the same HDMI cable for other devices and it has worked just fine.

Dell inspiron 15-3521 black screen after reset
Hi! I have Dell Inspiron 15-3521 and I am using it for atleast three years. This one is bought in Abu Dhabi, UAE and was used by my sister for about a year or two then she shipped it here in the Philippines because I needed it. It has Windows 8.1 when it arrived here. The problem occured yesterday. It was perfectly running when i used it when i got home from school but Chrome was annoyingly kept on not responding. I refreshed the desktop before I reloaded Chrome when I noticed that the desktop icons were not showing up. I shrugged it off thinking my laptop is just being slow. Still annoyed on Chrome, I decided to turn my laptop off and took a nap. Note that I didnt plugged it off. After 3 hours of nap, I turned it on and it actually booted but a black screen. I turned it off and on again for about three times but still a black screen. I tried to turn it on inserting its battery then it showed the Recovery page of Windows saying that Windows didn't load correctly. I turned it off again then plugged it again without its battery. It showed the same page then I asked a friend on what should I do. He told me to try opening it on safe mode. I did but it showed that automatic repair couldn't repair my pc. I did a second attempt to enter safe mode. After about 20 minutes, it booted on safe mode. I then decided that I will just reset it so I back up important files on my USB flashdrive. I tried to reset it but only the drive on which Windows is installed. It worked but after reset, the power and search icons where missing. It was supposedly be right beside my account on Start page. Also, Start icon on desktop was not showing up. I just decided to finish things up tomorrow then I shutted it down. Today, I tried to reset it again but i decided to clean all drives this time. It took almost 3 hours to finish then after the welcome start up and Hi, we're setting things up for you blah blah, it just turned out to a black screen. After like 10 minutes, a messaged showing that Stop running this script? popped up. I stupidly clicked No. It is still on black screen till now. Any suggestions on what should I do now?

Intel Graphics accelerator crashing
Hello I have a Dell inspiron N4110 and everytime I run any game or application my screen goes black and a message is displayed that "Display Driver Intel Graphics Accelerator Drivers for Windows 7(R) stopped responding and has successfully recovered." Earlier I never encountered any such problem but now it is becoming a headache. Please help.

Hi all
My next laptop will be the XPS 15, but I'll be waiting for new versions of it with updated graphics card and cpu's.
As I'm new to Dell and to the XPS series, I have no idea of their update cycle. Is someone able to give me an estimate of when they'll probably be updated so my waiting period can be a bit more beareable?

Dell E6320 wifi wont turn on
i have Dell Latitude E6320 and since today everything worked perfectly.
now if i try to turn wifi on, it switches imediately off.
I updated the drivers, and tried to pres Fn+F2. it doesnt work
is there another key combination for E6320? Because the wifi led isn't on .
